1	Why do people stuck in the rat race look down on a MGTOW who has plenty of FU money, takes a few months break from employment, and chills on a bench in the morning at 10 AM smoking a cigar while everyone else goes to work? There are a couple of dynamics at work here. The first is that when humans put an effort or resource into building something, their belief that the outcome is worthy of the investment becomes intractable. Even to believe that everyone else should value that investment at the same level. So when any new way of thinking seems to devalue their personal investment, then that is a threat.
