What really makes no sense is putting men in jail for failure to pay child support. (And there are so many men in jail for that.) Well, now you have virtually ensured that the child will get nothing from him, since he can't work, and you've ruined a life on top of it. Way to go justice system...

Any time it can be proved that someone has done prison time based on someone's false accusations, the one who committed perjury should have to do all the time the falsely accused did, times two. I am from Lubbock and am a Texas Tech alum. This sure is a horrible stain on our past, and something a lot of people would like to forget or pretend never happened. But they cannot do that. Recently a statue of Timothy was put up by campus. It faces the law school, for obvious reasons. A permanent reminder of a terrible case of injustice.

One has to wonder, if courts are to weed out jurors in this fashion, why even bother with a trial? It's just a waste of time and money, and would be purely for show, since apparently we must believe anyone (read: any woman) who makes a rape allegation. They are basically saying that "she said"--in the absence of any other evidence--is sufficient to convict.
