Damn, glad your on the right path now. I had the other problem, recovered from a eating disorder. Its normal to progress slow on some lifts and not others depending on your body structure. Just keep going at it, keep working on technique, can also be improved and overhead press helped me too. You will most likely have to wait until you have finished cutting to make real progress on it, push movements are more impacted by calorie deficits. Just watch because depression plus big deficits can crash…

That is very low, I wouldn't expect big strength gains on that, I cut on around 1800. Maybe slowing the diet down is best, how much weight have you been losing a week. I did a hardcore deficit once and I crashed pretty bad. Either that or slow the progression with smaller weights like I said. When I started I was cutting and gained strength real quick, but then it gets to a point when you need extra calories. Be careful of your hormones/test levels too at that range.

Body is most likely adjusted to it then by now, I managed to maintain strength on keto and improve some lifts. Have you got a sensible program with a good progression? When I had some trouble with bench I used some microplates for a while, 0.5kg ones helped me push through my plateau. Congrats on the loss though, that's great!

Seen a few attempts at gatekeeping today (not you I agree with your points).
