I completely agree. I have never read a satisfactory definition of the "alpha/beta dichotomy". In some posts/videos/articles, it seems like the "alpha/beta dichotomy" is the same as the widely supported cad/dad dichotomy known from Evolutionary Psychology, while in others, it seems to be more related to the self-confidence, assertiveness, or maybe even douchebagness of the male.
