I disagree. People have been put on that list for far less than attempting to ruin someone's life. A false accusation at the very least should have the consequence of having the accuser known to the general public of their crime. Unless another system of crime acknowledgement is created, the sex offender registry is, in my opinion, the best way to have the accuser punished.

Yeah I'm sorry that it hurts, but that has little to do with what I initially said. I have yet to see conclusive evidence for what causes it without it being broken down to a disorder. You are who you are, and nobody can say otherwise. But all I'm saying is it could simply be some unexplained mental illness we don't understand completely yet.

Right, but hurt feelings shouldn't get in the way of learning what truly causes the disorder. Maybe if we put feelings aside while we find out exactly how it works, we can help a lot of people from feeling like they have to put their bodies through that kind of stress just to feel comfortable in their skin.

Seriously? How many people suffering of body dysmorphia kill themselves every year? There's plenty of mental distress going on there. There's still lots of study going into deciding what exactly is happening in the head of a person with body dysmorphia. Mental illness is not out of the question.
