You're a well-spoken young man. I enjoyed the thoughts you shared.

If you're saying that age is an inadequate test in these cases then I support your arguement.

I'd have a slight correction. The first is the tendency I have observed, of women to think anything being discussed is about them personally. I like that better because it acknowledges the possible solipsism that one has and may be blind to oneself. Besides that, not really insightful.

You might want to consider a crosspost to /r/againstatheismplus as subject matter relating to "the bearded taint" (Myers) is apropos there.

Haha. I'm close to making the same safe assumption about your advice.

I was physically ill after reading the letter she sent. "The desire to justify our actions is truly our own. Just as the desire to escape the consequences of those actions are soley ours. While all the ways of accomplishing this must affect others, this desire ironically remains; selfish." Edit: Punctuation

One of my best friends was told by his partner that she was pregnant last year. They had a lot of sober discussions about what to do. They mutually, or so he thought, came to an agreement to raise the child together. Everything was going well, my buddy was elated since being a father is something he's always wanted to do, until he gets an email from her saying, and I'm accurately paraphrasing, "I've returned the soul we invoked back to the universe". That was her way of saying that she'd had an …

I have to agree. Our ideals and concepts of fairness are unable to trump the biological reality.

Why doesn't it make sense when it's perfectly true? Are you arguing against the unfairness of biology? That we can't claim reproductive rights after the fact is a reality of how the whole process works, just as it does in nature. Yeah it sucks, that as thinking animals we can see the imbalance. It doesn't change the fact or make it any less true. I realized that's why I as man, need to take control of and responsibilty for my orgasm.

Wow! Alright, I'm new here so excuse me for marvelling that this post had no comments prior to this one and that it didn't receive more orange arrows. This is the exactly kind of thing I had hoped to find here. Thank you OP for the salient and germaine post.

All quite true. "With great power 'comes' great responsibility".
