| 1 | Why is "It's my body" a good argument when it comes to abortion, but not to circumcision?We are alright with killing a pig instead of a person because the person is sentient. While the fetus is, indeed, alive, it is not yet a protected person because it is not sentient. It would be like killing a liver which is alive. Fetuses are property until they gain sentience. Then they're protected because they become actual people, not just flesh. Not that I support abortion.
