I agree. We worked for years with disabled folks, and usually a woman had to be very messed up to end up homeless. Parents will take care of even middle aged daughters far longer than sons. (Fathers often resented supporting adult sons, and frankly, males were more likely to cause serious trouble than females, i.e.: physical violence, criminal activity, etc. Sad but true.)
