A blood test won't tell you if you have it unless you have had a major outbreak. The other test is a direct tissue swap where they try gather... what ever it is they shed. If you have the virus but aren't shedding yet and never had an outbreak, you'll never test positive. It exists in the nerves, not in the blood

Most people don't get tested for it, they think they do though. It's not included on any STD test panels because doctors consider it a mild inconvenience. Everything else they test for can kill you if left untreated.

Girl Scouts is shit when it comes to anything wilderness or life skills. Camp Fire, originally Camp Fire Girls, was started in 1910 as the sister to the Boy Scouts. But in the 80's they started allowing boys due to the lack of numbers. Still a good organization though.

Look, I haven't been to the other thread, but this picture doesn't tell me enough. And it's certainly nothing to be pissed about. They are pooling applicants. 350 men, 350 women. How many positions are they trying to fill? 10? 2? 1? Out of 350 men, I'd wager that 10% will make it past the first round of tests. By pooling 350 female applicants, it gives them a higher chance of finding qualified candidates. Plain and simple. I see nothing here about lowering standards.

You seem to think menstruation is disabling. For some (small minority) it is. I have a cousin that is bedridden on some times due to the pain. If I remember correctly, she has a "thick uterine wall" that is the source of the problem. The amount, and type, of pain meds she would have to take to curb the pain make it unsafe for her to leave the house. The only option she has to end this is a hysterectomy, but she would like to have a child before taking the nuclear option.

Keep in mind, this is in New Zealand. They have a 22% rate of fatherless children. I highly doubt she is the only single parent in the school. Just the only one to complain about a Father Son bonding experience. As long as it sticks to the basic facts; name, offence, location. I see no problem with it. My local paper does this once a month with everyone that commits the slightest crime or arrest. As long as there is a proof of crime submitted... Edit: This was how I found out where my old bully lives. I didn't do anything, just rejoiced in knowing they live in the most rundown shity part of town.

No, it is not my opinion. It is the public's opinion. Seeing as the public is never given all the details of a case, I can't say one way or another if someone is guilty without first hand knowledge. For a good example, I guess I would refer to the Casey Anthony case. Guilty in the eyes of the public, not guilty in the eyes of the court. Again, OP's question; Men are guilty until proven innocent in terms of rape and molestation. Are there any crimes women are guilty until proven innocent? This If they are then why do fathers consistently get longer sentences than mothers for killing their children? Is not related to the question. And the Court of Public Opinion Has absolutely nothing to do with sentencing guidelines.

In respect to the OP's question, a woman charged with killing her child/children is perceived as guilty in the same way that a man is perceived guilty of rape. This all happens before evidence is presented and a court or jury has even been assembled to decide. Also wouldn't "women who kill their children" be guilty of killing their children? That's the heart of the OP's question. Did she kill her children?? We don't know for sure.

The studies done on the subject go by the numbers, not on news coverage. So how attractive a perpetrator(male or female) does not factor into the results. I kind of understand what you are saying though. When the "News" decides to cover a trial that is not of a supremely heinous nature. It's usually because there is an attractive woman involved. But no, that does not factor in to research.

I'm always sceptical of most "studies," as we should all be. Anything commissioned by a particular interest group should, almost always, be discounted for bias. Also, when reading ABOUT a study, double check who wrote the review with the study for cherry picking stats to prove a point.

I live in a town that has a women's penitentiary, and I'll tell you what. These women do not get light sentences, but remember these are hardcore repeat offenders. Not the one time offenders. I just hate seeing repeat drug offenders being locked up along side them. These are the ones that need a healthy environment if they are ever to get out of the cycle. I would like to assume that the ticket prices are set to fill the seats. But here in the US, womens tennis gets more general coverage than mens. So the women's would cost more. What babysitter keeps a small child for a week and doesn't give the kid back because they can't pay???? This doesn't make any sense. It's not a car in the impound lot! A babysitter would give the kid back to the parent, and not babysit for them again if they can't pay. Maybe small claims court.
