So I am new to the idea of “men’s rights” and am genuinely curious what you guys are advocating for. Could someone provide a couple of rights you guys want to see passed? (Serious replies please)I very much agree with you. I feel that "fuck feminist" style has often come from a place of frustration and an overdose of exposure to the "radical" side of women's movements as a whole. It's definitely is not productive though. | /r/MensRights | 03/12/21 06:28 PM
So I am new to the idea of “men’s rights” and am genuinely curious what you guys are advocating for. Could someone provide a couple of rights you guys want to see passed? (Serious replies please)Yeah, I get entirely what you mean, (I saw your other long comment a while ago and just got done responding to it) what I meant by my reply in this chain was that the people here agree with you but the stereotypes that exist about men are often upheld by women, the same way that expectations of women are often held up by men. ^ expectations here is equivalent to stereotypes. And they would rather talk about the ways they feel they want to change the way that women view men rather than the way wo… | /r/MensRights | 03/12/21 06:21 PM
So I am new to the idea of “men’s rights” and am genuinely curious what you guys are advocating for. Could someone provide a couple of rights you guys want to see passed? (Serious replies please)To preface this, I agree with you. But... (TLDR at the bottom for a less confusing summary) The people here don't just want everyone to be held to the same standard in the eyes of authority, courts, the system, laws and the like. They want it in everyday experiences. They don't want to be looked down on by the women (and other men) in their lives because they couldn't open a pickle jar, they don't want to endure death glares from mom's at the local park when they take their kids to play because … | /r/MensRights | 03/12/21 06:16 PM
So I am new to the idea of “men’s rights” and am genuinely curious what you guys are advocating for. Could someone provide a couple of rights you guys want to see passed? (Serious replies please)I think you may be getting downvoted (not by me), because each time you respond to a comment about a topic, instead of viewing it from the man's perspective, (e.g. how men are viewed as stoic and emotionless and aggressive, when they aren't and shouldn't be) you instead focus entirely on the way women are viewed and how that relates to the topic instead. The comment I'm responding to right now does this. Don't get me wrong, you are right, everything you said in the comment is factual, but you ar… | /r/MensRights | 03/12/21 05:54 PM
The gender privilege mythHow she gonna sue him for child support if he ain't got money? | /r/MensRights | 27/01/19 04:40 PM
Men should be allowed to sign away parental rights without the consent of the woman during pregnancy. If she can choose to not be a mother, he should be able to choose to not be a father.Hey, im not entering this comment thread to say much but im just gonna say kudos for that last sentence, you are one of the people that should be responsible for legislation, willing to listen, argue, develop solutions and stay on topic. Sorry this is a little weird but its not common at all to see someone react well, openly and with enthusiasm towards criticism of their ideas. | /r/MensRights | 17/12/18 07:52 PM
Men should be allowed to sign away parental rights without the consent of the woman during pregnancy. If she can choose to not be a mother, he should be able to choose to not be a father. You're right but the outcome of either choice not being avaliable isnt equal. Just because the process is more difficult doesn't mean choice should be revoked. The woman not wanting to go through the process of an abortion should not impact the man at all if they dont want it to. Someone making a personal choice not to have an abortion shouldn't affect the life or livelihood of another, regardless of the process involved. | /r/MensRights | 17/12/18 07:49 PM
Men should be allowed to sign away parental rights without the consent of the woman during pregnancy. If she can choose to not be a mother, he should be able to choose to not be a father. So long as the woman has given him a reasonable period of time in which he is aware that she is pregnant. Also the males cut off should allow a short time before the abortion deadline so they dont sign the release 2 days before the abortion deadline and the woman is unable to get one. | /r/MensRights | 17/12/18 07:46 PM
Men should be allowed to sign away parental rights without the consent of the woman during pregnancy. If she can choose to not be a mother, he should be able to choose to not be a father.I too enjoy crippling men who dont want kids by taking extremely large amounts of money that very frequently dont fund the child that you never see anyways while the woman has the freedom to choose if she wants that financial struggle. I also enjoy when boys and men are raped and sued for child support for the baby that is born because of it. I too enjoy when people are struck with large monthly payments because a woman decided she lie about or sabotage contraception. Dont you just love it? | /r/MensRights | 17/12/18 07:43 PM
The Google Doodle for International Men's DayYeah, but to be honest its just a cop out for not wanting to do it. They could easily do it just out of support for it becoming a recognised day especially since one of the other days they listed was about celebrating toilets (i believe). They could make a doodle linking to a petition to make it internationally recognised but they wont. That is the reason they gave but more than likely not the actual reason. And to be honest most people can make a strong guess at the real reason. | /r/MensRights | 19/11/18 10:40 AM
We at MensRights would like to celebrate international womens day because in contrary to popular belief we're not anti women!Ummm... "The advocacy of womens rights...." The first words of the definition literally mention womens rights. Yes, its "on the grounds of equality of the sexes" but since it exclusively and explicitly mentions womens rights it neglects the issues that need to be addressed when it comes to mens rights and therefore is not entirely dedicated to equality of the sexes since it only applies to issues faced by women. | /r/MensRights | 08/03/18 05:02 PM
We at MensRights would like to celebrate international womens day because in contrary to popular belief we're not anti women! The dictionary definition doesnt mention anything to do with mens rights which means the cause (if abiding by the dictionary definition of feminism) cannot consider mens rights and therefore must in someway be sexist in their representation of gendered issues. Personally, I believe both Feminism and Mens Rights Activism should be encouraged and respected mutually and never target each other. | /r/MensRights | 08/03/18 03:36 PM
