I stuff it into an online savings account as I’ll need it whenever housing prices drop back to reasonable levels where I live. 1	Just remember folks, this is how the mainstream media portrays single men with no kids Live free or die a marriage slave. I hear you. A friend of mine chose the former and, yeah, he was financially destitute for 14ish years. The mental part isn't a rose garden either, especially if it was your childhood sweetheart that decided to exchange marriage vows for a ride on the CC. Some guys choose the latter. I don't judge them, it's a very personal decision of cost vs benefit. You can make arguments to stay ( want to stay for the sake of your children, for example ) .
