We already know the situation. She got drunk, fucked around on her boyfriend, got caught and is now calling it rape.

Why do you associate with a tumblr feminist?

He doesn't even qualify as a white knight, he's a legitimate psychopath, if this is the same guy that has had a history of attempted murder and bragging about being party to paternity fraud.

WBC members try to provoke people into assaulting them so they can sue them for profit. Gawker media hires morons or shills to write ill informed and intentionally inflammatory bullshit to generate controversy and thus, page hits, and profit. They are not a real news site, just like WBC is not a serious religious group.

No, you fucking jackass. Gawker is banned for the same reason that you don't punch out a member of Westboro Baptist Church. They hire people to spew stupid, reactionary bullshit to get pageviews to make money. They are not a serious news source.

Gawker media is as legitimate as Westboro Baptist Church.

Yeah, they show off calves real nice, but they're breezy and offer less protection.

Honestly, on the "why do men not wear women's clothes", a large part of that is because they are just often less protective / less convenient or comfortable to wear, so even if there wasn't the stigma about it, they wouldn't catch on. Note how not many men choose to wear kilts on the regular.

The whole "SLUT SHAMING IS BAD I CAN HAVE SEX ON LIVE TV BUT YOU HAVE TO RESPECT ME FOR IT" has gone TOO FUCKING FAR. I will not judge you on factors that are out of your control. But your ACTIONS, your CHOICES ARE PERFECTLY VALID ITEMS TO BASE MY OPINION OF YOU UPON. AND FUCKING AROUND WILLY NILLY IS NOT A POSITIVE CHARACTER TRAIT, in EITHER GENDER. And it has never been considered as such.

Pursuing justice is fine and all, but just because absurd things have been done to the law such as allowing "hate speech" to be treated as a criminal offense, does not mean we should utilize them.

It's trash talk. It's part of the game. Mute the overly stupid players and move the fuck on. Nobody is saying twelve year olds screaming is a good thing, we just don't want invasive bullshit and care even less about whining would be social engineers screaming and whining about fucking nothing.

"Are you ready to cheat - VOMIT UNCONTROLLABLY Goddamn. Cheating should never even be promoted as an option. That's not just "harming the relationship". That's some seriously nasty shit to do to a person. That's fucking sick. I swear, the more time I spend aware of "social politics", the more misanthropic I get.

The conservative right doesn't want to take away your reproductive rights. They don't want to fork over their dough to pay for birth control or abortions (see planned parenthood) and some of them find abortions pretty damn skeevy (see partial-birth abortions, which are most certainly murder). "Slut shaming" is a non-issue. People are not entitled to the respect of others. You are free to engage in whatever sexual behavior you want, but nobody is required to pat you on the back for it.

Unfortunately, Obama does not have a track record of hiring people based on their capabilities. See Susan Rice and Attorney General Eric Holder. Although now that he's got the seat for his last four years unless he plans to try to repeal the law that states a president can only serve two terms, he probably won't give THAT much of a shit about feminists.

Nope. Getting kicked in the nuts hurts like hell, but I wouldn't say it's any more "degrading" than being hit anywhere else. Also, I really don't think this subreddit is an appropriate place to post screencaps from 4chan, of all places.

That's bullshit. It's not fucked up, you took the wrong conclusion from all of that. People are responsible for their own actions including ones taken while under the influence of something they chose to consume. You were not raped, and neither were any women who claim that by having sex while intoxicated that they were raped. That's not rape. That trivializes rape.

Ok, look folks, you can't always focus on the "men couldn't get away with it so women shouldn't" angle. If the dude is spreading STDs he doesn't get any sympathy from me, even if the woman should also take some responsibility for having unsafe sex.

It is used as an emotional talking point; shorthand for "MEN ARE ALL KEEPING THE WOMAN DOWN". Just like many other common feminist arguments, it has no real substance.

gender gen·der1 [jen-der] Show IPA noun Grammar . a. (in many languages) a set of classes that together include all nouns, membership in a particular class being shown by the form of the noun itself or by the form or choice of words that modify, replace, or otherwise refer to the noun, as, in English, the choice of he to replace the man, of she to replace the woman, of it to replace the table, of it or she to replace the ship. Yeah I think at that point she should have called the cops. Following her out to the parking lot and blocking her access to her car could probably qualify as a nonverbal threat.

The sex and gender separation is still new and widely unsupported, because the words were and are synonyms. Femininity and masculinity can be considered social constructs, but gender is not one. Furthermore one definition used for medical classification does not mean something can't be considered a mental illness. Would you say that schizophrenia isn't a mental illness if the afflicted can actually deal with it? Guess who can't do more than post quotes?

Should health insurance companies have to cover therapy anyway? In my opinion, they shouldn't. But since this has become about whether or not they should get that surgery, I think they can pursue whatever bodily modifications they want with their own money, although if one of my friends had that issue I would advise therapy before severe bodily mutilation. If it was possible to give someone a real sex change, I'd be less opposed to it, but as it is, sex changes are hack-jobs. Either way it is no…

It is a mental illness. They have a "feeling" that they were born with the wrong genitals. It's delusion. They should pursue therapy if that issue is causing problems with their daily life. And getting a sex change is more akin to asking a doctor to cut off your arm for you because you want a prosthetic, but it was a pretty decent analogy. And you repeat my points while calling names. That is not how you win an argument, that is how you look like a child. The fact that people this incapable of d…

It's not a comparison of the two, it's that those are two good examples of why "social justice" is ridiculous. And trans people are perfectly free to do whatever they want, but their demand that everyone change to suit them IS crazy.

It's not psychological treatment. Psychological treatment would be therapy. That's like saying plastic surgery is psychological treatment for a narcissist.

Because "social justice" is a ridiculous term for crazy people demanding their special interest groups be given special privileges. I am never going to endorse any claim that sex-change operations are medically necessary or health insurance companies being forced to cover them. Nor will I ever endorse forcing new gender pronouns or recognizing people who want to run around in fursuits barking all day as anything but in need of therapy. Because these things are ridiculous.

Sounds fair to me. But the Benghazi case is more direct, because he knew what was going on as it was happening, and instead of sending any of the many large forces we had within range, he said "naw fuck it these guys are holed up in a building getting mortared, but they'll be fine, I don't give a shit, do nothing" and fucked off to Vegas. If you'll look into what really happened on September 11th, 2012, with the Benghazi attacks, they were foreseen, warned of on the day, and news was sent within the hour, and the attacks went on for nine hours. Welding. As a general thing over regulation is pushing entry level and intermediate trade jobs out of the country, but in my specialization, pipe, the best way to make money is to sign up with an oil company, and despite constantly claiming they're for energy independence, certain factions of the democratic party will do anything they can to stop people from drilling in the states. Hell, they even want to sign the Laws of Sea treaty, which would kick offshore oil drilling right in the nuts by al…

I've got nothing to my name and the industry I'm training to be in is being consistently pushed out of country by over regulation. Don't assume that all "poor" would rather suckle on the government teat than let business do business. And in this movement you will find more people of a libertarian bent than not, because this movement recognizes and criticizes the government for making life worse for people.

If she starts leaving things there in bulk, she'll show up one day with a bunch of bags and tell you she canceled the lease on her apartment. At which point the most prudent course of action is to slam the door, get a camera and possibly call the police.

There is precedent for government action utterly failing to stimulate the economy. For example, the great depression ended due to the U.S. selling boatloads of equipment to both sides in WW2, after years of the government attempting to stimulate the economy that produced very little result.

I'd sum it up best as this, taken from wikipedia: "William F. Buckley Jr., in the first issue of his magazine National Review in 1955, defined the beliefs of American conservatives:[7] Among our convictions: It is the job of centralized government (in peacetime) to protect its citizens’ lives, liberty and property. All other activities of government tend to diminish freedom and hamper progress." So yes, I would say conservatism does not deal with gender roles. There is a tendency to mix up the t…

No, I wouldn't. That's something a portion of the G.O.P. does, and that does not reflect on conservatism as a whole. The republican party has conservative supporters and some conservative elements, but enforcing old gender roles is not part of conservatism.

If I was driving a vehicle and someone attacked me while I was doing it, I would hit them as hard as I could. And if they DID get up I'd hit them again. There's a time and a place for "minimum force" and a time and a place for "limiting danger to yourself and others".

"American Taliban?" Look fucker. A tea party rally came through my town once. They cleaned up their mess, and didn't harass me when I went by. An Occupy rally was near where I worked, and they trashed the fucking place and were generally belligerent. And I wouldn't call the occupying twats Taliban either. Just because someone has radically different political opinions, that judging by how much power they currently wield a hell of a lot of people agree with, doesn't mean they're evil.

Check the divorce rates. It is over 50%. Therefore, the majority, and the norm. So yeah, for the majority of marriages, it is a foregone conclusion.

Here's why I will never accept a woman's proposal: it's greed. Marriage is an institution for the protection and care of women. A man takes on responsibility for the woman when he marries her. That's why he proposes. A woman proposing to me is the same as having her friends tell me to "man up and marry her already". She's trying to pressure me into giving her my life. However, upon consideration, this is a little unfair. If the woman was better off than the man and was actually the partner that …
