No, but it wasn't Serbias either, and when Serbia gave in to all but one of Austria's demands, Germany could have told Austria to back off and preserve peace. Instead they said that it's a-okay for you to invade a powerless nation and spark off a war with Russia and France. They then proceeded to invade a totally neutral nation, committing war crimes along the way, just to gain an easier route into France. Regardless of fault for the assassination of Franz Ferdinand (which Austria simply used as…

The opertunistic assholes were Austria-Hungary (attempting to slow the break up of the empire by destroying Serbia and hoping this would make the various nationalist groups in the Empire simmer down) and Germany (looking to take France and Russia down and seize territory to expand its Empire) France and Britain only wanted to maintain the status quo, Russia was defending its ally. Classy. Who said anything about special treatment? If it was 2 guys in the same situation id say the exact same thing, that the whole case is stupid and obvious anti-gay hate.

IMO this whole case is a matter of anti-gay hate targeting a gay couple. If they were living in Canada this wouldn't even be a legal case.
