My question is why are you so worried about the Financials being exposed?
/r/Divorce_Men01/08/26 11:01 AM

Well that sounds like she did you a favor. I guess I should have prefaced that by saying gross hoes aside. No good woman/mother would do that.

Never divorce within the first 2 years of having a new baby. You'll regret it later. Your wife needs time to heal and learn her new normal and so do you.

Get on birth control. Do not have a child with someone who says he doesn't want to care for them you will end up doing it all yourself
/r/Divorce_Men28/07/26 02:22 AM

Well inheritance is not typically marital property so your lawyer screwed you
/r/Divorce_Men27/07/26 01:12 PM

You bought things with money earned during the marriage with marital funds. Try again lol
/r/Divorce_Men27/07/26 01:05 PM

"Your" resources? You mean the resources you jointly acquired during the marriage? Sorry to break it to you but half of it was hers. What she got belonged to her and she earned it. It's so funny when people think everything belongs to then when they are married only to find out it wasn't yours all along you were just trying to claim it.

That's definitely a lie
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/26 11:05 PM

Probably because you never listened to what she needed from the marriage and failed to provide it. She met your needs but you never tried to meet hers
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/26 11:05 PM

I wasn't referring to situations where there was cheating but where the divorce "came out of nowhere" yes of course you're all victims 🤣
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/26 11:04 PM
-3

Probably because of how you treated your wife. It's often those that refuse to self reflect and take accountability that wonder why they are divorced and repeat the same terrible patterns until their lonely deaths
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/26 10:39 PM

Ask yourself what is different about you than those men. Did you treat your wife poorly? Were you dismissive? Disrespectful? Did you try to micromanage her? Did you show her appreciation? Were you thoughtful, kind, loving? If you failed at any of these there is your answer.

Not the hardest time. My stbx is about to have twin infants, a 2 year old and an 8 year old.

What you're probably experiencing is her reset back to her normal. When people are in bad relationships it brings out the worst in them and her nervous system was probably f'd up while you were together. Now that there's distance between you she's gotten back to herself and everything doesn't trigger her cause she doesn't care anymore. Especially if you have children she is likely trying to make the best if an unfortunate situation for the kids
/r/Divorce_Men17/07/26 11:22 AM

That is not true for every woman. Good women want their children to have a good experience and equal time with both parents. You are stating from a place of misogyny
/r/Divorce_Men17/07/26 11:11 AM

While I agree with women not caring about money most also would 1000 percent choose a guy who wasn't in great shape but has a heart of gold and treats her well and is present. Women want to be loved, appreciated and given mutual respect. Most nothing else matters as long as you prioritize her.

Gonna have a hard time. A lot of women aren't dating anymore
/r/Divorce_Men14/07/26 08:19 PM

Maybe some context would help understand what went wrong there
/r/Divorce_Men14/07/26 08:15 PM

Bet you'd get the same from women that have been married 2 years or more

Accountability is a woman's love language as lomg as its followed by a genuine attempt to not repeat the behavior
/r/Divorce_Men12/07/26 11:48 PM

That used to be the case with women but I promise you it's not anymore

This I'd funny I read her post in a different group. Buddy you are not getting what you want period you might as well give up on that idea. There is no chance a judge will ever order that

It's not free extra cash when it's used for the children. It's used to meet the needs of the children
/r/Divorce_Men20/06/26 10:44 PM

Child support is the difference between her income and yours to care for your children. Trust me she is not getting rich off of your child support. She is using the child support to give your child the life they'd have if your two incomes were combined
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/26 06:44 PM
-11

Child support is set by the court to meet the needs of the child. Your ex isn't getting rich off of your child support
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/26 04:01 PM
1

I didn't say anything about your specific ex. I am just being straight with you man. It is common practice now to vet men by contacting their exes. Either the ex or the tea app. Women are no longer just taking chances, we've all been burned too many times. Now whether or not each individual woman chooses to believe your ex is a different story. Hopefully you would not be choosing a woman who would think the ex you described would be a credible source and if she did then wouldn't that be red flag…

As long as you have money. If you don't it won't last long
/r/Divorce_Men12/06/26 05:17 PM

The key here is the money
/r/Divorce_Men12/06/26 05:16 PM

Depends. Do you have money? Or look like you do?

Don't listen to that guy he has no idea what he's talking about. Most women are not that stupid
/r/Divorce_Men11/06/26 07:11 PM
-4

Nah as a woman its true. Women are tired of men's lies and are banding together to help each other out. Its become common practice now to vet men before dates, sex or relationships. We're tired of wasting our time on shifty ungrateful men so we are helping each other out.
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 06:02 PM

Yes and that's seen as financial abuse in the courts eyes. It's illegal
/r/Divorce_Men01/06/26 12:51 AM

She's happy cause you're bad attitude isn't weighing her down. Not all women are after money and status. Some just want to be loved right.
/r/Divorce_Men12/05/26 09:17 AM

It really does especially when you are the only one doing anything. I will say he loves our kids and when he wants to be he is a good dad so at least I didn't fuck up too bad there.

Well I guess that was my problem didn't marry a normal man
/r/Divorce_Men06/05/26 11:08 AM

Most men do not do all of that. You are a unicorn. I would have been lucky if mine emptied the dishwasher once every few weeks and he'd let the lawn go so long I'd have code enforcement at my door giving me notices. Couldn't cook and the one time he tried he set our kitchen on fire and sent me the video of black smoke pouring out of the sliding glass door while I was at work. I get the same stories from basically every woman I know except for maybe 2. Every single time mine did something id than…

Wow that's low down and dirty
/r/Divorce_Men02/05/26 08:00 AM

Wow she really should have put that in the divorce agreement
/r/Divorce_Men02/05/26 07:58 AM

That is your fault. If you had repaired and not done those things she wouldn't resent you. I do not see how men don't understand this
/r/Divorce_Men30/04/26 08:06 PM
-1

The amount of men in here saying this is hilarious. You all should do some research. Women are leaving their husbands in droves right now in favor of their own happiness. They aren't looking for other men. They don't want to be 50/50 bang maids anymore.
/r/Divorce_Men30/04/26 02:17 PM

False 2026 is the movement of women away from men
/r/Divorce_Men30/04/26 02:14 PM
-9

As a woman in 2026 I can confidently say you are wrong. There is a whole movement of women who are just completely done with men. Women no longer are willing to overfunction as 50/50 bang maids for ungrateful men. Recent studies show that less than 30 percent of women want marriage and less than 65 percent want children
/r/Divorce_Men30/04/26 02:12 PM

No woman would agree to that

Not stolen because she was entitled to it, but had you played fair in good faith the first go round you wouldn't have put yourself in that position and now the court sees your dodgy tactics and the judge will always have bias
/r/Divorce_Men16/04/26 03:09 AM
8

Don't take any of this advice or you will end up paying 10xs what you would have because the court will see you are using them to abuse her and they will punish you for it handsomely awarding her far more than her fair share. Seen it done to the point it bankrupted the husbands
/r/Divorce_Men16/04/26 03:06 AM
-9

You mean marital funds that she's entitled to? Oh no God forbid
/r/Divorce_Men19/03/26 05:58 PM

The only thing she wouldn't be able to touch was your disability or inheritance
/r/Divorce_Men26/02/26 11:28 PM

I guess that would depend on how much your disability was
/r/Divorce_Men26/02/26 11:27 PM

Every dollar you earn whether you're moving it or not is half hers until you file. The records are already there so I'm not sure what you think you are going to get away with but you're not getting away with anything. If she's smart she'll have a forensic account involved
/r/Divorce_Men26/02/26 10:12 PM

Thank you for this I will be doing this in the future
/r/Divorce_Men21/02/26 11:57 PM

I deal with this with my stbx. Keep recording, leave the room and go to a room where you can lock the door and put headphones in
/r/Divorce_Men21/02/26 11:55 PM

How long were you married? Is the house in both of your names or just hers?
/r/Divorce_Men21/02/26 09:32 AM

Yes and she can have you audited and taken to court
/r/Divorce_Men20/02/26 12:56 AM

She's entitled to half of it
/r/Divorce_Men20/02/26 12:56 AM

Just tell them. They can be a support system for you. Nothing is going to change so you might as well rip the bandaid off

You cannot legally "lock down" the finances until after you file

Nah man if you want free time get a babysitter
/r/Divorce_Men29/01/26 03:02 AM

We're you paying on the mortgage after marriage? If so she is entitled to half of the equity
/r/Divorce_Men09/01/26 08:30 PM

Sounds like you've figured out you're homosexual. No wonder the marriage failed
/r/Divorce_Men09/01/26 06:44 PM
3

I would never agree to this
/r/Divorce_Men08/01/26 08:04 PM
7

I say rip it but do it in a different room the first several times if you can so that she can hear but isn't trapped in the room with your stank, it's polite
/r/Divorce_Men27/10/25 01:27 PM

What makes you think she wants another husband or lomg term partner? I think at that age women are done waiting on a man hand and foot like he's another child. They are happy single and mingling for good and just focusing on themselves and their kids
/r/Divorce_Men13/08/25 09:48 PM
6

Yes do it and have him pay for your legal fees
/r/Divorce_Men18/07/25 08:56 PM
4

You would have stayed with someone who willingly abandoned their children? I think you'll think differently about that eventually. No sane mother willingly abandons her children for life
/r/Divorce_Men16/07/25 12:06 PM
3

You obviously have zero idea how much child care costs. We are saving 4500 a month on child care
/r/Divorce_Men15/07/25 05:40 PM

If she has a good lawyer they will find and prove any money he has taken or tried to hide and he can be charged for lying under oath

You cannot trust any men on those sites I guarantee you they are going to put looking for ltr or marriage just to tell you what you want to hear. I have had so many friends reeled in by it and the dude gets what he wants and dips

I disagree that there is no coming back from this. If your spouse recognizes it and works to correct it and actively repair the relationship I think it's absolutely possible. I have found myself in this exact position and it took recognizing it to reshape my thought process once consistent changes were apparent over time. It does take time to come back from but it is possible. It takes forgiveness and truly letting go of the past hurts and feelings of betrayal and abandonment which is a difficul…
