most men are waiting later to marry because they’re more likely to earn enough to support a family. even if he knew for certain that you were the one he wants forever, he will never want to take that leap until he’s poised to be a better provider. this is because men don’t want to fail to provide for the girl of his dreams. if you want him to propose years ahead of his timeline, he needs to see from you that altering his plan is going to be better for him and his (much sooner) marriage, not just…

i understand the thought process, but the issues were identified and corrected already. there's no reason to think it would be an issue later when future pets and/or a kids' health are on the line.

i would say you're already doing the right things. you're being more mindful, and continually making progress. your effort will become easy, and will eventually become second nature (aka Common Sense). i also think your boyfriend would be better suited to do some of these things with you though, so that you're both on the same page. it's a bit of a d**k move on his part to say he's skeptical of you as a wife at this point. i mean you clearly are looking at each other as future spouses, so gettin…

i think that the biggest issue is your age requirement. most 35 y/o guys have been family minded since 30. they're likely already in relationships, if not already married. you also need to lower your standards in general. they're too strict, and you (by your own admission) aren't bringing so much to the table to warrant such demands. imagine if the guy you found to be ideal, never saw you as girlfriend-material because of your age/race/etc.? regardless of if you take my advice, i wish you al…

to be an RPW, you don't seem to appreciate how directly men communicate. if it's not a dominance-display, it's just direct speech. just tell him what you felt, and why it made you feel that way. if he gives a damn, he'll apologize, then you'll see him put in the effort to make it up to you. but if you just sit there and stew in how upset it made you, it will never get addressed (let alone fixed), you'll resent him, and he'll (obliviously) wonder why you're so angry. have a straight conversatio…

this is the case SPECIFICALLY because of the culture of Acceptable Divorce Rape. here’s an analogy: would you take a job that had the potential for complete contentedness. however, your boss has the right to psychologically and/or physically abuse you at her/his whim, regardless for how amazing an employee you were good or bad you performed, and this was completely legal. would you take the job? you’re lamenting the fact that most men won’t take the “job.” your (very understandable) desire for c…

i just deleted it. per the rules linked above, this place is about sexual strategy. i gave advice that was beneficial to the OP as a person. clearly the sexual strategy has precedence, as THAT is the more important thing to base a an LTR around. i’ll stay in my lane from here on out. enjoy your games & strategies, ladies 👍🏾 🙄

truthfully, i don’t think you’re to masculine, though i’ve been in the Navy for 18 years. my perspective is a bit skewed. regardless the best thing you can do, is what you’re doing. only ease back on more masculine things and/or ramp up on more feminine things as you see fit on your terms. if you do it for the purposes of someone else, they’re going to like a version of you that exists for the sake of a man, not the version of you that’s YOU. once you ease off of that of stop, they’ll feel like …

this isn’t bad advice at all, but “you should feel free to pick the places to have meals…” may backfire. “suggest” is the better action. most guys HATE indecision from their girlfriends in LTRs, BUT no man likes having his SO dictate what’s happening (especially if he’s spent a bunch of 💰 in the endeavor). tell him what you’d like, but don’t make the plan then tell him what’s gonna happen UNLESS that’s what you all planned things out. (side-note: you’d be amazed at how many guys prefer that. i a…

if you have a young face, balance it out with a more mature wardrobe. think more of a Exec. Producer, vice Photographer. both could be the same age, but they are almost ALWAYS easily distinguishable. you may also have to get a boring, short haircut. kinda like the silver-haired gentleman on Mad Men, or like an ever-so-slightly long military haircut. seems weird, but it works, is quite easy to maintain, and is never really out-of-style. i’m nearly 36, but i’ve looked about 27 since i was 23y/o.

plate and next her. she's clearly not being on the level with you, she doesn't deserve too much from you. so plate and next her with a clear conscience.

currently single now, due to 10-month deployment, but i can tell you that when any SO i had with just changed into a more positive and supportive nature, with no catalyst, i'd initially be skeptical. i'd simply wait for the facade to fall. you've established a firm pattern, and we all know: long-established patterns rarely ever shift, let alone change drastically. you gotta keep doin what you're doin until it becomes how your lives together just ARE. he will better fulfill that role of "Captain"…

you're not confused. you just want someone to make you feel better about your shitty decisions while gently guiding towards the already well-lit path of what you already know what you need to do. you are HAMSTERING right now! respect yourself and cut this guy off. and also REJECT ANY AND ALL advice that is nice, easy, and makes you feel better about what you've done already. you have to do a hard 180 spin in the opposite direction of what you've been doing. also: go out and be without a man for …

when you have these tantrums, you need to FORCE yourself to: 1) admit that you were completely in the wrong for what you did, 2) sincerely apologize for your words and actions (and not that BS "i'm sorry YOU'RE upset" garbage that far too many people use), 3) make amends for what you did and/or said, and 4) take SERIOUS steps toward getting your anger under control. if you don't do all four, then you are NEVER going to change your situation, and you'll succeed in pushing away someone that truly …

i'm not gonna lie, when i discovered TRP, i kinda laughed at the idea of RPW. it didn't seem to me that women could be RP at all (sorry for the judgement. i was in a low-level "Anger Phase" all newb RP-ers go through. i got over it quickly, and have been past it for over a year now.) in an effort to not be a hypocrite, i checked out RPW, and was amazed at what i was reading. i've actually got you ladies on my "Bookmarks" now, and i'm not ashamed of it. and it's primarily because of posts like yo…

unfortunately, women don't really have ability to be picky. this is the case for two HUGE reasons: 1: you're slightly more than half the adult population. the deck is stacked in favor of men, as the Demand is greater than the Supply. which leads to the next point... 2: for the most part, the traits that women desire the most from men (the Demand), only about 30% of men have. can't be so picky when 51% really REALLY wants less than 30%. women aren't "waiting for a man to come along and choose the…

as a career military man, i see that the dependable Sailors are continually saddled with more and more work due to their dependability. eventually, most lose their drive to be so dependable to the point where just rage quit at the end of their enlistment and leave the service forever. we lose the best assets because they get negatively rewarded for being helpful and doing well. my point to you is this: the best way to thank him, is to put to use the advice he gave you...and to work REALLY f-ing …

first and foremost: there is no "top plate." there is the woman he likes banging the most, or the one who gives him the fewest issues, or one who is available most often, but plates are plates. second: FuzzyKittenIsFuzzy's statement of "I tried that lifestyle and I can quite confidently say it isn't for me. I'm committed to doing things differently." is bullshit. don't take it to heart, as it sugar-coats bad behavior. if you feel less bad about it, you're less likely to avoid it. be honest with …

full disclosure: it's bit long-winded. RP men are not against LTRs, and most of us aren't outright against marriage. we're just using very strict risk-assessment rules for relationships. we see the financial and (more important) emotional pitfall that these types of relationships are for men. there's no guaranteed reward for commitment, exemplary behavior, support, and positivity that can't be stripped from us at the whim of women. if a woman is looking for a Captain, then she needs to be what h…

the question i have for you is this: is your number of partners, and your number of committed relationships the same amount? you say you've only been with 3. if that was before you found RPW, oh well, no huge deal. 3 isn't much for any guy to GAF about if this was AFTER you discovered RPW, you're likely not headed down an RPW path. you're probably not exercising good impulse control, and you're also giving TRP hard-liners more reasons to say "AF/BB" (as much as i observe what they mean to say, t…

as a man (33), i can tell you that you should find nice little things to do for him that you ALREADY LIKE TO DO. it's just easier on you. if you are forcing yourself to do "those little things," then it becomes a chore to perform. you will inevitably tire of doing it. if just you stop doing them, he'll think you're caring less about him. he MAY also feel just a little bit of resentment too. we (for the most part) like order and consistency. stopping any of those "little things" means you've aban…
