Matters if it's considered a public place or not. Walmart refusing you service because you are black, that's no bueno. Private dining club/golf/heritage refusing you membership because you're black/not-italian, that's fine (well besides all the media hoop-la that would come out of it, from a government intervention point you are fine). it certainly would, but the question is whether it should provoke a shit storm either way. I think if it's a private organization they should be able to select their members based on whatever criteria they want. do i think it's stupid to not let men in that day care? absolutely. do I think they should have the right to do that? devils advocate here: isn't using the media before there is some sort of legal proceeding something that shouldn't be encouraging? i'm really happy he's reporting it, but bringing the media into it before she was found guilty by the legal system is just getting public opinion behind him, not trying to expose that men are also victims of domestic violence. I was about to post a very similar response. Do I care what an ad shows? Absolutely not!
