When you're self improving you're in turn changing your morals. "I will do this, I wont do this." Now if you've changed your morals and are showing people. You don't have to be a dick to everyone around you just because you're trying to be alpha. But on your point is you are using technology to your advantage with little "wasted" time on facebook/instagram/twitter/tumblr and whatever else is trending now.
