Had a similar experience 20 years ago. Google ‘imputed income’ for some more fun and games. Started a blog to tell my story and keep my sanity. Still here. Stay strong.

One glaring fact that was omitted from the article - female undergraduates started to outnumber male undergraduates somewhere around 1980. https://www.statista.com/statistics/236360/undergraduate-enrollment-in-us-by-gender/ That means we have been trying to "solve" the non-existent problem of female underrepresentation in college for over 40 years!

What you are describing is known as a motte and bailey strategy in some circles. See: https://slatestarcodex.com/2014/11/03/all-in-all-another-brick-in-the-motte/

Yes, it all sounds very familiar. Best piece of advice is literally ‘no contact’ with personality disordered people. Narcissists and borderlines are famous for their ability to ‘love bomb’ their victims to keep them coming back for more. That’s the toughest part - accepting it’s not real love or affection - just a ploy. Once you stop playing their game then the claws come out. Just be far away when it happens.

Mr Jones and his parents were the subject of 32 separate charges brought by the ACT police, the most serious of which was threat to kill and sexual assault (rape). Their ordeal lasted over 5 years until the last of the charges was dropped in January 2015. To defend themselves, the Jones family spent approximately $350,000 on legal fees before all charges were dropped. Their accuser, Sarah Jane Parkinson was sentenced to 3 years and 1 month with a minimum period of 2 years non-parole. The relevan…

Keep writing, sir. I started a blog during my divorce to warn others about the biased court system. It helped a lot to get my feelings out.

When the issue was raised the judge asked whether the DA was filing criminal charges. When the answer was no, he said "then I'm not doing anything either".

Yeah, my ex filed an affidavit (under penalty of perjury) stating I was in arrears for child support and alimony. The state started garnishing my wages with no evidence whatsoever despite an objection being filed the next day. It took a year to get in front of a judge and present evidence that I was 100% up to date. The judge declined to levy any penalties for perjury. Just another day in the glorious Patriarchy (TM).

Brilliant, let's just sit on our asses and not act so we can't be blamed for failures. Did you ever stop to think that without men inventing things to improve the conditions of society then we would still be living in caves?

Watch the documentary Divorce Inc to truly appreciate that divorce is an industry. With no alimony, automatic joint custody, and 50-50 asset splits there would be very little for lawyers and judges to do. Hence, lawyers and courts typically oppose any attempt to simplify the system.

Only issue is “equitable division of assets” which often means the lower earning party gets a larger split of the assets. Another interesting part of the Australian system was the view that alimony should only be enough to prevent that person becoming a ‘state charge’ (I.e. set at the level of welfare).Don’t know if that is still the case though.

An excellent explanation, When fault was a consideration, it made sense to protect the innocent party. NC still has this law - basically no alimony if you are at fault. Of course, when things switched to ‘no fault’, the alimony provisions did not go away. So, if Mary Beth cheats on Billy Bob she still gets rewarded with alimony. Same if Mary Beth sits at home for 20 years refusing to work. The court will generally assume it was a mutual decision and award alimony to Mary Beth even if she is full…

Of course then he will have CS and alimony. The longer he waits the higher the alimony to compensate her for ‘sacrificing’ her career to raise the child.

Shades of super bowl Sunday. Here is a link to the British research https://rss.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1111/j.1740-9713.2012.00606.x Author is surprised to find 40% of victims are men and that the highest proportions of DV occur between Xmas and New Year (and weekends). Also has a nice discussion on the problems gathering data on DV in the UK. My take: the more time family members spend together the greater the risk of DV...duh.

No, the court/state garnishes her money straight from his pension.

Agreed, alimony can best be understood as an insurance payout for loss of SMV as a woman’s greatest asset (her look) depreciates over time. Historically, it was a deterrent to men trading old wives in for younger models. Of course in today’s environment, of having one’s cake and eating it too, it is grossly unfair given no fault divorce and the man no longer being the only breadwinner (in theory).

NC doesn't have support orders in the final decree - the separation agreement IS your support order. Note, you or your ex can still go back to court at any time and have it modified if there is a change of circumstances.

;tldr "Women, I’m begging you: Think this through. We are fostering a climate in which men legitimately fear us, where their entire professional and personal lives can be casually destroyed by “secret lists” compiled by accusers they cannot confront, by rumors on the internet, by thrilled, breathless reporting denouncing one after another of them as a pig, often based only on the allegation that they did something all-too-human and none-too-criminal like making a lewd joke. Why would we even wan…

Calm down, it only applies to arrears. The problem is that the payment doesn’t automatically adjust when you lose your job - you need a court order. The payments only reduce AFTER the new order, not from the date of filing. If looks like this guy’s ex-wife kept filing objections that delayed the order and effectively bankrupted him as he had to keep paying the original order even on no or lower income (not to mention both sets of attorney fees).

Avoiding or acquiescing to bullies only makes them bolder. Charles Murray (in By the People: Rebuilding Liberty Without Permission) suggests establishing a strategic defense fund where landmark cases are aggressively litigated. Like most bullies, SJWs will cower when confronted.

Good luck. Note, the court also won't enforce visitation - no money in it for them.

As long as your ex is not claiming you are in arrears then you are fine. Once a complaint is made then the following machinery rolls into action. http://family.findlaw.com/child-support/enforcement-and-collection-of-back-child-support.html My ex made a totally unsubstantiated claim for arrears and they started all of this shit without any evidence whatsoever despite me filing an appeal within two days. It took one year for the judge to rule I was not in arrears but there were no consequences for…

Another part of the scam is that a court order is required to modify child support. So if you lose your job (or have a reduced income) then the previous payment level applies until the judge changes it. Hence the arrears start to mount up. Of course, your ex-wife’s lawyer has every incentive to fight the adjustment thus delaying it further. The judge can even ‘impute’ your income if he/she believes you are wilfully underemployed. You also may not know that the state gets a commission from the Fe…

Which was the whole reason that the US constitution banned ‘debtor prisons’. Of course, the court has ruled that being jailed for contempt of court for not paying child support is not the same (yeah, right).

I haven't seen my son for 11 years. Same BS. His mother even filed an affidavit under penalty of perjury that I was behind in child support/alimony. Proved false after 12 months with no consequences whatsoever. Visitation never enforced. After the first year, I started representing myself in court. The lawyers are all part of the scam that is the divorce industry.

Well, basically, the court will look for any excuse to throw out up a pre-nup (or a post-nup, which is also 'legal'). There are rules of thumb to make it stronger but there is no guarantee. Some rules of thumbs include: no indication it was signed under duress (prenups have been thrown out because it was signed the day of the marriage) having both parties consult their own attorneys before signing and indicating they have received independent legal counsel that all pre-marital assets are disclos…

OK, but a 50 year old guy is unlikely to land a 20-year old virgin and spinning plates gets old after 20-30 years. Is MGTOW the only remaining option?

Thanks, Todd, it really does feel like she has died and been reincarnated as a completely different person. No doubt her friend was an influence in re-igniting the longing for her youthful CC days. A lot of TRP theory says 30+ women are seeking commitment but there is less on why they throw it away after they have it.

So you guys think that women about to hit the Wall will literally throw everything away for another 5+ mins of alpha? What is the thought process? That they can land a beta whenever they want? Her mom has been divorced 3 times and has now been alone for last 10 years. My ex has said she would have been better off not leaving her first husband - so WTF when she does the same thing!
