I was watching LIVE PD last night and a woman called the Police because she and her boyfriend had a fight and she said he assaulted her. She told the Police he'd put his hands around her neck, but upon inspection the police found no marks. The Police caught up with the boyfriend and he turns out to have been the one assaulted, with obvious bruises and scratches. She finally admitted to being the aggressor and was arrested.

It turns out I actually made out better than my ex after my divorce. Even retired at 55 years old. But the feeling of having my life back, not worrying everyday if we were going bankrupt because of her out of control spending, her constant me me me attitude...ahh, the peace is wonderful.

I had a '99 Ford F-150 4X4 for 14 years. Had 188,000 miles before I decided the rust and repairs cost too much. Damn I miss that truck.

This reminds me of a Keanu Reeves quote: "Someone told me the other day that he felt bad for single people because they are lonely all the time. I told him that's not true. I'm single and I don't feel lonely. I take myself out to eat, I buy myself clothes. I have great times by myself. Once you know how to take care of yourself company becomes an option and not a necessity." This hangs on my frig.

Haha...this happens to me all the time when commenting in liberal subreddits. And I don't get any upvotes.

Yeah, two lifetime commitments are enough. What a tool.

I'm a boomer. Fourth child of eight siblings. Had to work for everything I've ever had. Married and raised my kids in the 80's in a home we bought. Bought my first PC with internet in 1991 and encouraged my kids to learn it. NO CABLE TV. My three kids have a great work ethic and all own their own homes. So I don't know about other boomers, but none of these derogatory comments are relevant to me.

No kidding! I've recently been subjected to a Direct TV commercial where the GF is throwing her ex-BF's stuff out the window. Doesn't endear me to wanting to subscribe to Direct TV.

St. Paul, in the NT, says it's actually better not to marry so you can be single minded to God.

Great! Stress is gone. No worries about her spending 3 dollars for every one I made. Peaceful. No more compromises.

Have her assigned to former President Bill Clinton. They both deserve each other.

Well, I'll tell you. I was married for 22 years before my wife decided I didn't make enough money for her to spend. Still, we had three children that are now grown and have their own children. I was able to retire when I was 55 years old because I was single and the frugal one. Now, I have six wonderful grand-children that are a daily joy in my life.

Having a regular Thanksgiving dinner with my three grown kids and my six grandchildren. This will be Friday however, as being divorced and kids with in-laws doesn't mean you always celebrate on the actual holiday.

Actually, this is the good part. We divorced just before the housing market bubble burst. I was paying attention. We owed $270K on the house, but it was valued at $620K. I knew that was way high, so taking advantage of her greed I told her if she refinanced and gave me $125K the house was hers. I got her to sign off my pension in the divorce. She's now remarried, so she doesn't get any of my Social Security. She recently sold the house and only broke even. She ran up her credit card debt to $80K…

I've never seen a person change so thoroughly as my ex-wife. She became totally self-centered and selfish. She charged up two credit cards to $20K each, just as my first son was about to go to college. And that was the third time in our marriage she almost brought us to bankruptcy. She didn't care about anyone but herself, not me, not our five children.

62 years old here. Divorced 10 years ago after a 22 year marriage. Never been with a hooker, though my ex cost me a fortune.

He's a "traditional" man? He left Jennifer Aniston, saying he never thought marriage would be forever. Now he's crying because he was not the one who ended his second marriage? Give me a break.

True, it's part of the deal. But don't think you'll ever get to discipline them. Or if you don't think the kids should do something you feel is harmful, their mother has the last say. I lived it.

You're not an American are you? If so, you can leave this great country anytime you want. I've met "smart" guys like you before. Everyone's wrong and you're right. Delusional is what it is. I certainly hope you don't have kids.

Soldiers are at war and most people shot by cops were resisting arrest. If you don't see the difference you're a Democrat.

I'm a divorced man of 10 years. Was married for 22 years. I tried dating a woman after my divorce, but it didn't take long before she was making demands. I've had it with a life I can't live like I want. No more women means freedom to do what I want, when I want to. I don't answer to anyone and I don't miss the sex for one minute.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
