Yes, absolutely. Your son is a part of you, you carry his greatness and ensure it lives on.

I don't give you permission to quit. You owe everyone at the cost of your own sanity and happiness. Have fun.

Do you hang your hat on stupid shit? You know guys that brag? It's really noticable when they brag about dumb shit... that's ego. They find out you know about some subject or another and they've been there, done it better, etc. Ego. Don't be that guy. You don't need people to reassure you of your decisions, these people do. They're weak. "Back in '82, I could throw a pig skin over them mountains."

Yes. Read all of Hemingway. Recommend starting with A Farewell to Arms. Feelings are real, and they're okay. They're trying to tell you something. Use this as your motivation to get your shit together for your own satisfaction.

Funny, I've thought about all of this stuff in relation to land nav myself. If true North is the bearing set by society, declination to magnetic North is self actualization. That's the adjustment, stay the course. When you find someone else on that course (i.e. following their own rules) it's plainly obvious.

Look into it man, helps you gain perspective. Only you can put a smile on your face. I've gone down some strange paths, my wife doesn't understand. But, I'm truly happy, she's happy, nobody cares. Fun stuff can lead to some interesting places.

Any recreational reading, meditation, drawing, playing music? I'm finding that creative outlet is something that has helped me personally. I'm seeking the correct balance, but for me, different activities cure different anxieties.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
