LEADERSHIP Had an event this week that made me realise that I am not a leader. I can act like one and do things that a leader does, but that does not make me a leader. To be a leader you need to see depth to situations, not just take them at face value. You need to listen and understand your first officer. Without doing so you gi…

FINANCES Had enough of living with debt. Mrs is in control. Well, she knows how much goes out every month, after that we have no direction. I've devised a plan, gone through our finances and directed money to certain pots after all outgoings. I've talked the plan over with my wife and told her my plans for the money and how I w…

I view them as a tool to keep my control of a conversation; specifically to not deer. So in that sense I guess I see them as working. Pickup lines are pointless.

I have read it. Loved it. She's really good at breaking things down and her point of view being the right thing. You're right about the NI. It's good to get me to deer. I've started using it on her now when she tests me. It works quite well on her compared to fogging. I think it's more of a right tool for the right situation but NI is working to stifle situations.

Cut back on being so retarded.. women crave time and attention and thrive on feelz. You're not providing any of those things. She said she wants to look good in her bikini. A perfect chance to give her attention.. you tell her you want to see her in a bikini but that it probably wouldn't be on her very long. Tell her that her friends will be jealous when they see her looking smoking hot. Give her some form of attention.. not this sperg answer.. I asked how come you'll be wearing a bikini. Christ…

Don’t concentrate too hard on this, By that I don’t mean don’t try, but instead of running away from what you don’t want to be, make decisions that the person you want to be would make. Out for lunch? What would that jacked dude eat?. It might be easier to keep it fun that way. That is similar to what I've been doing. Does it meet my goals? If yes then I do it. If no then I don't. Thanks again for your words last week.

Had some feedback about being boring. My posts were boring. I've talked about positive mindset before, but fuck me, I've not been positive about the steps I have made. I haven't even mentioned how I've upgraded my wardrobe or anything else I've accomplished. Since my last oys I've realised I'm not looking at my positives and b…

If you're not gaming your wife all all the time she isn't going to be thinking about fucking you is my understanding. It's not about changing her opinion of me, it's about doing what you should be doing.

My wife says I'm an asshole. My point for more affection is I mostly display affection when I want to fuck. I need to be giving her more to get her thinking about fucking throughout the day.

That’s more like it, a bit of fucking passion. Nobody wants to hear mediocre bullshit. Next OYS, you write it like that reply. Don’t wake up Tuesday morning and write it (like I know you did) write it in your notes as things happen, then post it on tues. That's exactly how I wrote it. Copy/paste previous post and change the words. I’ve never had a problem with dressing it’s one thing I’m good at but I read ‘ The appearance of power’ by tanner guzzy, read it, it will help you refine your look. I'…

No where near good enough to dread her yet. Yet. If I don't make the first move she rarely does, and that's just some afffection. Let's see what happens when I'm high enough value to dread.

You got one letter out of OYS here and it was the S, that was the most vanilla shit I’ve ever read. On a whole I am definitely going slow with this. That's not on purpose, looking back over my journey I can see a picture of myself focussing too much on one area and letting others slide. I need to stop this. Hopefully the tasks from the six pillars will help with that. I definitely still have some naivety about how much work I have to do. Manning 101 helped me see that One whole paragraph of your…

I am angry at that. I know I shouldn't, I'm trying to be passive about it. She's just a hypocrite when it comes to it. I've always said she's got one rule for her and another for me. I'm just not taking it anymore. That's where my boundary for respect comes in.

Thanks for your advice, sometimes I do need to lighten up with her, I can have plenty of fun with my kids, but with her she can be tough! What is it that I've said that makes you think I'm angry?

I have made a plan since I have been thinking about this. I have ideas of my ideal mind, body, goals, values and roles. It's still in the early stages but it has made a big difference. I find I just refer to what I want when faced with something that's related to them and I know instantly what I need to do.

This week my main focus was, again; STFU, no deering and more game. STFU/DEER One thing to report on. I understand that, I'm trying to sharpen my skills. Someone else mentioned about being cheesy and I probably am at times, but I've always been a bit cheesy. However, I also have had similar experiences to your example. Getting smoother is a goal though.

You need to build respect, establish your boundaries and enforce them. That's part of my reasoning for stepping back. I'm seeing what I think I want and do actually want. I know my smv/value isn't high enough to enforce everything yet. Sounds painful and cheesy tbh. Maybe, we all gotta start somewhere tho.

Set a harsh standard for yourself that you will not under any circumstance DEER - not only to your wife, but to anyone. You're going to fuck it up a lot. But what will happen is you'll catch it quicker and quicker every time. Then eventually you'll catch it before you open your mouth. Then you won't even think about it at all. That's a good tip, thanks. The simplest way is to stop talking. You have no obligation to continue any discussion with your wife. I have read that posts several times befo…

That was probably the wrong phrase I used, I mean for us to get over the situation. I understand I can't change her mind but I know there are better ways at handling the situation than I am. With practice I should be able to keep going that step further. That last part is not a typo. In my last oys I stated how I wasn't owning my shit enough, but my wife is a fucking monster at owning her shit. I'm not letting her lead me, I'm being an observant student.

I can see how that would logically play out, buy my smv isn't that higher yet. I know my Mrs would be quick to fall out and give me the silent treatment. She's just gonna have to learn that doesn't bother me any more. Also I'm not that witty that quickly, defo something I need to work on, then hopefully with my increased smv it'll be over before it's started!

That's a good point, I need to stop thinking black and white and start being a bit more fun! Thanks for the advice! Although, let's say I went with the not looking at my messages line, I would still have to deal with the fact I am saying no to her wants at some point. How would you deal with that sort of scenario?

So the correct answer would of just been no? I understand the importance of not having to explain, but a straight up no just sounds dickish to me. Maybe I'm just still too soft.

My lifts are only low because I've never lifted before and I started from an empty bar and literally just practised form. I've been more concerned about form than actual weight to begin with. I'm not saying I couldn't lift heavier at the minute either, but it's just where I got to then injury has struck. 3 this year, none from lifting. Sucks man.

Why is it that she gave it no thought to simply unplug you without a qualm, but you went through a song and dance routine to tell her you were there charging first etc? You need to get to the point where you DGAF about her charging status the way she feels about yours. You have to put your needs first, she is not special. Fantastic point, I'll remember this next time. Thanks

It is something I do have in my goals, to be 34 (currently 35) inches around my belly. I will be assessing my body fat situation once I can pick up running again, currently it's just not an issue as I haven't gained any fat in 3 months. I know my lifts are weak, we all gotta start somewhere, just need to take it week by week and avoid any more injuries. Thanks for the reply.

You've misunderstood me, but is not your fault. Right now I'm fine with my body fat from looks and don't need to worry about it. At the minute I am only focussing on my calories, my macros and my strength improving. I am slim, could do with an inch off the belly if I am being picky, but that's not a top priority right now. As my calories increase I will be continuing to keep an eye on my belly circumference to see what it is doing and I will be taking it as it comes.
