You mean no big wars, no hurricanes or earthquakes, no tsunamis and abundant natural resources? It's a country that never hard times so it never grew a thick skin.

I agree. But it's a mindset to maintain the relationship cardinality. 50/50 relationships don't exist, there's always a power balance. Self-sufficient, yes, but not power to trample your decisions.

It's a mindset to keep the relationship balanced. I could try to expand more on that, but Rollo says it better.

One that works well is the "responsible teenager". You don't give full access to your bank account to a secretary, concubine or teenager. Not even a large sum of money. You make rules, she follows. It's not a tyranny because you still care, but the power to decide belongs to you.

Parents are the extreme post-wall side of the hypergamy. A mother/father is always looking for the good beta provider for their daughter and weed out the "bad boys". It's always making efforts for the woman to look decent, forbidding parties and delaying sexual experiences as long as it's possible. This mentality comes from a need to have a good provider for their grandchildren, genetical heritage. It also may come from a point-of-view that their genetics are good enough that the daughter doesn'…

I was the only computer science intern in a 120 people internship program. Because of that, everyone knew me by name, and that was enough to be invited to every party, even the small ones, and even get approached by women. That moment I realized popularity felt good and was powerful. I am not attractive nor likeable and it was situational, but still had tons of benefits that I could enjoy.

6 months ago I couldn't do a single push-up. Yesterday I managed to do 10.

Reminds me of Patrice O'Neal's reply to rude women calling him. He always points out the Beta husband that doesn't put them in line.

In an evolutionary sense, attention is seen as a good thing and even addictive because we, as a society, are social and hierarchical creatures. The more you go to the top of your hierarchy, the more you get attention. Attention signals power in the hierarchy. If there's more people paying attention to you, you have more leverage, more influence. It made me think recently how addictive attention can be. I moved to a new place where my dog's breed is pretty rare and I get a lot of attention from e…

Vetting and keeping control of your relationship and family. The fight is not in the court, it's in your relationship. It's fair to say that marriage 2.0 in the West is unfair to men. That doesn't justify not marrying at all or giving up on having children. I'm not a marriage/LTR advocate. I'm myself in one (soon to be married) and I know a handful of shitheads in relationships that have their asses handed to their LTR/Wives like a good beta husband. I'm aware I'm not one of them and also I'm aw…

So you say there's some obstacles to overcome something you want to do and your solution is to avoid the obstacles at all. And you also tell me that facing those obstacles is for weak men? What you need is to be aware of the obstacles and decide it for yourself. Checking out of the LTR/Marriage market is one of the choices, not the only one.

The Red Pill: Discussion of sexual strategy in a culture increasingly lacking a positive identity for men. In LTRs, sexual strategy is as important as outside of it, if not more. You need tighter frame, dread game and abundance mentality still. If you are dead set on having a wife and kids, then MOVE. It's our biological imperative to desire procreation. To fight it or avoid it is your choice and only yours, that's what sets apart BluePillers from RedPillers.

Learned how to properly do a power clean, incorporated in my routine.

Thank you for the encouragement. I'm currently replacing my bad habits, but the lack of discipline if the toughest battle.

It's actually depressing comparing that to the actual image in the mirror. But I put on a sticky with the quote "Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor." Keeps me going strong.

Thanks, I'll do those exercises. I changed my routine and now I walk nearly 2 hours a day instead of public transportation or a car, which seems to be helping me with my mood at least.

I actually read the whole squat section, but I can't reproduce the ideal instance that the author describes, thus my adaptation. But I don't have anyone to ask if it's proper or not in terms of propensity to injury. I can break parallel with my current form.

I'm having difficulties squatting (bad ankle flexibility) and I have to widen a little bit my instance (instead of the neutral instance usually adviced). How can I find my ideal form? I'm overweight and stretch daily even when I don't lift and I don't have good gyms around that can oversee my form properly.

Hence "do not talk to cops". To not say shit you think it helps you but it doesn't. When in doubt, don't say anything (which was the original point anyway).

I believe these kind of response posts are a form of concern trolling. "This is not Red Pill", "The Red Pill is about...", "It's not about...".

It's more of a habit thing. I drink 5-6 litters a day because I keep a big ass bottle next to me while I work.

Which are, essentially, contradictory, but complementary in a way. You should be antifragile until you can afford to be resilient. I see this concept in the modern software engineering concepts, when a system is mature and robust when it failed enough to have most fragilities fixed to be resilient. It is, in my point of view, a great analogy for building up physical and psychological strength. You can be only unphased by shit when you had shit enough. "Naturals" are people that have that built i…

Forgive my lack of expressiveness. Sure, buildings and cars in general is lower tier for sure, but what I meant is that it doesn't affect you that much. The people are definitely cool. I barely spoke german and got along well with a turkish guy that loved brazilian football and we shared some laughs.

Same thing in Germany. Turkish neighborhoods have better and cheaper meat, groceries and rent. And there's nothing different from white parts of town, other than a few burkas here and there.

I also dropped law school and switched to computer science despite my parents telling me not to, so I feel you. I'm really glad I did that (several years ago), because I wouldn't be able to live myself if I pursued that path. There's still much to learn, but I really like my current field. Keep up.

That was a good read. But I can't really grasp the concept of being liked without looking like an ass-kisser. Is that what you are pitching? Where do you draw a line?

You can still pollute your subconscious with romanticism even if you are conscious about the bad parts, like the BP ideology in current pop music. Ideally, avoid altogether.

I was (still am partially) in the same position. Started lifting two weeks ago, cut porn/videogame/junk food/facebook and limited time spent on internet. It's hard because I work with a computer all the time, but I can already see a little bit of progress regarding productivity. I have a LTR and it's hard to go full Monk mode, but it's something that I considered and am still reading about. Thank you for letting that out. It's good to know there's people similar to me here.

It is, indeed, a social change movement, rather than TRP that is self improvement. I can respect that.

I enjoyed it very much. It could be useful as a mindset to hold frame and also be a reminder of some power dynamic laws.

Thank you for pointing it out about The Alchemist. It is, indeed, a shallow reading and I was disappointed to see mentioned by OP.

Exactly this. The sidebar content is deep and takes time to chew. It's good to have different perspectives, field reports on specific concepts and constant reminder of The Red Pill mind.

The "learning" bit is about getting used to rejection. It's about outcome independence. When you learn that, you change significantly the way you approach people, and that's the methodology. It's about becoming rather than doing. When you follow objective steps all the way every time, you become limited to those actions. By "being" instead of doing, you shape yourself better each day.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
