Saying it on this subreddit isn't going to change it for the people who actually need it.

Yes, while this is true, what i said is specific as that's what this subreddit is about. homophobic This part I do not understand how it relates because I have not seen a lot of cases where homophobia stems from experiences with people who are attracted to the same sex. when it comes to link mind people without any experience at all on understanding, then sure

Yeah sorry. I'm getting mixed in with a whole bunch of things. I'll try and simplify it. The title of this thread is somewhat off-putting from How to live, find success and happiness in an era of Feminism There's quite a bit of support from what the OP has stated, despite the surge from downvotes from wherever this post was linked too. But why is it that this subreddit exists when there's already a subreddit like /r/MensRights?

but enough are. This somewhat answers my question. "Enough to bring up a problem." If these exceptions are here, why is there not a collaboration of similar places that have similar thoughts? ie. Why was /r/mensrights having all these discussions instead? Why not /r/feminism + /r/shitredditsays

But there was an argument that drama in men is learned from women. And that drama is a beta trait. But there are "alphas" who stir and enjoy drama as well. And yet there are men and women who stir drama, no matter their background. So which is it?

How was I derailing the conversation? It was an off-example that I believe strongly relates to having choice and not having choice from being born. They’re helpless slaves to their own fucking emotions, and it’s not their fault. It’s your fault, it’s the fault of ALL men, for letting them take control and fuck themselves and everything else up. I asked if the example I gave was a bit too off for it, but if women are born into a way that they really have no control of how they think and what they…

Can you explain that? If not all women are like that, then why is: Women Have No Value Beyond Their Pussies the main point here? I didn't know that acronym existed. Then is it not fair to say that not all men are more valuable than women since not all men are the same?

This is one of the many reasons why you need more experience. There are many places on earth (I'm stationed in one of them) You really can't say say I need more experience as much as I really can not say you need more. What I see are women who are just as important as men working together. But I also see men and women who can not go any lower when it comes to respect, success, honesty, etc. And the in-betweens. So if I am so blind, then why are these factors present? It blows me away that you're…

You asked for a philosophical explanation and I gave you one. You said you needed more information, and wanted it handed to you in a study that you could dissect. I'm asking more of why your viewpoints are the way they are, and if your statements are coming from bitterness from experiences, or you truly believe what you are saying because things are exactly the way you say they are. And if these things are actually true, why are as humans are we moving away from the idea that women are property …

I can sort of see why people keep downvoting you. People are overlooking history and women are finally gaining power in their lives, and it's bothering a lot of people out there. This subreddit seems more for the betas, and those who prefer to be with women who are mindless.

Is there data "backing up" a philosophical viewpoint. But there's a difference between a philosophical viewpoints and facts. You saying that drama in men actually being a beta trait with it stemming from effeminacy is coming from where? Confirmation bias? I refer you to my earlier statement that you don't have enough experience with men. I can also say your experiences are lacking in men and women where your view points are quite skewed, where my experiences I have met people in different extrem…

have shitty ideas about a lot of them even though I don't know them. This is the biggest problem that I have when I discuss these kind of things with one of my best friends. He strongly believes that men are 100% than women, but his situation where the women in his life have more control and better off in their lives than he is when trying to compare, when it really comes down to that each person is different. I view it as things that come up like this are really putting down what women/men can/…

Those who have had terrible experiences with women have a huge time trying to figure out how to deal with the bitterness. This is one of the results.

So women who are completely opposite from what you describe and who are 2 friends of mine with come from where? Drama is a Beta behavior, a female trait. When it appears in men it is not because of their masculinity, it's because their manhood is being subverted by thinking that is unhealthy. Accepting drama as food is a form of effeminacy, and that accounts for individual men who do the same things. Same insides, same results. Can you link to any data backing this up? Or is this bro science fro…

One of my best friends believes like you do and he and I have discussions a lot of the time that really end up nowhere. My experiences are different from his and this kind of topic can't really be changed just from discussion alone. If you think women have value, it’s because you don’t have enough male friends to realize how little women give you. Everything similar to what you have stated I find somewhat lacking. I have broken off contact with 2 old friends because they were the ones to cause d…

Not so sure why people downvoting. India has completely different social values, and anyone mad about this really has no idea how bad women have it over there. They really can not compare these laws to how women have it in more progressed societies. Bitching about this is stupid. Would the OP rather have no laws at all then?
/r/MensRights19/03/13 03:54 PM

So would you rather have not any laws like that at all? It's a step forward for progress. In a culture that already places high value on men and not on women, I'm not so sure why you are complaining about "misandrist laws" when the women in their culture there have it pretty bad. From that statement made, to me your views are limited to only the society you live in. If the time comes for women making those kind of remarks becomes a social problem, then that kind of statement would be valid.

It shows how our institution are priming our kids to censor anything they don't want or like to hear. Wasn't it just one guy who pulled it down? Who is actually one of the students? I'm confused. The teachers or w/e put up a new free speech board. free speech 2.0.

Is it a HUGE problem that there are less male teachers? No. But it's nice to have more male role models out there for young boys growing up, no? The pay is low compared to a lot of jobs out there. Why aren't teachers getting paid compared to what they were from 20-40 years ago compared to today when comparing how much teachers were paid compared to let's say, the mayor.
/r/MensRights23/01/13 09:24 AM

Well why can't it just be said that less men WANT to be teachers? I think the bigger problem is that there's less incentive for men to be teachers.

How many times have you been in fights in your childhood? The difference is experience. If you don't get in fights, the thought has never came to mind, etc, that thought process arya put up is exactly what happens to my family members and friends.

I really don't see this as a men's rights issue as where this is a parent with issues.

Major props to that guy though for not letting B&N try and push it away and let it be ignored.

The problem is is that you aren't showing problems that ARE similar. I'm confused on this one. And then you make two statements at the end that came from where? The "man the fuck up" is usually said from other guys in my experience. As where women will also say suck it up to other women. Where as men's genital mutilation problem mostly came from a religious background/health problems from a long time ago.

How does that relate to women in the military now? If this is art, then why is monkat misinformed on how this is interpreted?

What he's talking about is pride, and it becomes a problem when we take pride in other people's work and link it to our own success as if we had anything to do with it.

Yes, this. I tried asking why the law was like this when I was taking law classes and the teacher said he had no answer, that the law is just like this. And today we still have no answer of a proper way of dealing with this, all because right at the age of 18, that person is considered an adult. How do we find the balance to what is right and expecting people to do the right thing? The suggestion I had in mind would be to remove the statutory rape law. I had sex with my girlfriend when I was 17 …

I thought people were over the whole The View thing or w/e already. It was a joke. Certainly doesn't help that she's a celebrity, but it was a joke.

Just 'trying' to reach out to other men and women isn't enough. But its a start. We live in a time where seeing is really believing, where people really don't know whats going on/would rather be in denial than hear it from someone trying to get signatures randomly from the street. Situations like these keep popping up, and its starting to come out more and more. The more it comes up, the more examples we have of why we need change.

And how do you think that starts?

I've had women hold doors for me when arms are full. I've held doors open for other guys. Maybe its more location on where this happens in the world, but people are helping each other out out there, no matter what gender, race, or age. As the more serious cases like help for rape of men, police rides, maybe over time. Also
