Asking for a particular kind of sex does not indicate lack of rape. Ever. Also, the emotions after rape can be really complicated and taking logical steps like not seeing someone after they rape you might not be a logical thing in the direct aftermath of rape. Neither of those things prove his innocence. Other facts in the case suggest it, but neither of these facts does anything to prove, or disprove, any innocence.

Just like it is damaging to assume someone is guilty before they have been determined guilty, it is damaging to censor someone who is doing something like this because it might hurt someone. I love how, on a thread that is about having the wording changed from "rape" to "alleged rape" you are so fucking sure about this guy being innocent. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. I have actually just seen news articles about it affecting cows in certain places. The last one I saw was like 5 years ago and about a cow in Oregon or something having it and people freaking out about eating beef and stuff, but nothing about a person getting it.

I think of cows when I hear mad cow disease. There are far fewer cases of people getting Mad Cow Disease than there are of people getting Mad Cow Disease. Either way, the implication is still the same.

It PRIMARILY affects cows, which is why it is called Mad COW Disease, not Mad Human Disease, or Mad Chicken Disease. Also, the implication is that PMS should be called Mad Cow Disease, because it makes someone into a mad cow. If we work under the assumption that PMS=Mad Cow Disease, then it would no longer affect cows, and just human women would be afflicted, and that is when you compare women and cows with that joke.

Mad cow disease does not cause mood changes in cows or people it affects. Also, that is looking too deep at a joke for the most part. Though, wouldn't it be offensive to call women cows? Even if you think it is the way you say it is, can't it easily be seen the way I think it is?

It is in NO WAY the same joke. Her joke was a joke about being grumpy and in a bad mood while on her period. His joke calls a group of people cows. It is not the same, and I think he deserved to be smacked for it. I would have smacked him too, and I would have smacked OP as well after getting smacked.

By number, yes. STEM is, on average, the highest paying major to go into (yes, I know it is a bunch of majors, but still very high paying ones). This is a big deal. The thing about choice is it is very easily manipulated by things around an individual. Even if there are scholarships "literally throwing money at" women, that does not mean that there isn't a societal force working against them.
