That's honestly a pretty small if. In fact that person would be me if I wasn't disabled and physically can't give up driving a car I don't own thanks to said disability. I used to drive to work but occasionally ride my bike. Seeing this sort of thing would totally remind me to ride my bike more.

Climate change is already detrimental to people's lives, a protest is just an example your monkey brain is better at being mad about. Huge hurricanes, extended droughts, rising oceans, bleached coral, wild fires, destabilized weather patterns, shifting ecologies, etc. These are all things happening now whose severity and frequency are increasing thanks to climate change. I often joke that's the answer but of course no ordinary human sees that as viable solution. In fact, most want to find climate change so that they and others can enjoy a healthy and stable Earth, and killing themselves would obviously not allow for that. You try to minimize your impact as best you can, as well as try to minimize the impact that others have though legislation. I don't think anyone is willing to do that, so you try to minimize as much of your impact (and the impact of others) as you can. I joke all the time that suicide is the answer but of course if people didn't care about being alive then they certainly wouldn't care about the quality of their life as climate change makes it more difficult.

Everyone is part of the problem. China makes your stuff, that's why they pollute so much. On a per capita basis there's loads of places worse than China. In fact on a per capita basis Americans are about twice as bad as the Chinese when it comes to CO2 emissions. People have been bitching about China. Honestly no probably not. I would probably be interested in what the protesters were on about. Then I would just patiently wait or try to turn around. I fight for the little guy, even when it means I might be inconvenienced. Edit: in fact, being in a car and seeing the protest was about climate change I would be reminded that I'm part of the problem and support them even more.
