Being objectified isn't going to make anyone feel good. Women are objectified by being seen and appreciated for their looks alone. Men are objectified by seen and appreciated for their bank accounts alone. In dating, being liked for one's looks will always be overall a positive thing regardless occasional downsides.

There's nothing about it that says "you are wanted for something that is intrinsically you." Yes there is, your physically appearance. And I'm not saying that it doesn't feel hollow and objectifying when taken to the extremes. But in romantic relationships, physical attraction is important. But at least as woman in dating apps, you are wanted for something that is intrinsically you. For a man in the strip club, that’s not something he can say to himself because he’s only wanted for what he can materially provide. The former is still magnitudes better than the latter.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
