Have you gone on a dopamine diet otherwise? Generally, yes. I have cut out porn and alcohol. Aside from scrolling reddit, I don't do social media. I spend too much time on the internet/phone. What effects do you like from the Tongkat Ali?

Bf% from a scale is unreliable. If your weight is moving down and your lifts are going up, you’re making progress. Just measured: Navy 23.6% and Strongur 24.5% They all say I am fat and have about 10% to drop. The trend of my weight and my lifts is easier. I like numbers. RUCCE You need to be ready physically, mentally (frame), and be organized / prepared or you’ll end up in the same place with less resources. Don’t worry about the mood (or her feelings) and just nuke the shit tests I appreciate…

That's quite possible. I sometimes get a dip after I ramp up intensity and frequency of physical activity.

That's a good idea about T. I was feeling depressed about life and was experiencing ED and as part of my work up got it checked about 18 months ago and it was normal (by family doctor) standards. I put the idea away and just assumed it was just the meat between my ears. As for fear of initiating/rejection, that has definitely been a factor in the past. Also with that is the acceptance of unenthusiastic duty sex (which is a validation-seeking internal error on my part). With that, though, there w…

My only long-horizon goal right now is to put myself in the financial position to make a career and lifestyle change in approximately 10 years. I don't know what that will be, but I would like it to be a completely different challenge or purpose from my current one. In the shorter term: Find my new sport (have picked up biking and I would like to go bikepacking) Carefully transition my my current job from hybrid technical/leadership position to another position that provides I am really excited …

Also to lose fat.

That makes sense. I have been thinking about the stay/go decision on a daily basis and to some extent seriously over the last 2 years. Some days I am really close to pulling the shute. The idea that I have not made progress to be the person I need/want to become is part of the reason I am staying and running my MAP. My primary goal right now is to stop the bleeding in terms of unattractive behaviors like being pouty/needy/reactive, STFU, and develop some self-respect/self-esteem.

I accept duty sex as rejecting it would allow me to respect myself and my wants/desires. Accepting it means I am not the bad guy. Accepting it means I can continue the status quo and not wade into more uncertain waters and conflict.

Okay, that makes sense to me. You identified my confusion with trying to figure out how/why to do something without hoping for a specific outcome. I think I get it - I don't lift because it's good for my marriage. I lift because I enjoy it. I also enjoy seeing my numbers go up and my arms/chest/back getting bigger. The contract behind "duty" activities that they are clearly to passify me, stop me from leaving, divert us from having sex, and if I do leave give her the high ground of "I tried, but…

One way or another, losing the fat will work for me.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have not. I aware for some of the components from reading on MRP dominance, emotion, variety, and immersion. That makes sense, and truly understanding and knowing how to apply this would be helpful. I recognize that his statement seems like an "I do this than this will happen" covert contract.

For whom is it a priority, and why? It is a priority for me. I want sexual intimacy because I enjoy the connection, the pleasure, the fun, the exploration, and the release. It is also a priority for me because it's something I am struggling at. It is a priority for me because I use it for validation...it's absence is loading with feelings of failure or not being good enough. Is there a difference between "our" sexual intimacy and "my" sexual intimacy? Okay, yes there is. My sexual intimacy invol…

I agree. My mental model for sex is fucked up and nothing about it feels natural at this moment. “doing sex for you and you can’t even perform” - expanding on this from what she has said is that she feels she can get in the moment and can orgasm from whatever sexual activity we do together, but feels unfulfilled and disappointed as I often cannot. Honestly, my ability to connect emotionally, more often than not, is related to feeling the physical connection. It's a covert contract that at this p…

Ha ha. No. I dislike spending time shopping unless I am looking for something in particular. There were a few specific items I want to get to check out fit, style, and material, in addition to getting tailoring. If I was going alone, I would have gone anyway.

Thanks for the advice. I dislike calorie counting, but I have found that doing it for a weeks really helps to recalibrate meal size, protein intake, and limiting the damage of mindless food/snack/alcohol consumption.
