My goal is just to go on a single date, I figure I'll reorient once I've had that actually happen and I get an idea if I even like dating.

With enough self respect, what do you have to live for?

Everyone is doing it, so I should be able to too. Isn't this much how we decide what is moral?
/r/ExRedPill19/11/25 03:48 AM

My own parents discouraged me from dating, saying women would be a distraction from my schooling and career. They then acted very surprised and dismayed when I hit 32 without ever getting into a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 03:40 AM

You mean an industry that requires creativity, marketing, creating a community and staying in shape (something most men can't do apparently)?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 05:29 PM

Sounds like a normal job? Some people enjoy what they do, some people hate what they do. We all do it to keep the orphan crushing machine going.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 05:22 PM

It's classic halo effect, handsome guys can really get away with anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 05:21 PM

You must really dislike comedians? Having to pay someone to make you laugh, pathetic! Comedians, just standing up there telling jokes as a "real job"?! Go bag groceries at a Walmart like the rest of us!
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 05:16 PM

There's IMO zero difference between a woman visiting a male sex worker and a woman going to the bar to pick up a stranger for sex. Women simply have options men don't.

The traditional part of womens gender roles is sex and babies Aren't birth rates declining because more and more men and women don't want children?

I would 100% go for it, as someone with a personality disorder it's really my only chance for any kind of companionship.

If an autistic man and non-autistic man put the same effort into dating, should they get different results?

In my experience, women don't even consider some men as human if they're ugly enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 04:39 AM

I think you're ignoring that the traits women are most attracted to are the traits that tend to accumulate power, and money is just a way to represent power. Women will always want powerful men who are aggressive and show darker personality traits, because women evolved that way and the men who showed those traits have the highest chance of breeding.

Do you ignore a mans muscles just because you don't need something heavy carried? We don't so easily ignore what biology and upbringing is telling us to desire, even when it makes us act irrationally.

Generalizing based on gender!

Maybe as a woman you have a different perspective on all this? Because things like romantic novels are rare reading for men and the few I did read growing up were not about rich princes taking in poor hot girls, but poor guys getting the attention of the hot elf queen. What where TRP people at when all this info was provided to you? clearly not paying attention. I didn't learn about TRP until after college, I wish I had learned about it earlier.

Is it sexist to believe women have preferences and I might have to change myself to match them? Women just like men, are human beings who have things they like and things they don't like. TRP concepts are no more sexist than make up or dressing nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 09:28 PM

My understanding was the blue pill is believing "Just be yourself" and in Disney romance as reality. Stuff like love happening without trying, or "It'll happen when it happens". TRP is opening your eyes to the marketing and delusions modern media have put over you, going back to what has always worked and what works in nature. Women have preferences just like men, you need to learn those based on their actions not their words. Then you need to change yourself to meet them. Implicit and unsaid un…

I think you're mixing up this subreddit for one of the movie subreddits? That was the meaning for the movie yea, but the meaning of red pill in the context of dating unfortunately has nothing to do with fighting robots.

I don't think I'm sexist, I treat both genders as equals in being absolutely shit people. Is there a misanthrope pill?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 08:57 PM

Likely it would be compounding, basic sexual selection and eventually breed out the undesired traits. In practice it wouldn't work, just because reality is a cruel and unhappy place.

if you're 70 and cant afford a couple hundred bucks, you probably have a lot more problems than companionship We in the United States, currently dealing with people who are 70 and living on SNAP benefits (which the republican party has blocked) who will now starve to death. So yea, having a few spare hundred at 70 ain't the walk in the park for most of the US.

As one of the men who can't figure this dating thing out, I know I will be alone. Either I'll go out via doctor approved suicide should it be something like dementia or I'll just fall over one day from a heart attack.

I'm this dude but 36, it is what it is. Everyone's life works out differently. Nowadays I just focus on my hobbies and my work, talk to the friends I have and do stuff with them.

I suppose as someone who does view the industry hiring trend, I simply refute this based on the evidence of there being a ton of positions open but either: No one qualified No one applies Where are all the hungery qualified men?

FWIW when I comment on reddit, typically it's women who have the meanest replies not men.

Don't you need a short term relationship to reach a long term one?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 08:31 PM

As someone who practices that, it really doesn't disrupt life as much as you think it does. I can see why you might believe that, probably a lot of your friends are women. However I can go months without talking a woman without even trying to. Friends are all men, coworkers are all men, hobby groups I engage with are all men.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 08:17 PM

There are hungry people looking for the jobs that those men would leave behind. Yet despite this, no one I know of can get a job who hasn't already had one for 15 years. Not because there's no openings, but because the AI personality quiz says they're a bad fit.

I've definitely been called someone only looking for a "purse" when I mentioned that I am looking for a woman in a similar financial bracket.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 08:09 PM

Bit of a rock and a hard place there. Either you are too picky, or you're told you are not picky enough. IMO this is just one of those signs that the two genders will never see eye to eye.

What I don't understand is how do you get a date without interacting with women? Like to even get that first date, you need to have talked to them - but how "behaves normally around women" get established through a few text messages?

Sure, I recently even told someone else. I like to complain on reddit about difficulties dating, but in reality I just don't interact at all with women anymore. Reddit and this subreddit are my primary form of social interaction and arguing with women on this subreddit comprises the majority the male/female socialization I've had in the last 10 years. I know if I wanted to ever actually go on date I need to interact with women but... I just don't want to interact with them.

Tried therapy, was just a waste of money. Tried self help books, learned some better ways to manage my time and build habits but the socialization strategies just didn't stick like the others. I did go from unable to read the room or body language to being able to kinda muddle my way through understanding someone's mood from their posture but it just reinforced how unpleasant interacting with people tends to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/25 02:51 AM

... Yea? Like that's actually the #1 advice given to men who are struggling to date. "Have you tried lowering your standards more?" I have never heard that advice being given to a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/25 02:46 AM

No I thought men built society and gave women rights blah blah blah. Men created everything, including god. You can take the blame for your society as well, since we have not had any choice in how we get to participate in it as women until this recent century. This is why it's pointless arguing. It turns into a blame game.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/25 02:42 AM
1

It's enforced by society that we all built and we all enforce. Part of being human is hating the "Other" who are different. it's not something that can be cured or will go away. You can throw around studies that reinforce the trend but until action is taken nothing will change. If a male shows incel traits that means they may be a terrorist, following that backwards if a male struggles with dating they're more likely to become an incel that one that doesn't.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/25 02:31 AM

Cmon though, we're talking a major terrorist cult here. Even if only 5% of them go on to murder someone, is it really worth the risk? They were proven guilty the moment they failed basic social proof tests and failed to obtain a mate within a reasonable timeframe.

So if a guy can't have sex with a woman, by what age should we send them to jail?

Ok, so lets assume every woman I've ever talked to so far is attractive. How do I fix that if finding an unattractive woman is so incredibly rare?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 01:57 PM

I have never rejected a woman, ever. I talk to all the women I meet at hobby groups, what more do I need to do to not be someone women accuse and dislike?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 01:48 PM
1

I think you got the wrong impression, I stated my own weight/BMI is what you'd consider "above average attractiveness" and I stated that despite that I'm still below average attractiveness. My comment shows that I don't consider being a healthy weight to have a positive impact on my dating ability.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 01:43 PM

My standards at this point don't exist. How do I lower that more? At this point I'm legitimately starting to consider LLM companionship, because what I really want is just someone to talk to about my day.

Maybe they know they're fat, so it's already hopeless? I normally don't post because I know thinking about this stuff drags my mood down for the week, if I were fat I'd just entirely try to forget that women exist. As for your other post, that's definitely not the experience I described! I've never had a positive social interaction with a woman, but I would like to pretend that if it does ever happen I'll at least engage in the conversation. In my experience it's more that I'll put in effort, bu…

What does "Average Woman" even mean? We throw these words around like they mean something but how do you distill someones entire worth as a person into a single qualifier?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 04:46 PM

A man who has a lean BMI and a high income is not average. He is above average. Despite these things, I am very much below average.

Where do you find women to approach? I've tried online dating, speed dating, singles events, hobby meetups, natural socialization - I have never met a single woman who was actually open to being approached.

I mean, I've never had a woman act interested in me. So is it so crazy we'd not really know what "The Signs" are if we've never seen them?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 04:38 PM

The problem with pictures is that you don't feel their vibes. I'm ugly because women feel unsafe around me, I have no idea why. It's something multiple women across the years and locations have told me. I look "unsafe" just standing there reading on my phone.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 04:35 PM
2

I mean, yea. I'd rather someone tell me the problem so I can fix it than mislead me. Imagine you go into the doctor and instead of being told you need to cut down on carbs they say "You're doing just fine, don't change anything" and then you get diabetes you could have avoided.

I won't lie, my mother has scared me away from relationships. I would have leaped from a bridge if I had to live with her for longer than I did. My Father's going to be working until he literally dies in the office because she can't go a month without spending 10k on some purse or necklace.

I don't think anyone said it's bad? Men don't pursue women because they've learned it's not how things really work. Women pursue who they like, so why should we expect men to put in effort for someone who doesn't like them? I wouldn't expect a woman to chase a guy she doesn't like. What's bad is that men are generally told to "chase' and that chasing is part of the romance game, men pursue and women get pursued. That kind of upbringing is part of the whole problem, but it's baked into society an…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/25 03:12 PM

Isn't there a point where it's no longer worth it? Like at some point my standards are so low that having this other person in my life is actively going to make my life worse. Nowadays my standards are simple, "Is my life better or worse with you in it?"
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/25 02:51 PM
3

I may have phrased it badly if that's how it read, especially the "for the taking" bit. In my experience it's more that women just don't see men, they're background noise. Kinda like how if you're out hiking you don't really "see" every rock or pebble along the path. You might see the really impressive ones, but most of them are just underfoot and in the way. That's always the feeling I've gotten from women, they don't really see me. Just this man shaped blur to walk around.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/25 02:47 PM

By age 26, 95% of men have had sex at least once. I've always wanted to be a part of the 1%, granted maybe not this one but a win's a win!

They probably learned that taking care of your appearance doesn't actually matter. At least that's the lesson I've taken from life, used to do the whole skincare thing and try to stay in "fashion" whatever the hell that meant other than wasteful consumerism. Nowadays the only thing I keep is clean and fitted clothing since that feels nicer to wear, but it's a lie to claim women even notice. A woman would need to actually look at a man as something human to notice what he's wearing.
