Love it. Only pieces of advice I'd give is to land the job before you leave your current one, and be persistent in your search. Keep applying to places and eventually you will get a job, no matter how many times you have to walk into a new restaurant and shake a managers hand. Check out indeed.com for openings, but instead of applying online like everyone else, go in person and ask to speak with a manager. Then just lay it on the line and tell them what you're looking for.

Whatever you do, don't quit. You'll be worse off serving. But if this approach for building social skills makes sense to you, sign up to be an Uber driver and work on the weekends. I've driven over 1000 trips, which equals A LOT of practice socializing. And in my humble opinion, there is nothing inappropriate about genuinely and vulnerably asking a girl out as you drop her off. Had some success with this recently.

I’m glad to hear it! Remember, finding a job is like meeting women. It’s a game of numbers. You won’t vibe with every manager you shake hands with. It might take going into 10 or 20 restaurants before you find a place where you’d be a perfect fit. Don’t settle for a job where the culture seems overly negative. And I strongly support you finishing high school, you won’t regret it

Atta boy, make sure you attend class when you go back to school. Just the simple act of attending is empowering and opens up opportunities for relationships. I think a sense of purpose is critical to our self confidence, so let your studies be part of your purpose

I had a couple dudes in their thirties where I worked and they were some of the most fun to hang with after our shifts. The only thing that would keep you from socializing with your colleagues is the belief that some inadequecy is preventing you from doing so

Kudos for trying to improve buddy. I’m not digging the negativity of the responses here. You tried something out and learned what not to do. I’m sure you didn’t intend to be creepy. At least you had the guts and the drive to go out alone. You ought to find some friends to go out with though. I feel a lot less anxiety about approaching when I’m out with my guy friends. We challenge each other to approach. Make a game out of it. Have fun. Tell your boys how a certain approach went and get their in…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
