All the articles are saying .25%. Which is statistically negligible. The only place where they messed up was 1. saying they used this algorithim in hiring that was quantitative and 2. the CEO admitting she hired the person because of her gender. They could have easily won if that wasn't the case. It's always tricky because rape (especially if the parties have had consensual sex before) is difficult to prove. It's a crime where little evidence is left behind / can be explained away as consensual. I am always in the side that justice should be never punish the innocent. Mostly because it is an inaccurate assessment. For every case of a false or real accusation that destroys a mans life there is a case where no one listens to a false or real accusation. Purposefully trying to flip the power dynamic which he already admits is reversed especially in light of any scientific statistics isn't equality it is chauvinism. The entire point of having empathy is the willingness to understand those who are different from you. Saying empathy is for those who deserve it, people have to earn your pity, etc. That is pretty assholeish. Thinking that people who are conned purposefully are the ones who deserve it, again pretty assholeish. You have the prerogative to be whoever you want to be.
