The thought occurred to me that Disney has promoted a lot of princess & white knight archetypes. Might be interesting to see how these have changed our norms over time. Disney as a cultural phenomenon is pretty pervasive.

Ouch. I'll explain my experience with it soon. Very scary stuff.

Alright point taken. I understand you're looking out for me, man-to-man so to speak. Nothing like a little spar to bond.

I don't apologize to my ex or people on the street anymore. I just perceived that I perhaps was entering a fraternity of sorts so respect was in order. Perhaps you should lighten up a bit.

An actual comment on this article: "sorry i meant if you have a nail that causes the leak, if it's too near the sidewall you cant , but if its near the middle if the tire, hears what u do. get a plug kit, i carry one in my trunk. mark with a bit of spray paint where the nail is. pull nail out with pliers.. now use a rasp supplied to roughen up where the hole is then you put the rubber patch, it looks like a short worm thru the needle supplied, now you really have to bear down, push the needle th…

Were you reading it hoping to find out why the hookers aren't cheaper? I kid.

Right before my son was born my business tanked hard. Worst time of my life professionally. I started networking like crazy and managed to slowly pull my business together. A bit of RP injected here. If you are the 'man' and are being asked to provide financially, be willing to also stand up for doing something you are good at and can enjoy. My wife and I are split because she has Borderline Personality Disorder and was convinced that my business was more important to me than her. I told her so …

As a newcomer to TRP, I like analysis of movies, TV shows, news events, etc, through the lens of TRP. It's a good way to provide more or less universal examples that we can instantly recall for things we have read or watched. If something is new or foreign to someone, they can catch up by finding it and applying TRP logic to it and seeing how their analysis compares to others. It's been helpful the last few weeks to watch movies like Intolerable Cruelty with RP goggles on. It also changed my imp…

In the interest of clarity: Would you say that you don't love Women, but may love an woman?

It's rare for a society to stop providing something once they get start. That's the gist. We provide social security, then people expect it forever. Not much different from how my ex couldn't stand it when we had to cut our budget.

That is correct as well. Individual state governments were establishing their own roads, taxes, militia etc. at this time as well and actually did more in many cases than the federal gvt.

2-3% GDP in a growing country means that, wait for it, the government was growing. I'm not muting your point about women's suffrage.

Anarchism has been diluted as an idea down to the point of being pretty meaningless. I have a couple of female friends who are anarchists and their main reason is so they can set up little fascist communes that the government can't regulate. All the men in those groups are practically castrated.

Libertarianism takes some convincing and rational argumentation to sell. It require buy-in and participation from people to understand what government's role should be in their lives. I disagree that men want government to 'take care of them' by being small. That seems contradictory to me. Government size has been partially a function of how old it is in general. The longer it functions, the more complex it's laws and oversight. I would love to be with a woman who saw government as a facilitator…

I have to say I disagree. I don't have anything to hide, but I would be pissed if my GF looked. My ex had a password on everything. Didn't worry about it.

Some do. It's just not very common in our society. Our culture is designed to make people emotionally stupid. If we were emotionally smart, we wouldn't need all of the crap we're sold.

Many chances and no results. That sucks. I hope it's not true that people don't change. I have heard that sentiment from many people.

I didn't mean to say he is Red Pill. He's a traditional family values type, but on the topic of damage caused by feminism he has some keen observations.

This. Focus, like a lazer-beam on investing in things that really bring you joy. I think solo video gaming can be very destructive to personal development. Group gaming might be a bit different, but it tends to sap drive.

The kind of woman I want to be with like strong men. Women who like weak men have something wrong with them. And yes, female sexuality is more plastic than men's, but that does not invalidate a generality. If you don't see the value in generalities..... there is little hope for you.

I think it does not hurt to give them a chance. You never know. Love makes it worth it when you have so much invested in it. I wouldn't wait around very long though.

You should write up a report. I'm kind of going through a similar thing. My wife has almost all of the symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder. I have always stood up to her and called her out on her shit, but her empty promises and erratic temper just became too much. After she pulled a knife on me I thought to my self that it was over and waited until she thought it was her idea. Four months later and I'm much happier and finding that I was seriously bogged down by her bullshit. I'm going …

The response to this should always be something like: 'Oh, you read minds?' Or 'How do you know?. Always a question. Also, if BPD is involved (as one comment mentioned) with ANY woman just run away. No fuck, just RUN!!

This. My wife has this. They say go away with their mouth, but put their hand out to get you to go away. 'I hate you, Don't leave me' Thing about it is that you can't tell them. They FLIP out!!

One of my feminist profs had us read Betty Freidan's 'The Feminine Mystique'. Opening line: 'Women of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your vacuum cleaners'. So yeah, Marxist inspiration, but pretty derivative and petty.

I think he should pull an American Beauty and turn into an Alpha to see what she does. Some women (probably a small percentage) respond well to dynamic changes in men. Didn't work out so well for Lester, but I know some women eat that shit up.

The bleeding from the ears points towards this being real. I put in it the 'too weird to be made up' category.
