Lot depends on two lawyers and how they approach things. Discuss with your lawyer if you could settle without going through years old discoveries and documents, and some good proposals to opposite party. Ok to take some financial hit up front to give up some extra assets/cash to STBX, otherwise lawyers’ meter will continue and you pay to them anyways, and you still have to pay to her after final divorce decision.

My ex was basically done with me after we had second kid. She found ways to stay away and I kept trying and changing myself, hoping we could fix it. After many painful years, I just couldn’t. Also kids grew up so it was easy to tell them what’s going on.

I think it’s ok to do some of those things while you’re physically still in same house. Once you move out, establish clear boundaries you are not “free handyman on call”, unless of course it’s an emergency or something big that she may need assistance. Good luck OP.

It’s bit wordy but a good book who is going through imbalance in personality types in relationships. This may help. Give it a try. I am not a reader so I did audible. Hang in there. I am lonely and feel like Loosing touch with my teenagers, but I don’t want to go back to prior days at the expense of my mental health.…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
