Thanks for the advice. I get what you're saying, and there are definitely actions I can and need to take from that so it's helpful. Started typing up a longer response explaining one of my more recent situations here, because it's not like the girl wasn't into my personality. I got too into the weeds and really at the end of the day it boils down to she was acting in ways that were problematic and I was allowing that and she probably was not a great choice for me to choose, she ended up fucking …

I agree with this in theory, how to make friends and influence people 101. Two points - 1) you have to find someone who lets you feel that way about yourself too. If they are free to be themselves, but you're not, then it's not a good time. 2) What do you do when that fails? Theoretically, I get that I should just "try again", but when I see going that way eventually fail every damn time and I consistently see the other way succeed, I'm going to want to go the other way. EDIT: When this happens,…

Being jealous in of itself is a natural human reaction, it's not necessarily good or bad. What you do with your jealousy is a lot more important. Don't be controlling or petty, or act insecure, but do express your concerns and feelings, practice sitting with discomfort/bad feelings and realizing that they can come and go. Meditation can be helpful with this. There are lots of women out there who like jealous boyfriends, because to them it means that you care a lot about them. In addition to mana…

You're not wrong, but it's amazing how much more confidence one tends to have when they are healthy or even just healthier across all aspects of their lives.

Seriously, same here. Part of me still has that ego-preserving instinct to say "Woah, at least I never was that bad", but I'm trying to remind myself it's way less about the comparison of "how bad our rock bottom" was, it's about how far away we have come from where we started. It's also about progress not perfection. I should/could be further and better than I am with time I have now had a "red pill awareness", but instead of beating myself up about that, it's healthier for me to focus on doing…

Really like your comment here, I think it expounds on the intent behind OP's message in a very helpful way and it challenges why many people want to claim their individual corner-case scenario makes them special. For me alcohol is the biggest problem. For others it might be gaming, or smoking, or sex, or food, or any number of other situations. For others it's probably more than one thing. If we're here, reading this site, I would think it's because we're here to learn and be open to new ideas i…

This was a breath of fresh air for me and re-affirmed why I still come back here. Real truth can't be ignored and (as obvious and needless as it may sound) I'm glad to see it stated that commitment to the mission remains paramount over drama.

I think it also comes down to a lot of people don't actually know what "treat them like children" means because they aren't good with children either. People here read you're supposed to tease and play with women and make fun of them but they don't know how to actually implement that. They take that and turn around and talk down to women, belittle and demean them, and generally don't trust them with anything because they assume superiority and let that assumed power make them entitled. That's no…

This was a great refresher/motivation post. Thanks for the write-up

I relate to this a lot and agree 100% that it deserves an expanded post; a completely solved game is significantly less fun for me. I think this can apply to men with women too, at least it did to me for a while. "A player who's too in love with the game to walk away" or "a guy who loves the chase" as some people say. I used to go out drinking a lot and I primarily approached women at bars/clubs. I haven't even slept with that many people compared to you all I'm sure, but for me there was defini…

I really appreciate this write-up, you accurately helped me put some experiences I've had into a broader context. There have a few situations over the last year or so where my attempt to A+A in a situation has been interpreted literally as you discuss here. It's left me verbally exposed, quite confused, and killed the vibe. Now in hindsight, I may have made some mistakes in delivery or had poor timing, or maybe the person was just not receptive to it. But I've also found myself slipping into thi…
