How exactly do they plan on banning BTC considering they can't tell who is receiving what money or what purpose when they sell out of their wallet for real money? Finance isn't exactly well regulated in India, they can't stop anyone selling up.

Perhaps consider using a federated social media service? i.e something decentralised. Whatever you do, try to avoid plugins and leaks of data, and try not to need real user data for signups as there's no need for it. You better make sure all passwords are hashed and salted too. People will be looking to hack the platform and leak user data. If they can't shut down your host, they will try to go after your domain name by reporting you to your domain registrar, so be ready for that also.

Having an ultimate goal is good, and look at the performance goals, and the behaviour goals. Performance goals are the performance necessary to achieve the ultimate goal, and behaviour goals are how you achieve the necessary performance (i.e studying a subject, or getting faster/stronger, or practicing your skill).

Very much so. But it means I don't trust them. If it's happened once, it'll happen more than once, whether you hear about it or not. They couldn't even talk about it because what they did was illegal.

Protonmail isn't secure either. If someone messages them saying you're a racist they'll just look into all of your emails then delete your account. It's happened before. If you self-host email you will get hacked constantly too, so there's that to think about.

it's necessary if you're overweight, which in the western world is many people. The argument is mainly that it's not complicated, it boils down to 2 things: 1) not eating a shitton of carbs, and 2) not eating constantly (or at night, close to when you sleep).
/r/TheRedPill03/07/20 06:20 PM

What's a meme is how much you don't understand. It's not a hardcore diet, and it's not difficult. I even explained it boils down to basically 2 things as far as your eating is concerned: 1) not eating a fuck ton of carbs, and 2) not eating constantly. But that's alright, it's clear you aren't going to think about it at all so no point in discussing it

Everything you wrote was retarded, so why are you putting OP down? This is a distillation of work by a famous doctor who runs a diabetic clinic in canada, he makes a living off of treating people with type 2 diabetes, controlling their insulin, and also curing obese people and managing and preventing pre-diabetic obese people from getting worse. He knows how weight loss works as well as anyone alive. He has dedicated his life to reviewing the evidence and showing why 1) calories are a meme, and …

eating at a calorie deficit will get you there No, it won't, which is what Dr Fung has dedicated a massive amount of his writing to. Calorie deficits slow your metabolism until the weight goes back on, and he cites the body of evidence which largely supports this. You can eat a ton of calories a day and not gain any fat, even if it's over what you'd typically call your BMR. There are other things your body can do with calories than simply store them as fat.
/r/TheRedPill02/07/20 09:55 PM
1

The human body isn't a closed system. Dr Fung (guy in the video) actually studied physics during his time in medical school, and in his book explains why it doesn't apply. It's time to let go of those entrenched ideas about calorie deficits you have cus it just isn't true buddy
/r/TheRedPill02/07/20 09:53 PM
1

it's not the most important factor, as Dr Fung has demonstrated in his large survey of the research going back to the early 1900s. There have been studies showing people who eat 5000 calories a day do not put on any fat, and studies showing fat people who run marathons did not lose any weight. People who count calories never keep the weight off forever. I didn't either.
/r/TheRedPill02/07/20 09:52 PM

2) What does crash someone's metabolism? Something has to do it. Eating a calorie deficit everyday until your body slows your metabolism down so much you can no longer lose weight with a deficit. Eating more calories will keep your metabolism up, but if you keep your insulin down you will lose weight. 48 hour fasts but won't that cause a person's metabolism to plummet No, fasting does the opposite. It raises your metabolism. When we were cavemen, if we didn't eat food for a day or 2, getting wea…

No, you need to let go of the concept of weight gain or loss being a function of calorific intake, because that only works temporarily. When you lose the weight, your metabolism slows down and it becomes impossible to lose more weight with the deficit. He's saying that if you took 200 calories of olive oil, or 200 calories of sugary shit, the effects these have on your insulin is very different. The reason we're fatter than ever now is because high insulin stops your body burning its main store …

OP thinks that insulin can magically defy the laws of thermodynamics. Dr Fung (the guy in the video) in his book The Obesity Code, studied physics during his time in medical school, and specifically shuts down the meme of "muh thermodynamics". The tl;dr of it is, the human body is not a closed system, and the idea energy is neither created nor destroyed only applies in closed systems. I'd suggest you read his book or at least watch some of his videos, he has already shot down every meme argument…

Controlling insulin distribution is pro level bodybuilder shit Not really, as most people throughout human history had no idea what a calorie was. The obesity epidemic in the west began when we began to be fed memes such as "fat is bad for you, eat more whole grains (carbs) instead". Fat consumption decreased in the western diet, protein consumption decreased, carb consumption increased. We have more scientific knowledge, but have never been fatter in any period of our history. Time to start cor…

In the context of insulin levels, carbs (which are all broken down into sugars anyway) and sugar both go in the "avoid" category. To that extent I am happy to categorise them together. There is evidence caloric deficits work temporarily, and when your metabolism goes down the weight goes back on, as you cannot continually increase a caloric deficit. The minnesota starvation experiment in the 50s also showed that the more you reduce your caloric intake, the sicker, poorer hair, and poorer nails a…

Sugar. You are forgetting all about sugar. Sugar is included in "carbs". Eat more calories than you burn and you gain weight. Burn more calories than you eat and you lose weight. It’s not nearly as complex as you’re making it seem. It's not complex, but it is different to that. Calories are a meme and it's no joke, calorie deficits do not work in the long term because your metabolism slows down and then the weight goes back on, and all the evidence on caloric restriction supports this. I now mai…

Check out his book The Obesity Code. He's a famous doctor who surveys the landscape of research into why insulin makes us fat, why cortisol makes us fat, and why carbs, eating too often, eating protein too often (also raises insulin) is what makes us fat. He talks about the failure of calorie-deficit dieting, and the failure of exercise (even fat people who have run marathons and lost no weight) regimes, and it's all backed up by research, on some topics going back to the 1800s! He talks about t…

Isn’t he the guy who promotes fasting as a means of reversing diabetes? He runs the Institute for Dietary Management and indeed fasting is a key treatment in his program. Which one do you think is getting fat on the same 3,300 calories? Depends what the calories are made out of. Back before the "fat is bad" meme, we ate more fat. Before the "eat more whole grains" meme, we ate less carbs. Obesity began to spike when fat was reduced and carbs were increased. Snacking (eating constantly throughout…

Are you telling me I could eat, say, 5,000 calories a day, but so long as they're not sugars and carbs, I won't gain fat? basically yeah, look into jason fung's books and videos. In the 1950s an average 5'10 male ate 3300 calories a day and wasn't fat. Calories are a meme

Meditation is already proven to reduce cortisol levels (which helps you sleep easier and keep your weight under control) and stress and anxiety. There's no need to bring up philosophy when the science is quite clear on the matter. The orientals and indians had it right for thousands of years, and only now are the benefits being confirmed and experienced by europeans which is a shame.

Let me save you the time on learning office politics the hard way, since many of us have already worked in this environment, why not try to benefit from other people's experiences? Here's all you need to know: 1) You can't earn more doing the same role. When you want more, change job role or company. Promotions your manager promises you are mostly a scam. It's not non-existant and it's not spurious. For thousands of years indians and chinese have known meditating is good for you. Be thankful you're alive in the age where science is just starting to catch up with it and realise the benefits. Do you think 2000 years ago scientists knew how hypertrophy worked? No they didn't, but greeks continued to wrestle and lift up heavy things because they knew it did, without knowing the mechanisms of why.

I can't squat with my feet flat like he demonstrates in his book though, and this is without using any weights, just standing. I'm 27 so I'm sure I could make a lot of improvement if I started seriously working on my flexibility
/r/TheRedPill07/08/19 01:08 PM

I see. Well clearly my range of motion isn't that good in many areas of my musculature then, because I can't do a deep squat/ass to grass with my feet completely flat that Kelly demonstrates in his book. I've never tried it with a weight, this is just from standing. I'm not likely to either. I've already been practicing yoga to help with my flexibility, and even some of the cross legged postures (lotus, siddhasana) are difficult for me. Time to work on all of that

Look up "Stamets 7" and watch Paul Stamets on Joe Rogan. A probiotic is good too. Ubiquinol (a superior form of CoQ10), PQQ, Acetyl L-Carnitine, and R Alpha lipoic acid, ALL help to increase mitochondrial health, mitochondrial metabolism, and mitochondrial biogenesis. Look at mitochondria if you need more info. Also, don't forget to do fasting. 1 day is fine, but try to do a 5 day fast every now and then. Look up Rhonda Patrick on fasting, and also read Upton Sinclair's book The Fasting Cure.

You are doing better than many people. Take 150 dollars and go bang a whore for an hour. I wouldn't suggest sweeteners really. Stop eating sweet things (sugary or sweetened) and your sweet tooth will disappear. You will find you aren't bothered about sugary stuff any more. Don't eat tons of rice/pasta everyday either. Most carbs I get are from fruit or rice, which is at least gluten free, but I don't eat rice every day either. I love chicken and fish.

This is a very good point and one I link back to spending and managing your money a lot - your time is the most valuable thing you have, and thus your health is inseparably linked to it. "I prefer x" would be a little nicer I don't know. Well the message is different - preferring x over y may not be entirely sufficient if what you're trying to say is really that you don't like y.

Why the hell don't women like Indian or other "ethnic" guys? Seems like an oddly racist way to be. As an average guy I guess I don't get it. How fucking offensive to just come out and say "I don't like indian guys" that's just shitty. Because people are allowed to have preferences? They like what they like, nothing wrong with that.

rationalism is dumb. I think what you meant to say was empiricism. Rationalism is a school of epistemological thought that suggests we can attain knowledge just by thinking about things. The scientific method is empirical, and so is all evidence-based belief

I saw a post about race mixing is terrible and the white women are ruining the European blood and so on. It also mentioned race mixing was "dumbing down" and causing birth defects. True or not, I found these comments a little disturbing. That's ok - we all disagree on some things. You will disagree with many people on this issue and others. They are simply saying what they honestly believe.

He may be Red Pill or not (didn't watch the video) but his field is clearly not a Red Pill area of research. There's no such thing as red pill research. The point of the OP is that much of evolutionary psychology (i.e what remains of our caveman tier animal instincts) seem to be from where TRP knowledge stems, since they seem to align nicely. And it's true, too.

Men are potentially objective and stoic. He was pointing out an issue here. There were many stoics, but he was a stoic himself yes. He was taught privately as a child (as you might expect, since he was a roman emperor), and learned greek, and even wrote his meditations in greek. It was still the language of philosophy then and he appreciated it being a well educated man

I'm quite suspicious of the slow cooker advice. Chicken will go hard in the fridge/freezer once cooked, and you certainly don't ever refrigerate rice or pasta unless you like eating it when it's rock solid and disgusting. I don't honestly see a way of getting around having to do a lot of cooking if you want to enjoy your food.

7 page cv absolute disgusting. 2 pages at max. Also, to the guy above, /u/masterypill, we don't call university teachers here professors, we call them lecturers. A professor here is an actual position which usually involves having a chair on some journal review board. Even then, we don't call anyone Professor, Reader, Emeritus Professor, or whatever. We just call them by their first name which seems pretty normal to me. Also, if you can get into a good UK university, our tuition fees are at most…

Dude couldn't even get elected in the general election When's the last time a 3rd party won the presidency of the USA? There are essentially 2 parties, though UKIP is the 3rd biggest party in the popular vote. And as for what /u/riverraider69 said, Farage never "promised" 350 million for the NHS, he simply made a suggestion that that money could be spent on it. If I say "let's do this", that's not a promise I can make it happen if we leave a political union.

Farage is one of the only open and honest speaking politicians in British politics. Like him or not, he's been wrongly demonised as a racist. He isn't racist, he stands by his principles in arguments, he doesn't weasel his way of out questions. We need more people like him.

Then you're retarded. The low quality bullshit is when fools like you doubt a person's lived experience, which by the way is corroborating existing theory on this subject. As someone who is a research professional I urge you to stop this internet tough guy act of demanding peer reviewed journal articles when we have things like YBOP. Besides, what are you hoping to gain? Do you think a journal will "prove" something? "Proof" only exists in maths. Everything else is theory which can at any point become invalidated by …

Our ideas are sensible, and most men who read them would realize it. Pretty much this. You can watch any teen movie and see trp in action. Tall sexy jocks fuck girls left and right, beta wimps cry about how they can't get laid. Ultimately, trp is simple and most people, if they spent a second thinking about it, would realise they already know some of the more basic points.

"darker the skin, more alpha the man" No, it's not. It's a cultural thing. Back here a few centuries ago, it was seen as attractive to be pale because the aristocrats in society stayed in doors all day learning instruments, languages, and being rich, and the poor people all worked outside all day. Now in the modern days, it's attractive to be tanned because you're seen as someone who always goes on holidays or travels a lot to hot places. England too Don't lump us in with Sweden and Germany. We aren't there just yet. Sweden took in immigrants at the rate of a country with 5x its population.
