Yep. I always felt they dismissed trans people because of misandry. If they reject trans women, then they still ultimately see them as men. And thats why they hate them. Highly debatable but even if it's true, it cuts both ways. Do men need women? I would say no. We're programmed to want them but we don't need them. It will change in the end. My theory is that the more men become 'aware' and the more emotionally developed they are permitted to become, the more they will start to recognise abuse at the hands of women and to push back against toxic patterns and narratives as a collective. This will over time equalise the discussion, and at that point maybe we can solve problems rather than just have one side screaming and the other becoming resentful, as we have now.

I think this is a societal issue rather than a misandristic one, but yes. Violence on screen is to men what sex on screen used to be to women - exploitative and dehumanising.
