Plenty of the things you mentioned are absolutely covered in that podcast, especially the overall harmful nature the PUA community has on men itself. There are no “empowering” pickup guides because that undercurrent of self-esteem issues and the need to put other people down, including men, is a huge part of the bravado of that mindset. It’s a toxic one for myriad reasons. If you’re looking for an “empowering” PUA book, you will never find it. Both of those men are intelligent enough to understa…

There’s a good podcast episode about the book that really made pickup artists famous. The podcast is If Books Could Kill and the episode is titled The Game. It goes into a lot of what you’re saying, because it is really obvious in hindsight if you’re aware of it, that there’s a lot of men just taking advantage of/using/tormenting other men within that community. Good listen, I highly recommend.

Here is a link to an article about actual scientific research showing that women don’t agree on what’s attractive in men, if that helps. Edit: interestingly, the other finding of that study is that men DO tend to agree. So sort of the opposite of your original assumption. Edit 2: Source link for the actual study. Hope I’m doing that right?

There’s at least as much proof of it as there is that men’s tastes are varied. Also proof can be overheard in any conversation that a group of women have about the types of men they find attractive. There’s literally the term “type” as in “not my type” to refer to the fact that people in general have variation in what they prefer.

Women’s taste are at least as varied as men’s, if not more so.

To answer your question straight: No, women do not love the men they’ve had casual sex with more than the men they may have taken longer to become physical with. I’d argue it’s often the other way around. Not using the phrasing “made wait” because that’s not an accurate reflection of what sometimes happens.

I think the best answer for OP, and the correct answer for a lot of these question threads, is truly just “it’s not that deep”.

This was the sort of comment I was looking for and hoping to see reflected. Sometimes women are horny and want to hook up with someone they find attractive. That’s a normal human drive in both women and men. Sometimes women don’t want to hook up right away with men they may have feelings for or see as a potential long term partner. There’s a myriad of reasons for this. Sometimes, because they want the guy to like them back, they wait because they (unfortunately) feel pressured not to come across…

Came here to mention this. My SO uses it, but it’s a clear remnant of his military career. He’s never even been close to RP or anything like that; he just got used to using “male” and “female” as the correct descriptors for work. Now, someone without a military or LE background? Yeah, it sets off some alarm bells.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
