It made me sad that FDS has overlap with the CPTSD sub because CPTSD has a lot of vulnerable people who need empathy and kindness rather than toxic relationship games. It's a pretty well-known thing that many FDS women were exes/victims of Red Pillers. C-PTSD was a common diagnosis with many of them too due to the constant emotional abuse and mental manipulations they taught. Even I ended up with C-PTSD (officially diagnosed) after some Red Pillers. My life was permanently affected and it has ta…

I used to be like this when I struggled with low-self esteem and depression (still do but it's only a few hours a week rather than constant). Are those thoughts daily or just when you're feeling down about things occasionally? When we struggle with mental illness or were abused in our past, sometimes our inner dialogue becomes hateful/resentful towards us. We've internalized it and then it becomes our daily truth. You obviously don't have to answer, but do you have history of being abused emotio…

Ahhhh, intentionally obtuse guy is back. 🦸‍♂️ Yawn.

So you're also unwilling to help others learn parts of your point of view which apparently has no point? 🤔 I feel like this is where someone should start playing the Benny Hill theme song.

Ehhh, not a lot of overlap, but some, yes. Can you use words to describe your point that you're trying to make? RPW data for those interested: https://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/redpillwomen Also, mercentric doesn't seem to be a word. I was unfamiliar but wasn't able to find a definition. If I use edemology breakdowns, I'm still not getting it. I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

Seems like a bunch of people who are seemingly interested in understanding multiple perspectives within dating and relationships. The others not in the screenshot for those interested: https://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/exredpill

What do you do until than? Start reading recovery books from specialists who literally wrote a book to help you deal with your particular situation or trauma. Libraries are a trove and people forget they exist. It's wild.

I'm pretty sure I've made myself clear in my posts and comments.

Oh man, I was in this exact position with another guy who was an absolute stunner in nearly every way possible for years. This is such a difficult position for the both of you. These are the "character building" relationships though. These really testy type relationships can really grind our gears, but make us soooo much better in the end if we really work at it. But there also needs to be a time where you give up in a sense if you feel it's going nowhere. When my guy checked out of 'us' finally…

Not all, but I know at least from personal experiences of finally becoming brave enough to talk about the REAL reason why I reject men (not the feminine-softened reasons required by the patriarchal 'rules'), many were absolutely shocked that it wasn't about them at all. After loads of therapy, self-reflection, reaching down deeper for real 'truths' and not society-led half truths, that's what I discovered. I felt so unworthy, broken, unlovable, ugly, etc. that it was almost offensive that a 'nic…

Stop trying to fit the star piece into the square hole. You need to see life from their perspective (abuse, fear, disorder, chaos, etc.) and then use that information to then help them reach, slowly, the conclusions that they need to escape the mindset on their own. There is a lot of the blind leading the blind here, but there doesn't need to be. There is a wealth of knowledge for families and friends to help someone escape a cult. If people are just going to chastise them all day, then nothing …

thus far I only got rejected, ghosted, manipulated… some girls told me I’m good and that they’re sure I’ll find a girl… I'm a girl and absolutely guilty of this (rejection and 'I'm sure you'll find a good one', but in hindsight of my own self-reflection journey, I realized that these guys I always wanted so badly but was always too afraid because I have mental health issues. So in being brainwashed myself from Red Pill, I learned that I was 'unworthy' because of it, so I pushed them all away, si…

try to see the person for what it is and not just as a political idea… I am a male and I feel very lonely. I am trying to avoid a negative mindset and do what I can to improve and to be loved…

Exactly. I do feel that way as well and agree with you a lot. I've been stuck in the loops myself, but I think the big thing with venting is that sometimes, if extended long enough, can actually slow down our healing. We need to vent in a way that's actual venting and not just venting in a toxic way that makes it seem as if they're continuously bashing. I find that asking them questions really helps, but there is a lot of telling here rather than the inquiry needed to help them process their eve…

I would say the biggest things I notice is the tendency to downvote them into the negatives for sharing pretty intellectual points. I would get if it was bashing women, but it seems as if any non-feminist point gets downvoted when the topic is something they do seem very genuine on trying to understand. I also think the people here need to want to help them learn and understand. Not everyone was as blessed and came from good homes. Some, like myself, were born into abuse and fear thus preventing…

to think that you had no faults or mistakes is silly. We should be calling it what it is for the younger lurkers that got stuck in this. It's "disordered thinking" and often an indicator for a mental illnesses or personality disorder. Stressing the importance of men getting quality mental health care so they don't get stuck behind 'influencers' who are only there to train millions of young men how to abuse their partners with "self-improvement" being the hook. Being in control of your emotions a…

From a woman's perspective, using that emoji with that context would mean, "Thanks for sending love on my birthday!" Hope that helps. Nobody can really know but her, but I know how helpful it can feel to get an opinion. :)

There are brain 'hacks' that are used in cults all the time. Part of it is your fault, but a lot of it isn't. You were intentionally misled, grifted, pitted against the ones you wanted intimacy from, separated from your support circles, enraged and pointed at the wrong person, etc. It is not fun, but it happens. It's happened in the hundreds of millions before and it'll happen again (until we make this mainstream knowledge). My guy friends got me involved way back in the day and the sheer amount…

Not necessarily. Trade jobs can make you successful. Some successful business owners never went to college. What makes it really attractive is the drive. We generally don't want anyone lazy. We want someone who wants to be successful. That can be achieved in a multitude of ways.

What I see here are a lot of tips about owning your shit and doing the work necessary to fix your thoughts, whether that be therapy or reading a self-help book that you got for free at the local library. Nobody will do the work for you. If you don't own your shit, you won't get better.
