Bad advice. We can all decide what we do and humans make time for what’s important. Not choosing a healthy response and going the “easy” route with pharmaceuticals is not improving the situation and just kicking the can down the road. Let’s be honest, even if it’s hard to hear.

Doesn’t take “damaging” evidence. It’s a single Judge deciding and they each have their own subjective perspective. Some are “old school” or biased in favor of females and always give the mom custody, more recently there are a few that see 50/50 the best for kids. Studies are showing that 50/50 is the best but it’s hard to change that with the old guard or activist/“progressive” judges.

Well, you're father's advice either wasn't taken by you or hasn't worked out so far. And Counselors are a grab bag. Never know what you're going to get, and they get paid anyway. Dating is suppose to be fun, not just to find a mate. It also helps you with "the one". My perspective is more than age or my experience. Because of the type of work I do, I've closely interacted with a great number of men over time, who have shared their relationship experiences. The guys I mentioned weren't single for…

You're asking for advice (and you need it), but are resistant and are coming across very defensive. Never said let the world jade you, but only "buyer beware", and that in the end everyone looks out for themselves first. You can disagree with this but that doesn't make it less true. It took me a long time to understand that and it sounds like you'll have to see this for yourself rather than listen to those of us who have been there, done that. I would still say you didn't really know your ex-wif…

not sure what "I don't date for fun" means. you should be dating as often as possible to find the person you're looking for. you might not match with someone you date but you don't know and it could open up doors for you that you're not aware of. As for the advice you didn't agree with, again it was sound advice from someone who's been around the block more than you (are you an expert now?). I've also lived enough life and relationships to tell you what he said has value: Don't rush into anythin…

I guess it depends on where you live, size of town, etc, but don't believe it will be a dealbreaker for most. The older you date on your age range the less of an issue it will be.

This is the best answer and really the only one you need.

You'll find someone who doesn't care. Those who do will mostly fall into two groups: immature women (i can expand if needed) or those who want all the "firsts" to be shared (some of these are in the first group too). There are many great women who will be fine with it and as another person mentioned some the upper age group of women your looking at are husband shopping.

Actually, everything considered these days his advice is pretty spot on. Just curious, what did you find "off" on what he advised?

Yeah, you don't want share you're divorced maybe on the first date, but it's a really bad idea to hide it from her. Better to disclose it fairly early, before feelings are caught on either part or it's going to suck big time if you really like her and it turns out to be a dealbreaker for her.

While there will be some women in the age range you mentioned that might have an issue with you being previously married, there will be plenty of women who will have no issue with it. You'll be just fine.

Been through a divorce with school aged kids, and learned that when married I had influence 100% on how the kids are raised and what they are exposed to. After the divorce, I had 0% influence on what was going on during my ex-wife's time. If you divorce, you'll find that differing parenting styles become obvious very quickly. This had a long term, cumulative effect on the kids lives in a way that I wouldn't call positive. If your spouse is a bad parent now, at least you're there to buffer and pi…

Adam Weishaupt said, "It's up to us. No one is coming to help us. If we don't make the effort, no one else will". For some, remembering this awakens a drive for self-preservation knowing that no one is coming and that we need to self rescue.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
