I understand your argument, but I don't agree with the outcome you've extrapolated. Being well adjusted to society takes participating in society, either through participation in the community, participating in the work force, and/or having social interaction at school. Just because there are members of only one sex at a school doesn't mean there is no social interaction, no community service, and no work experience while attending school. It isn't that it is also the purpose of school, its that school time can be co-opted to also teach social skills. From the looks of this article, to the detriment of learning, at least for boys.
