| 1 | Have you guys stumbled upon really old texting convos?35 - it’s really strange, but women from 21-25 seem to be really attracted to me. I don’t get it, I’m ugly and old, yet they keep flirting with me. Granted, I have done a ton of work on improving socially and developing my wit/humor. About to say screw the social stigma - I don’t know though. Not like I actively aim for the range, I basically flirt/try to be funny with with any girl I encounter (waitresses, baristas, any girl). I haven’t done a cold, cold approach yet, but I’m working towards it… | /r/seduction | 01/09/22 12:03 AM |
| – | Have you guys stumbled upon really old texting convos?I’ve definitely done this with girls I’ve liked; I cringe in retrospect. Granted, I’ve never gotten a gf or been with a girl yet, but I will never deal with that again. Had a girl basically use me as an ego boost/best friend for a year. Once she got a boyfriend, I got scrapped, never to hear from her again. She later married said dude and had kids with him. The experience unfortunately changed my view in women, but I absolutely cringe at those text messages. She was so kind as to add me on every… | /r/seduction | 30/08/22 10:44 AM |
| – | What constitutes flirting, especially in women to you?A bit of everything. Right now, I find I’m shitting my brains out merely talking with really attractive women so I’m merely trying to get over my fears. Surprisingly, I’ve said things I found extremely uncomfortable to say, which got them laughing, maybe a good sign I did something correctly. Eventually, I want to start cold-approaching, but I figure I need to be able to hold conversations/flirt with women first. Maybe someday that terror of approaching/speaking to really attractive women will g… | /r/seduction | 29/08/22 11:39 PM |
| – | What constitutes flirting, especially in women to you?Not flirting, but Improv(e) your communication by Patrick King is an excellent book for being witty and thinking on your feet. There’s some helpful drills in there as well. One drill involves looking up 5 random words from a dictionary and making up a story using them. I’ve found it much easier to hold conversations with people now. | /r/seduction | 27/08/22 11:46 PM |
| 1 | What constitutes flirting, especially in women to you?Awesome, perfectly stated. I agree 1000% that adding an emotion to the end of the compliment adds so much more to it. The book I’ve read, “improv(e) your conversations” also recommends including emotion into your conversations. By nature, women are generally more attuned to the emotional aspects of things so including the second part of the compliment adds value to it. Thank you very much! | /r/seduction | 27/08/22 04:23 AM |
| – | What constitutes flirting, especially in women to you?One (dress one) leaves a bit more suggestiveness? The nervous one doesn’t really seem that different if I’m honest. I once tried to flirt with a girl by making sexual jokes but still ended up in the friendzone lol. Sorry, I’m such a dense moron, just never done this sort of thing, nor had a girl do it to me. | /r/seduction | 26/08/22 11:37 PM |
| – | What constitutes flirting, especially in women to you?So basically, I’m gunna have to do the one thing I’ve never done before and compliment someone lol. Usually, I just do the opposite - this definitely won’t come easily for me. | /r/seduction | 26/08/22 11:17 PM |
| 1 | What constitutes flirting, especially in women to you? Thanks man, this group is a lot more upbeat than the forever alone one. There I just get bashed for not wanting to do online dating and for flirting with waitresses/baristas/other women I encounter for practice - the women I encounter are laughing, so I don’t think they mind. | /r/seduction | 26/08/22 09:55 PM |
| – | What constitutes flirting, especially in women to you?It does very much so. I’m thinking of joining activities where I might encounter a lot of really… uhem, attractive women like spinning. A lot of the activities I’ve been involved with have had really old people in them. | /r/seduction | 26/08/22 03:42 PM |
| – | What constitutes flirting, especially in women to you?Women, I only did that to try getting some sort of benchmark. I know that a straight male is not flirting with me, so at least I can use that to try discerning if women are flirting with me. I’ve only had two-four women actually show interest in me throughout my life. I was attempting to benchmark interest vs non-interest. Unfortunately, it hasn’t really helped my understanding of women lol. | /r/seduction | 26/08/22 12:38 PM |
| – | What constitutes flirting, especially in women to you?I want to lean more towards the smiling and laughing being a good thing, but I get a similar response from men. As an experiment, I basically did what I do with women (joke/ask questions) to men and got a very similar response. Women tend to laugh a bit harder, but the response is nearly identical. | /r/seduction | 26/08/22 11:00 AM |
| – | What constitutes flirting, especially in women to you? This is what’s difficult; I’ve very, very rarely had women engage me in conversation, unless I approach them first. Hardly get eye contact. Yet the conversation seems to flow when I speak to them and they laugh. Maybe I’m just ugly lol. | /r/seduction | 26/08/22 04:55 AM |
| 1 | First Date: Why is it bad to talk about past relationships? That’s like going “hey judge, I didn’t know what the speed limit is in this area, there were no signs,” when you were speeding. Judge isn’t going to care about your reasons. Just like most women won’t care about your reasons for being a virgin. Past a certain age, most don’t want to train you how to do it. 25 isn’t that bad and most women will be more forgiving. 30+, as in my case, will cause you to get brandished with a scarlet “V” for virgin. | /r/seduction | 23/08/22 12:50 AM |
| – | First Date: Why is it bad to talk about past relationships? This is absolutely true. I’ve been on a single date throughout my entire life. I’m 34 and never been in a relationship. The second a girl hear’s about my lack of experience, it’ll set off 100’s of red-flags. Ideally, just don’t bring the lack of experience up, but if she asks about it, you should make the lie have a ring of truth to it (it’s much more difficult to get caught in a lie having some truth to it). Say something like “I’ve had 1 relationship a while back because I have very high stand… | /r/seduction | 22/08/22 02:36 PM |
| 28 | Did Models by Mark Manson actually help you?Models is a very helpful book honestly. This coming from a dude in my mid-thirties, who's never been in a relationship and been on a single date. There is some very solid advice in the book. Granted, I'm a beginner, but we all gotta start somewhere, right? To improve socially, I would definitely recommend reading "improv(e) your conversations" by Patrick King. I'm finally getting over my social anxiety and getting out there, talking to women. The book is very helpful in speaking to people in gen… | /r/seduction | 16/08/22 12:51 AM |
| 2 | Has anyone successfully asked a waitress out?Thank you. I just need to get over the stupid age construct society puts in place. Think I’m gunna keep pushing. | /r/seduction | 29/07/22 06:30 AM |
| 1 | Has anyone successfully asked a waitress out?So I should just keep keep trying to push things forward? She was FaceTiming someone the other day, goofing around, and I said something like “you ladies must really have some fun at work” to which her and her less attractive friend started cracking up. Having very little experience with women, I presume I’m doing ok if I’m getting a lot of them to laugh at me. | /r/seduction | 29/07/22 06:10 AM |
| – | Has anyone successfully asked a waitress out? This is excellent advice. I’m 35 and have never had luck with women. I’ve been forcing myself to go up to baristas/waitresses and start conversations with them. Some seem to like me - they’re constantly laughing and I’ve noticed some are starting to ask me questions about about things they know I’m involved with…. They’re probably just looking for a tip, though. Further, I’m sadly too old for a 21 year old. I just wouldn’t tell them I was practicing. | /r/seduction | 29/07/22 01:56 AM |
| – | Has anyone successfully asked a waitress out?I was thinking about doing this with a really attractive barista. She literally went on and on talking to me at one point and I’m constantly able to get her to laugh. Sadly, she’s just too young as I’m 35 and she’s in college. Oh well. | /r/seduction | 29/07/22 01:47 AM |
| 1 | [deleted by user]Hasn’t worked for me in the 35 years I’ve been alive. I never even really cared that much about dating before. Only ever had a single girl ask me out throughout my entire life. The not caring what they think attitude hasn’t worked for me yet. Since I’ve started acting more extreme, I’ve been getting more attention. | /r/seduction | 07/07/22 11:53 PM |
| 1 | [deleted by user]I’m just wondering if this sort of thing would be acceptable to do outside of a bar? For example, a brewery or a bike spinning class. Bars do make sense though as people go there to socialize, whereas people don’t go to a spinning class to socialize- so I see your point. Plus, if I got liquid courage into myself it might help. Really good advice though so thank you. | /r/seduction | 07/07/22 12:11 AM |
| – | [deleted by user]Probably makes more sense to do that sort of thing at a bar. Club is going to be way too loud. Only downside is that I’ve found bars to be really loud as well, so you can’t really hear people. I could always use the shortcut method of getting dates through my friend, who’s really good with women. Only downside is then I won’t learn how to do that sort of thing myself. | /r/seduction | 06/07/22 11:47 PM |
| 1 | [deleted by user]It’s probably just not something I’m used to doing. From what I’ve read on different posts, most women don’t really like compliments based upon appearance? | /r/seduction | 06/07/22 01:04 PM |
| 1 | [deleted by user]I usually have women cracking up at me, but then we just sort of walk past one another with me thinking “you’re really killing it.” I just have a difficult time pushing the conversation past some opening thing. | /r/seduction | 06/07/22 10:03 AM |
| – | [deleted by user]It's about being polar (I think). You either want girls to love or hate you, not be some neutral charecter. | /r/seduction | 06/07/22 02:59 AM |
| 2 | [deleted by user]I'm just starting to talk to women I meet in public to get comfortable with the idea cold-approaching. I don't think women necessarily like "assholes" per-se. I think they like people that are polar - "you either love me or hate me." They either want a Trump or a Biden, not some independent. Instead of saying "I don't have an opinion on abc" they want someone to say "I Love [or] Hate abc." You either want them to love or hate you, not be some lukewarm friend. The book I'm reading also suggest th… | /r/seduction | 06/07/22 02:58 AM |
