Me here, just broke up with someone who was definitely too big for regularly scheduled sex and I don’t want it again! Average to like at max an inch above will be more than fine. :’)
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 09:27 PM

We were together for a bit over a year. He was sad, but didn’t think our lifestyle goals were an issue since ”once I’d travelled around and gotten it out of my system I’d want to settle in our hometown and he wouldn’t have to change his lifestyle to be with me” lol. My main issue was just that I had so much more fun and felt like myself around other people than I did around him, so I felt little motivation to actually spend time together when being with my friends and family was more fun and rew…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 12:37 PM

Broke up w him because of incompatible lifestyles and personalities, goals, wasn’t in love etc
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 08:43 AM

Wow… that’s really different from what I grew up with, and kind of sounds like it sucks. :/ Sex can be such a beautiful experience and learning together is something you’ll do no matter how many partners you’ve had. Unfortunate that that isn’t valued highly
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/25 12:40 PM

I’m telling you, you most likely will, and I’m also telling you that you will most likely have to lie your whole life to your future girl if you do go to a prostitute because I can not imagine a bigger dealbreaker than ”I lost my virginity to a prostitute”, especially if I myself was orthodox and waited for somebody special…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/25 12:31 PM

I can have chemistry with almost anyone over text and then have that fizzle out in real life. When you can rethink what you want to say before saying it it’s a lot easier to be charming and charismatic than when you’re on the spot lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/25 12:29 PM

Right? And the US-centricity of reddit becomes clear here lol, in my country I’ve not yet met a man who wasn’t of the ”since she gets pregnant it’s her choice”-opinion.

Sounds like they didn't actually like the kinky shit then and don't wanna do things they don't like anymore lol
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/25 02:43 PM

I mean the event is marketed as being for people who want to find the one but are tired of dating apps. I still find it weird that the 45 year olds would think a 25 year old is who they're there to meet when the most common age there seemed to be 30-40...
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 08:46 PM

It's just everyone mingles around and you get a sticky note to put on your clothes and write the chosen ice breaker of the night, like "a fun fact about yourself". So there's really no way to know who's into what age range if you don't talk to them
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 07:28 PM

My friend and I went to this singles event with mixed ages between 20-45. She’s open to meeting someone for a relationship and multiple men aged 40+ hit on her while she is 25. In my mind it is obvious that a 25 year old normal person (i.e not a celebrity) would not be interested in dating a 45-year old, but clearly it isn’t lol. How soon do you tell that man you’re not interested and should she say it’s because he’s too old?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 06:23 PM

Well duh. I never disagreed that men have it harder, obviously men are less picky and women can then be more picky. Finding someone you yourself vibe well with and are attracted to is the hard part as a woman, as a man even getting a woman to talk to you is difficult let alone know if you vibe.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 05:37 PM

No, I think for a relationship to be pleasant you have to actually like being around the person as much as you do other people or more. I've never had that so I always preferred spending time with friends and family, and at that point I see no reason to be with that person. Shared goals and values are obviously important too. I don't think I'm describing a perfect person, or looking for one. Most my friends are partnered with people who are different from themselves in many ways, but they share …
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 05:35 PM

In the future if I want someone to spend my life with I want a man who I’m attracted to, who I get along with, laugh with, and who has similar life goals/priorities as me - preferably similar education level but I’m a bit flexible there. I don’t want to date an ugly man, but he does not have to be tall or rich.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 03:20 PM

Same things that makes most women incompatible with most men. Different political and religious views, different goals for the future, views on kids, cultural background, sense of humour, just general personality traits that makes up what a person is like, interests etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 03:18 PM

After I grew out of being ugly which happened in last year of high school, dating was easy on apps. I never struggled to find a guy who was into me and I've never dated any asshole guys, they've all been lovely and sweet, and attractive to me. I've been in two relationships lasting over 1 year and now I'm single planning to be for many years. I never get or got approached by strangers, if meeting strangers happened it was always me who approached. I now have two past flings who I am sporadically…

Same! I want a cat badly but if my cat doesn't love me like I love it I would not know what to do with myself. It's just a cute but ungrateful freeloader at that point

Find a kickass master's project for the spring, finish my degree, work in a lab, go to every conference I can and breathe in the knowledge like it's air
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 08:23 AM

No, but I can tell when a woman looks good
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/25 07:56 PM

Loooool if he’s sufficiently feminine? If he’s masculine and gay would you be scared he’s just a liar
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/25 12:48 PM

”Damn, she fine. I wonder where she got her jeans/bag/jacket/makeup/hair done/workout from”
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/25 12:47 PM

In this sense I’m not a girl’s girl either. I’m a girl’s girl in that I love women in general, I like how most women I meet are, think, speak, act etc. but I am surrounded by good people so this is easy. I support other women, check myself when I’m jealous of other women, go out of my way to encourage other women but I will not encourage bad behaviour or excuse it with ”but she’s just a girl!”. That is infantilizing, and stupid and in my own feminist opinion, not conductive to feminism. Like the…

Yeeessss very good comparison!
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/25 09:25 AM

They are not ALL lying, genuinely the men I date have for the most part been muscular and we both share weightlifting as a hobby. Multiple of my friends show zero interest in muscular men. Zero, like they never dated them, never hooked up with them, when they get hit on by them they always say no and tell me that's not their type. They date and sleep with skinny men, and that's their type. Genuinely skinny. But on a general level, yes women do find muscles attractive and since there must be some…

Compatibility matters more for a LTR than looks, but to get there you have to be attracted first. A relationship can't survive on "raw attraction" alone, plus if women stay hooked on those dudes it's because they either find them too hot to leave, are too scared to leave, or think they're compatible in a lot of ways that makes them not want to leave, are scared of being lonely etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/25 07:56 PM

What women in Scandinavia create communes for short men... I've never heard of that
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/25 09:04 AM

Cheating obviously. A fantasy is just a fantasy and cheating is heartbreaking
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/25 09:03 AM

Yes, but hot enough to date is not usually the issue lol, most guys who are hot enough to date you're not compatible with for other reasons
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/25 09:02 AM
2

I wouldn't want a guy to call me wife material if it generally meant he sees me as someone to raise his kids and cook for him, not someone he wants to have physical intimacy with and who he finds sexy. If some super hot guy is like "but you're wife material, I don't wanna sleep with you" that's not a compliment coz I would want him to want to sleep with me. I feel like this is also the male take
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/25 08:20 AM
2

My friends are self aware enough that they don't do that, and they're happy with their own partners lol. If I find my partner attractive and my friends do too that's fine, I trust them and just looking is really not an issue. If they ever got touchy and flirty, or talk about how hot he is I would talk to them and tell them to stop. But if you're not comfortable with that tell them! I can absolutely see how that would be so weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/25 08:17 AM
4

No, I think you try to read them, if you’re unsure you make a move somehow, see ow they react and if they don’t move away just go for it (or just ask them, the worst that can happen is they’re not into it)
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 11:34 AM

Aah I see, I really mean if you're already on a date with a woman and you want to kiss her. I feel like that's a pretty safe place to assume her body language is true lol
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 09:42 AM

Do they assume that though? And is it a bad thing to get to know the people in your partner's life?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 09:30 AM
6

Are you telling me you can not guess at all when a man or woman is interested in another person based on them being more/less engaged, facial expression, how they're standing, how they look at the other etc?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 09:28 AM

Because they assume you'd have more fun if another man was there? I would a million times rather hang out with my boyfriend's female friends, or male friends' partners, than his male friends because I usually think it's more fun when women are there.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 07:10 AM
13

The important thing is just reading body language right before so it's not a chocking out of the blue thing. Did closeness increase between us, are we sitting closer, more eye contact, looking at each others lips, touching some way already? Is there vibe? Then a "god I wanna kiss you, can I?" Could be deathly hot, but in my experience if you're already at that point you know you don't usually have to ask since it's pretty clear.

My work and school isn't a transactional quality though, it absolutely is who I am. I'm 6 months away from finishing my master's degree, which I've been working towards during the most formative years of my life. It's a passion, it's a way of life that is very special, and it is a pretty big part of who I am, who I want to be and what I want to contribute with to the world I'd like it if guys cared more about it, and I don't see what "non-transactional qualities" it is in women that you think me…

Yep, but living in South Korea for example, the girls wore short short SHORT skirts and that was fine and normal but god forbid they showed some cleavage, like that was really whore behaviour lol. It really is pretty cultural what is sexualized clothing and what isn't

Hence why I said huge, not big lol. I just assume "holiday dick" would be freakish
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 09:12 PM

That's cool, and I'd probably agree that's a thing because I can not do huge for a relationship, painful sex is not for me. But I never heard the terms before

Never heard of it in real life ever
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 01:50 PM

I actually agree with you, but of course it can feel shitty still to loose a friend when you thought things were fine. Being hurt from rejection is valid still, but I don't think the other person is also wrong for feeling hurt that their friend doesn't want to be a friend anymore, especially if it's a close friendship
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 06:53 AM

Based on the people I've met and the people around me I'm not an exception, and the three or so people who have complained about their exes being bad people have done so rightfully.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 06:49 AM

I'm not alone though, I have plenty of other great people I'm close with for company, support, fun :)

I'm so happy right now, I feel like I haven't been this happy in years. I will get too comfortable to ever get a partner again lol, being without a relationship is genuinely the best - I can do whatever I want, whenever I want, with no one to have to compromise with or let know before and fuuuuuuck it is so nice
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/25 09:12 PM
2

I do not no, I do see some on the street out and about but maybe one or two couples a day that I notice where the guy is clearly hotter. The others are usually pretty equal looks wise or the woman is more attractive
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/25 09:07 PM
1

Do you want her to be your girlfriend? Is so go with it, if not, don't
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/25 09:06 PM

I don’t know, do you like to go out to eat? I really do, love to cook, love to eat out, love cheeses and baked things so someone who doesn’t care at all about food would not be compatible with me. But I’ve met multiple people, men and women who seem to think eating is a necessary evil and have said they would rather just take a pill three times a day to get the nutrients they need
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 09:41 PM
2

I highly doubt that still, and there's no way to find out. And maybe it's my age talking but he is not that hot now, I mean he looks old? There are other younger celebrities or celebrities who just look better
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 11:44 AM
3

I don’t think the issue is because the women are hot, I think people have an issue with a 45 year old dating someone fresh out of college, and I believe most women would think a middle aged woman dating 20 year old men is creepy the same way. It’s the age difference, not the hotness.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 11:20 AM
0

Or - and hear me out - the only standards that are weird in men is wanting 20 year olds when you’re far above 20… and that would be weird for a 40 year old woman to want too so that’s not gendered. Not wanting to date a fat woman? In general people are less accepting of hypocritical preferences in men than in women, but a lot of that is based in gender roles and eradicating them would decrease the hypocrisy I’m sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 11:08 AM

I empathize strongly. I can imagine it being awful to want connection, a partner, to experience things with them etc. etc. It’s not hard to put yourself in someone elses shoes, but my empathy doesn’t come with lowering my own standards or being open to sleep with or date people I’m not attracted to. Nor will I encourage other women to, and it’s been made clear that then the empathy doesn’t really matter that much.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 07:34 AM

Thank youuuu. Every post about wanting sympathy from women boils down to this - while a lot of guys say they want sympathy, the main issue is not getting the sex they want and that won’t change unfortunately so sympathy won’t be enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 07:31 AM

Getting a man to hookup with you? Easiest thing in the world, I take back anything I said. Asked a hot guy at the bar tonight how to get a casual relationship as a woman, he suggested I just ask "do you wanna fuck?" and said no man would say no to me for that. Asked him if he wanted to fuck, he laughed and said yes, boom. Done deal!
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 09:24 PM
1

It was all my side. I felt, and still feel, that I had a hard time being myself around them - not because of how they were but because of how I am. They were wonderful people, but not the right people for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 08:53 PM

That's weird, I have none and my friends have none either...

... Men still stick their dick in crazy tho? If they're hot enough, so. And plenty of women do take accountability I'm sure for dating guys who turn out to be assholes but you just don't hear them complaining online

Very true, men and women ignore shitty behaviours in people they find attractive enough. Unfortunate, but nature is cruel lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 07:43 PM

At an age and in last year of university where most people just have found someone they wanna be with long term I guess and I've just realized relationships are not, and maybe never will be for me
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 05:36 PM

Wooooord, all the women into timothee chalamet's body vs those into henry cavill's body lol
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 05:14 PM

I feel like I have the opposite issue now of women. As a recently single woman, all the guys around me are either in long term relationships or want relationships. It feels like the odds of finding a hot guy in my area who is relatively decent for something casual/just sex are zero to none...
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 05:07 PM
1

Oh well then that's ludicrous, but again, I don't think that's what blue pill is per definition...
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 03:12 PM
3

Well there is no way blue pill claims getting a girlfriend as a balding fat guy is just as easy as it is for a tall hunky man with hair as long as you're nice lol, is that what they say?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 03:09 PM
2

They say all of that doesn't matter? I've not heard that, but I have heard that personality matters more for maintaining a relationship (with a sane person lol) and that is true, attraction will only get your foot in the door. But okay then I don't agree with blue pill, but I can't say that's the definition I've heard myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 02:52 PM
1

Absolutely agree, 100%!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 02:50 PM
3

So then what do you think blue pill believes that is different from red pill?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:45 PM
1

No because preferences vary from person to person, but the number of men who have very few women into them is probably bigger than the nr of women who no one is into. The nr of men all women are into is also smaller. Like most stats with women, things are generally less diverse, but that doesn't mean all women are only attracted to 6+ foot white men with shoulder to hip ratio above 0.7 who earn six figures.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:44 PM
11

I have a different type from all of my friends. One is into chubby black guys who look kind of feminine, I am not. Another is into guys who have a skater ish style, are very skinny, look kind of grunge, I am also generally not. I don't consider myself having a type since the guys I've been genuinely into have varied in ethnicity, height, build, and personality but I know every time they bring home some guy it's 100% never someone I would date or hook up with myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:42 PM
1

Right? OP why not just whisper "do you want me to do XYZ in her ear"? Any partner who asked do you want me to fuck you has been an instant "uh huh yes please right now" from me
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:35 PM
1

I know a fuck ton of men who play counter strike and love paintball but don't actually wanna go to war. Weird right?? If you're not into CNC (neither am I) but you want a kinky girlfriend, just be very upfront with not being into specifically cnc
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:33 PM

I'm between choosing a master thesis (STEM) where one possible project is super independent work, very little supervision but they want good results and have high demands. I'm worried I'm not qualified to apply for it while also worried I'm selling myself short, and that if I just really applied myself I could do it. Should I apply for it?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:31 PM
5

Now I'm no pill but I can see why blue pill believes in it because I see men who are not tall, rich, Chad-looking in relationships with women who talk them up and are in love with them around me everywhere. Both in personal life and out and about.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:30 PM
11

"contrary to popular belief" he says in a subreddit where the number one sentiment being regurgitated is that women are only into Chad lol. Yes, women on dating apps pick the most physically attractive men because there are way more men than women so thet can be million times more picky than men can.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:14 PM

Weird to have never been on a date/kissed/hooked up/relationship... depends on circumstances. Lived at home, strict parents, religious background, studies etc. but in general I'd say around 26-27 ish?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 12:32 PM

Way to help with this guy's depression man... one would assume someone against therapy would be advocating for kindness as a way to help with depression instead
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 12:31 PM

Same. I outed my very strong feelings to multiple people in 6th grade through to high school and all of them said they weren't interested lol. I've still been the one to make the first move, and while I understand that being rejected 50+ times in your life with zero success is very different, if you are just sometimes rejected then yeah you accept it and move on. We're not compatible with most people, and most people you would find are not your type after spending time with them, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 12:29 PM

Right?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 12:23 PM

Because the point of those comments is that the sexual behaviours of men and women will never be equal, so men desire something from women (easy attention to a large variety of people) that only men give out. Women give sexual attention to a smaller subset of people than men do. Women have smaller desire for "just any" relationship than men do, have a smaller group of people they're attracted to than men do etc. If you look at any male-centered nsfw subreddit for example it's pretty much only ot…

It is absolutely something valid to be sad about, not experiencing romantic relationships. But a majority of women can experience it because, like you said, a majority of men do not have high standards. One of these groups will have to make a change in their behaviour to change the status quo, and I'm 99% neither are willing. Personally I will continue to have high standards for education, looks and personality. But it is 100% valid to feel sad about not having this experience, I would too, and …

Men contribute as much or as little as they want to their kids' lives. Want to contribute and have a meaningful place? Be a good and involved parent on an equal level as their other parent.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/25 06:27 PM

Eh, I think it changes the dynamic of the relationship a bit. I keep friends and sex separate, so if I found out that a friend wanted to sleep with me it would feel a bit odd. Not impossible to get past by any means but it would mean that person doesn't belong in the friendship only "folder" anymore so I'd feel a bit weird around them for a while.

This person has a crush on you, is in love with you, or acts like they do/are to get validation or attention.

Thank you, jesus fucking christ. "The dark triad"... moooom they geekified being an interesting person who isn't a pushover! Is it sense of entitlement to ask people for things or is it just assuming people want to be helpful and that most things aren't that big of an ask?

Because there are additional positives to going to a bar? Like actually looking at and talking to people in real life, talking to your friends who are probably there with you, just being in a social environment.

Yeah that's crazy, I would just give it to people I was flirting with or students lol

Ahh yes, famously, thinking it’s unfair to be forced to grow a child that is half someone else’s inside of you or worrying about being murdered/trafficked/whatever is equal to wanting to put your dick in someone and them not wanting to have it. Grow up.

You can voicce your dissatisfaction all you want, but like the other commenter said, the supply and demand will never be fair. Hence why apps like Grindr for men seeking casual sex with other men are hugely successful, while the same concept among lesbians would crash and burn. I can only imagine that sucks but it is what it is, it will never be fair
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 02:06 PM

Or, women in their mid 20s just don't think you're hot for whatever reason. Maybe younger than 20-year olds think successfully hitting on an old man is like a badge of honor, and 20+ year olds want someone who's not their dad's age... (Trying the red-pill-beloved honesty route here)
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 09:47 AM

Absolutely! Men please god make yourselves look better through whatever means you see fit. I’ve been doing it since like 13 I would love to not be the only one doing it

Sir have you been to a club before? Really?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 08:00 PM

You should really ask the women in your life if they’d be as eager or more eager to go clubbing if there were no men there. I can almost guarantee you most women would love a women’s only club.

Because those places are also know for being vibrant, fun, high energy and social? Yeah girls night can be nice to spend at home or going bouldering or whatever, but giggling with your friends over some wine at a bar, eavesdropping on other groups and looking for people who are clearly super horny for eachother is fun too. I’d believe boys night isn’t in these places because guys generally don’t go to clubs just to dance with eachother the way women do, for example. 4/6 of the girls in my friend…

I don’t really do that anymore as I’ve been in two LTRs back to back, but I can imagine getting to orgasm with a hot person without having it be a person whose (potentially fuckass) family you also have to deal with can be one of the reasons lol. Women do like sex, at least most of us, so enjoying sex would be the main benefit. If you’re a woman who cums easily, hooks up with people you’re not complete strangers with and don’t worry about your safety with, and are pretty comfortable in your body…

It is isn’t it? Crazy because the club is not where anyone I know met their fwb/hookup, that was more through bars, dating apps, college pubs etc. Me and my friends went out this weekend to see out other friend DJ, we all danced together, had fun and out of the nine of us there were three couples, one girl with her boyfriend at home and me and one more friend who’s single. It was such a whore house! /s

Because the men I’ve dated long term have started out with us having casual sex or having sex very early on in the relationship? So what is there for him to be insulted by? ”Oh but you also slept with this other guy whose personality you didn’t like and then never texted him again, I’m so insulted that you both find me hot and want to sleep with me multiple times and also like me as a person😔”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 11:30 AM

LOOOOOL true. And to add to it, this idea that all people who go clubbing are sleazy sluts who get ”ran through” on a daily and do drugs and cheat makes me feel like no one here 1. has been to a club or 2. has any friends who they’ve been to the club with or 3. know any couples who go to the club

In the words of that other commenter, people deserve equal rights regardless of if they're gonna go down on me.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/25 05:46 PM

What a stupid post lol. She was clearly in the friendzone until he changed his mind, but when he didn't want to date her she was still seen as a friend. Some dudes get out of the friendzone too but at one point they were still there.

Dude you've told the same story of this one woman at your weird place of work five times now. Don't make it seem like this is a normal and common thing when it's one woman at your work, who you should report to HR. Just report her bro.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/25 04:11 PM

I absolutely think we should and as a feminist, I would support it! Seeing the amount of "why should I care about the success of other people and their lives" comments I see on here though I think you'll have a hard time convincing the men to take part in this too
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/25 09:01 AM

Your question was why women assume that a sexually unsuccessful guy is not nice. I don't assume, but based on the comments I read here from sexually unsuccessful men about how shitty women are for various reasons, I can see that being sexually unsuccessful also doesn't mean you're automatically nice. The people I've met irl who don't get laid are nice, so this is really judged on a case by case basis.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/25 09:10 PM

I'm not a racist, hence I don't talk shit about black people online or in real life. If I see a person who says they never get laid talking shit about women online there I'm gonna assume that's in some way reflective of how they actually feel and think "in real life"
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/25 08:59 PM

Like the other commenter said, I don’t assume, I just look at the people here and see what they say.

Wow people care that much huh? Jesus
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/25 02:18 PM

Both I guess, but not for a relationship, just someone to talk to and dance with and have some fun with. I did approach one guy and we talked for a bit, but the conversation was pretty lack luster so we went back to our seperate groups

Third time at the club with a friend who got hit on five times in front of me tonight. I did my makeup super nicely, did my hair nicely, spent time on both of them and even though I have dated people I have been really attracted to and that were objectively attractive long term I am fucking jealous of her. It feels like when I was an ugly teen and I felt completely invisible, like I put in a bunch of effort for nothing and I couldn't help noticing how many pretty girls were around me. I cried wh…

I can, but I'm not only talking about hobbies. It's how we look at our problems, men are more likely to want to solve than talk a lot about it first. Guys have very different friendships with their friends and connect in a way that I can not relate to at all, interact with their families differently than I do with mine (only women). Usually keep their apartments different, go to bed different times, and I find that we in general approach the world in different ways. I have still connected with m…

No I didn't edit it that I remember? I'm not worried about the men liking me lol that has not been an issue, I am worried about me not liking them since me and past partners have often been very different in ways that I think are hard to accept since I'm so used to everyone around me beingmy way

1

Am I to believe you guys are vegetarians
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/25 12:24 PM
3

I didn’t call myself attractive, what I mean is I’m a quite girly person - so I have very few hobbies and interests I share with guys, I interact with others in a way that is very much more typical of women than men, I only have female friends pretty much and grew up around majority women etc etc. That clashes with a lot of men because I find we often behave very differently
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/25 08:05 AM
1

Exactly, I mean more in line of don’t take yourself so seriously, not joking about how much you suck lol
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/25 08:02 AM
3

Sure, that's fine. But I don't go whining on men's subreddits about how pathetic and wrong male sexuality is, the way some dudes here complain about female sexuality. And when I do complain I don't expect it to change, men just are what they are and I don't date men that annoy me. You can just find it annoying and move on or talk to your friends about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 07:08 PM
12

Yeahh a lot of hookups are just a result of being drunk and the right person (someone available and also up for it) being at the right place.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 07:05 PM
3

Yuup. Just did. Plus, I'd argue there are even fewer men who women feel romantic attraction too than those we feel that type of physical attraction to.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 07:04 PM
2

Depends on the circumstances and their hot to crazy ratio lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 04:19 PM
4

Exactly, a person can be boring or shitty and still look phenomenal
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 03:48 PM
3

And because for hookups you wanna meet someone who just looks hot and makes you feel excited. Relationships require similar values regarding a lot of things, hookups do not.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 03:47 PM
3

I don't despise men and I don't wish I was attracted to women, that comes with it's own things. The only thing being a lesbian would make me is more compatible with more potential partners, since I am a pretty girly girl in every way, which clashes with a lot of men I meet.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 03:40 PM
-1

Well I'm not in the US lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 02:00 PM
5

You don't think wearing makeup, having nice teeth and not having acne affects men's attraction to women? And I'm not an american woman so I have no idea what they are doing lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 01:58 PM
5

Looool so what inches are you referring to then? And I mean penis size has got to be the least helpful trait since you actually have to get the person in bed to find out what it is
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:57 AM
9

What? I don't understand what you mean. But furthermore, most men don't have slim shoulders, a high pitched voice, weak facial structure and are short. That is not the average dude, who probably has at least one of the opposite features and can then work with what he's got and improve what is in his control.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:55 AM
3

You can still do things about those things though? You can gain muscle in your shoulders, you can train your voice to be lower and you can improve the way your face looks. Of course there will still be people who have it easier than you but that fact is outside of your control. And while yeah, those things are hot, you're not doomed if you don't have them, and you can still improve your looks in other ways and make yourself more attractive. If you don't think the gain is worth it don't do it but…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:43 AM
9

So you think women judge men's initial physical attractiveness by their penis size...?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:38 AM
7

Hihi I love that cat she is so ridiculously cute. But you did. "Sorry incel, chad had a lot of work growing 3 inches, why don't you do the same" is in your comment dude
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:29 AM
1

Okay so then decide which level you want to be on and go get on that. Don't complain about it when there's clearly things you can do to improve your looks. Again, it's like you're actually blackpilled.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:28 AM
4

I will admit it - I will not find a man attractive just because he is kind or intelligent, because he has to physically look good to me. But height is not the only determining factor for good looks, and there are many looks factors that men can change or cultivate. I.e fitness level, skin, hair, clothes, perfume, social skills, charisma etc etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:27 AM
3

Why is it always about height with you people? Red pill doesn't encourage giving up but improving oneself, so accept your height and improve the many other things you can improve? Like fitness levels, hair, skin, clothes, perfume, social skills, charisma what have you
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:25 AM
1

Okay so then do you not have common sense? Here you have a doable, surefire way to become more attractive to honestly both men and women, and you're rejecting it because...? Red pill isn't the give up pill and used to be about men improving themselves. If you want to be more attractive do that. Women are more attractive when they're fit than when they're fat too, so everyone is more attractive with some muscle.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:19 AM
2

What?? How are you redpill, I thought the entrance exam to the club was realizing that fit men do way better in dating than not-fit men and that women are like equally shallow...
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:13 AM
8

And you didn't even answer my comment - a fit, well groomed charismatic man who's 5'8 is more attractive than a 5'8 man who has weird style, acne and no social skills - and more attractive than a 6'4 skinny-fat man with weird style, acne and no social skills. So there are absolutely things men can change to make themselves much more attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:06 AM
2

I also prefer tall men, but that doesn't mean I'm not also attracted to, and haven't been attracted to men who are my height. They just have had other things about them that made them hot that the tall guys I've dated didn't have.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 10:04 AM
17

How did I miss the point? You don't find men attractive unless they're tall, I find men of many heights attractive and I find them more attractive if they're fit, have nice hair, dress well, have charisma and smell good. These are all very fixable things for most average people.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 09:53 AM
26

Because women on a collective level (for the most part) spend an enormous amount of our waking hours thinking about how we look, how we could look better, what we wish we could change etc. and doing things to make ourselves look better. Working out, makeup, clothes, shoes, jewelry, hair care, colour analysis, teeth whitening, skin care, weight loss, dieting, botox, tanning, improving social skills, building confidence and charisma: all things women do to be more attractive - so it sounds super l…

That lol or their thigh. First make intense eye contact, make excuses to be close to them or touch them. Ask them questions, make them feel like they're the only person I notice in yhe room, do normal woman-flirts stuff like touch my neck or hair, see if they respond similarily and then escalate.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 05:58 PM
2

That's pretty much it, yeah. Showing yourself as a sexual option while making it feel like you'd be perfectly fine not being one too.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 05:56 PM
1

Not being uptight but being able to let loose a bit, joke around, laugh at yourself and with others at them. Hold eye contact without nervously looking away, casual touches that are not sexual, not being afraid to challenge a person on their views or doing so playfully. Like just not behaving like you are scared people won't like you or scared of women, but that you're interested in them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 05:55 PM

Yes, very true. My friends are all very attracted to their own boyfriends, yet none of us think of the other people’s boyfriends as attractive and they all look different. One black chubby guy, one bald guy, one super tall skinny blonde guy etc. If we were all attracted to the same men, then well we could admit that we think the other people chose partners whose looks we like but alas we do not. But yes, I believe there are fewer women who no one is attracted to than men no one is attracted to b…

Is it a sexual advancement to maybe talk to someone by the coffee machine a few times and have a laugh with them? Most likely her husband didn't drop to his knees and tell her her pussy smells divine, they probably just got to know each other at work
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 03:32 PM
2

Accurate. I’ve had to defend women being attracted to ”authenticity, extraversion and speaking one’s mind without being scared of judgement” because those traits also being common in criminals apparently means any man exhibiting them is a bad person, and women shouldn’t like him lol
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 07:56 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 05:09 AM

Yes, what women want or don't want should not dictate if men are bad people or not. If you don't want to be a bad boy, don't be one. And most women are not marrying criminals and objectively evil people.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 05:04 AM

Nothing is unconditional, I’m only friends with my friends on the condition that they’re nice to me and I still like them and they wanna hang out. I still love them though since they do those things and I do like them. This outlook on relationships is so depressing. Conditions are good, and while some people in relationships are absolutely just in them because they’re lonely, most people are in them because they love the person and want to be with them - on the condition that they’re loved back …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/25 09:12 AM

It’s usually just pretentious people trying to virtue signal and appear more sophisticated than they are Ding ding ding! Correct!
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 08:09 PM
6

Probably because people if they start a relationship with casual sex don’t count it as a seperate thing to the relationship? Me and one of my exes started out having casual sex, but whenever I talk about it I don’t report ”had casual sex” and ”was in long term relationship” as two different things, since it was just with the same person right before we actually started dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 07:13 PM
5

Exactly. It’s usually pretty clear if the person wants to also spend time with you doing other stuff and takes an interest in you as a person, vs if they just wanna meet up to fuck
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 07:07 PM
4

Hard pass. Straight into sexual talk or has sex early on? Both of my exes and I had sex on the second or so date, and had beautiful relationships (that they weren’t the ones to end), most people I know around me had sex early on or started as just hooking up (not americans, this is common) and have been dating their partners 3+ years by now.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 07:06 PM

I’ve seen men call themselves sapiosexual too and my god does it sound stupid, regardless of who says it. Oh you like smart people? Me myself I prefer someone who is really really dumb and unintelligent.

For what? If your friends make rape jokes or small dick jokes about others tell them it's not cool and to cut it out. If they cheat tell them it's not okay, if they assault women in the club or don't take no for an answer tell them to stop. That's about where the responsibility ends, and yes I would tell my female friends the same and let them know when they were being assholes.

I think it's foolish too to want to please every woman but a lot of people here are so angry that there are more attractive men than them who do in fact please lots of women and get lots of women, when it's just a fact of life. I know plenty of girls who are pretty shitty people but are super hot so they get any guy they want. It has been like this since like 7th grade - hot people have it way easier. Almost everyone has things that would make them a better partner that are not mean to say, so it's not exactly a lie. But also no, I don't think it's worse to lie than to tell someone they're too ugly for love. But I've never met someone too ugly for love, since lots of ugly people around are in relationships

Yeah that is absolutely a thing and just like the women who fawned over Ted Bundy were; those women are crazy. But I've multiple times in this sub had to defend traits like "spontaneity, authenticity, extraversion, speaking your mind regardless of what other people think" and women who are attracted to those traits, because some guys think that these traits being common in criminals means that any man with them is a bad person and that women shouldn't be attracted to that...

Exactly! That's why I can give advice to my friends who can get a girl but can't keep one (don't be such a negative person, try to be more spontaneous and less rigid etc) but howwwww am I supposed to give advice to these strangers that I can't see and don't know on how to get multiple women to throw themselves at them?? I'm 24 and I've thrown myself at like four men in these 24 years, all of which my own friends almost said they wouldn't touch if they got paid to lol

Hmm no, I'd still suggest spf and retinol on top of lotion, like most dermatologists would. But you are obviously free to not do that
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 06:56 AM
14

Yep, and since even suggesting it here in this sub full of self-proclaimed truth-seers is likely to get a "well, I guess I'll just kms", I think I'll stick to not telling people they're too ugly for love lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 06:50 AM
4

It's a very famously used product, retinol, and studied the hell out of too. You don't need an expensive one, there are plenty of cheaper brands selling it, and it'll truly do wonders for complexion. It made my acne go away and the texture of my skin smoothier, skin looks healthier and more glowy, 10/10. :)

This is what I've found here too. I don't really have a type and have been stupidly attracted to both 5'7 skinny arab guys and 6'+ huge jacked white guys, and they were different in every possible way. Guys here often ask for "what did he say when he approached you, what was his body language like, how much money does he make etc etc etc.", not acknowledging that for most women who have felt attraction to more than one man, it isn't possible to account for every single thing about these men and …

Exactly and telling someone "you're not physically good looking enough for women to be into you, you should try to change that" is fuuuucked uuuuuup if you're not super close to them, and even if you are it's... Not great. And I can't imagine it would be received well either?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 06:34 AM

I really wanna see this movie it seems cute and they are both so pretty
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 07:13 PM

They complain because they want one, yes, not because they need one
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 12:30 PM
2

But he isn't so why does that matter? I was more attracted to the shorter guy and way more "wet for him"
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 12:13 PM
2

Looks span? 5'7 skinny arab men with long curly hair and glasses to 6'+ short hair blond superjacked white guys. (I am 5'7 myself) Honestly more attracted to the first guy coz his personality was sluttier
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 11:16 AM

I have in fact been that too but I know we are outliers lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 09:33 AM

What, talking to them?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 09:32 AM

Not needing men as romantic partners for a satisfying life is what those people refer to, which you know? And most women are very open about wanting a man and a romantic companion, a family, a life built with someone. Unless you're being obtuse on purpose?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 09:26 AM
1

Absolutely, but good looks for me is not exclusively "taller than me, huge shoulders and muscles, giga chad face", so I wouldn't go for a player who looks like that when my looks span is pretty big
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 09:22 AM
3

I know hahah, I was being sarcastic since it felt like the guy I replied to implied that only men don't like when their partners have slept with others before lol and many women also don't like their men to have done that
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 09:21 AM

I only know one shorter guy, 5'7 (live in a tall country), and he also has a girlfriend and used to sleep around plenty before :')
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 07:42 AM

Wow what an insult, "the only person who would have sex with you is mentally ill"

Spontaneously wet? Like by looking at them? I think about 1 woman in 7 billion has experienced that
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 07:38 AM

Hard pass, if a woman wants marriage or a long term relationship she wants a man who she clicks with in all the ways, not just attraction. If Chad likes to sleep around famously, I'm not gonna date him and delude myself into thinking he's "high value" for marriage. High value for hooking up, sure
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 07:29 AM

Sounds like it mostly attracts a guy who focuses a lot on boobs, which doesn't guarantee him also focusing on personality and commitment

... Men were also the ones who set those laws in the first place and you said it yourself, men are the ones who would "block the road and decide to do illegal and immoral things". Men are not a monoloth, not all men are evil, nor are all women good, most people just are average. Should individual women start having sex with random men they're not into because other random men build infrastructure? Or stop having sex with all men because some random men are criminals? What is your deal? I am grea…

/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 07:14 AM

Yes because for women to like a man's exterior, it needs to be attractive to her. But the guys my friends find attractive are not guys I find attractive. They look very different, but we all think the people we like are attractive.

Choice feminism. BOOOOOOH. Hiss. It is so embarrassing to act like women being housewives or making choices that opress themselves somehow helps women and men become more equal just because "a woman made a choice to do so, i.e it's feminist". A woman isn't exactly contributing to the feminist cause by voting for Donald Trump, even though that absolutely is her choice.

I'm a really nice person and I'm not trampled. I only surround myself with nice people who are not getting trampled. I know one asshole who is getting it going for himself super well, and he knows just how to manipulate a crowd and get almost anyone to like him, and is extremely handsome. He is one of very few. A lot of other assholes have nothing going for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 04:20 PM

True, I'd say that, that dating can be very unfair but that I personally believe there's someone for everyone - just at different times.

I totally feel like it’s the opposite This rigid holding onto your partner and fear of being alone that seems to have permeated into everyone to me is a lot worse. Controlling behaviour, people trying to police their partner’s fantasies, following on social media or friend group is psychotic. The lack of trust in others is more harmful to relationships than the club scene or having a coffee with an ex.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/25 04:31 PM

Very weird post for a group of people who love to preach women taking accountability and how we should be more self-aware lol.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 07:40 PM

Okay cool so do that then? Why make a whole post complaining about something you're not even gonna take part in... There are plenty of women who will sleep with dudes early and then turn that into relationships, unless that's a country-specific thing
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 07:22 PM
1

What the fuck does it matter??? Go on formal dates for relationships, go on informal dates to get laid!! Formal dates are to see if the person is good enough to be a partner, informal dates are just to see of they're good enough to sleep with. Why does it matter if women hooked up with someone they just wanted to sleep with, jesus. If you want someone who doesn't do casual sex just be upfront about that on the first dates, and show that compatibility in that area is important to you. I've never …
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 07:15 PM

You aren't? Lol it seems like you're pretty clear on what you want so just be honest about that. Most people on tinder would want some sex I'm sure so just be open about it lol
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 07:10 PM
3

Have you used tinder yet or is this like a dreamed up scenario? If you have any dating app you can out what you're looking for on literally all of them, so just put casual relationship or casual sex. When you ask women out on dates don't suggest dates that are a whole financial investment, like suggest a coffee date or something cheap. The girls who also want something casual will probably be happy to get laid without too much investment.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 07:07 PM
8

So what are you complaining about then? Don't date the women who demand dinner before sex, just be upfront that you only want that? Or don't take women out on expensive dates, do a coffee date and a walk or split the bill or something
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:59 PM
7

Yeah no one wants to fuck a liar, just don't ask women on dates and be honest and upfront about wanting casual - you will quickly weed out the women who want more.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:55 PM
1

Me personally I’m scared of white business men lol, I always feel like they have an ass kink going on that I am not ready for hahah
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:16 PM
1

No? It’s more just whoever is attractive and fun enough to have sex with, not checking off a bucket list of different looks and stuff. Sometimes the hot guy is short with long curly hair and other times he’s tall and muscular with a buzzcut, as long as he’s got some charisma and flirt. However, when I’ve found myself with those people it was because they were just hot and available, not because I was looking for a series of physical attributes.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:14 PM
7

Okay, so then some women think dinner is bare minimum for sex and other women don’t and will have sex without the guy buying her dinner first. Is that your claim in the post? Because yes, that would probably be true lol
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:10 PM
2

Damn good question, I’ve definitely been the one to tell my friends some guy is hot, only to realize I was just horny. Guess both men and women can be desperate to get laid or for someone to like you lol
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:08 PM
13

I’m gonna play a card that is tossed around here all the time. ”Most likely the demographic you’re using as an example is not the same demographic as those who say that thing”. I have slept with multiple guys without a ”need” for it other than they turned me on and I was into them, and I never demanded to be paid for on a date. The hottest guys I’ve met didn’t treat me or other women better than the less hot guys, they were just more fun to be around
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:05 PM

WOOOOOOOOW you are meaaaan! I have never felt used for sex! I was speaking in broad terms to show that I can understand how some people do feel that way - sympathy, which you should maybe try to have for others? I have had sex on the second date with multiple people yes, and I did not do it ”in hopes of getting a relationship with them”, I did it because I wanted to, and they wanted to, and we did get into a relationship after because we liked eachother. It has never not worked for me, and the f…

You have no idea if the relationship will even get to that point on the first date though? And there's no guarantee that the man will not be stingy with money, affection, whatever just because he paid on a first date. I don't think men should feel perfectly comfortable asking such a huge things of their wives, I think they should carry a ton of responsibility during pregnancy and after, but to ask that of a stranger that you don't know is just crazy to me. What is he going to demand of you then …
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 03:39 PM

Absolutely, but that should be "weighed up for" by your partner who you have the kids with. Not preemptively done by or expected of men you're going on first dates with. This type of thinking sounds like "individual men should be paying their way to forgiveness for the damage the patriarchy has done to women" and I find it so weird. I don't want kids, and am 100% fine with splitting the bill. Should I still expect men to pay on first dates for me because women in general have such a hard time in…

Exactly. I'm into dudes of all kinds (tall, short, long hair, short hair, white, arab, built, skinny) and every time I bring that up it's insinuated that I'm a liar lol. And bringing up all the ugly couples I see outside is a one way ticket to "they're not actually into each other they're just settling"-town

"the truth" this woman admitted what she thinks, she isn't a representative of womenkind lol. Clearly lots of women in this thread claim the opposite

You shouldn’t date men that demand those things from you then… like this reasoning is so stupid and I hate it. You choosing to put makeup on, choosing to dress up, working while taking care of everything in the house etc. and then demanding random dudes ”pay the price” by being high earners is so fucking bat shit sheep-like. I’m a woman who is a pretty annoying feminist, and I don’t want kids, ever. I know how much women struggle in pregnancy, after etc but that’s up to the men they date and mar…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 08:56 AM
1

Maybe, but that again would mean they’re less open to it since it takes a lot more fulfilled conditions for women to be interested in it. I know my own interest in casual sex is built on: how much time of day I have, how hot the person is, how interesting they are, how nice their personality is, the perfect balance between liking eachother enough to be turned on by their personality and be able to have conversation to get in the mood - while still not being compatible for an actual relationship.…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 08:34 AM

Yes of course. I show basic politeness to everyone but I behave as if I’m attracted to the people I’m attracted to, and probably behave more flirty because I want them to also find me attractive. But I don’t think people checking me out is creepy just because they’re not attracted to me, but I probably don’t notice it

That sounds really nice honestly :( maybe things are weirder now, but yeah at least online I feel like we've regressed far in terms of sexual liberation for both men and women. Young people are iterating this like "he/she is a bop, anyone who has sex outside of relationships is yucky" stuff and it feels so wrong? Hearing grown adults saying that those of us who have had casual sex can't commit or can't feel love for one person only is so stupid... How did you meet this FWB then and when was it? …
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 07:26 PM

You are so real. I've been thinking about getting into that but honestly? I just want attention and validation from someone I know, and like, but am fundamentally incompatible with for a relationship - so that I can enjoy sex with them without falling for them. And there's literally nothing casual about that lol
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 05:31 PM

That sucks a lot :( but that is 100% his issue, and most likely not because of anything wrong with you. Some people will never put that effort in regardless of who it is for

Absolutely, we should all strive to accept our average labels a little more. Seeing as everyone has something special about them
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 05:08 PM

Wow, that's pretty surprising. I'm not american, far from it, but have been the one to ask out majority of the guys I've dated. It's only now having just turned 24 that I've been asked out more times than I've asked, and I always plan a kickass date😎. Waiting around for people is boring, I guess those women will be complaining about how they can't find a fun guy until they change it up
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 05:06 PM

Does anyone want to be average? Everyone wants to be special, extra etc. Like half the posts in this sub are about guys who are 100% sure they will explode if they're not the best sex their girlfriends ever had... Surely they wouldn't be happy being called average either lol

You don't have to date people like that? All my dates and all the dates of the women I know have been both people planning, initiating, paying, keeping touch etc. Maybe it's a country thing but I highly doubt all women who date are just sitting on their asses and waiting for some guy to orchestrate a whole entertainment. Lots of women who actually want to meet someone are making effort

You really shouldn't tag this as a debate when it isn't and you're just gonna regurgitate how materialistic and awful you think women are. Most women are not with their partners because of their money and are attracted to other things, for one, and being attracted to someone for their resources doesn't make them the prize. Men are attracted to women for sex, affection, company, validation, etc all the time. Those are all resources and could make women the prize, especially since women having mon…

Men bring more in carrying conversations? I've had plenty of lovely conversations with men, but in a majority of cases it's absolutely the women around me who carry the conversations. Most women in the west work and more women are studying at university, i.e they have their own careers and money and don't technically need men for that. Men and women both want each other for long term relationships, and as humans we're all equally the price
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 08:05 AM

I mean if you're having sex with someone because you like them, want to be intimate with them, see a relationship w them, and wanna sleep with them - and you assume you're on the same page as they are only to find out they had no intention to do the same, but just told you that they did so they would get laid... I think that would feel like being used
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 11:09 PM

I don't think this is true, for one, and it's also impossible to prove. What convenience do you want? Money? Childcare? Sex? Convenient affection/company? These are all things we all want and you will not find out easily who married for what, since people who married for things other than love will likely not be truthful about it - because that's a bit embarrassing to say the least

You both choose so long as you can both walk away from the relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/25 10:18 AM

And? Men can be for the sexual liberation of women and still not want to date or sleep with promiscuous women. For men to break free from gender roles like "don't always be tough, but it's okay to show emotion and be vulnerable" would benefit the mental health of men and relieve some of the pressure they feel as a collective to be strong and not complain. We should abandon gender roles for the greater good and happiness of the collective, not to get men and women laid
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/25 09:52 AM

For those of us who date men? We like the men we're dating as people, this can not be a surprise to you?

Same! Just like I like specific women and am neutral about the rest of humans
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/25 09:13 AM

1000%. I've met plenty of physically conventionally gorgeous men that I wouldn't touch even if I got paid for it, because they were awful people with terrible personalities. I've also met conventionally not physically attractive (short guys with long hair and glasses) men, that I honestly would pray to the universe that I would get a chance to lick even the toes of. Because these people were flirty, funny, confident, social, interested in other people and hot and sexy!

I mean I'm about two inches above average (for women) and I'm 5'7, and yeah most guys are taller than me hahah - but I did see a guy like 4 inches shorter than me in passing today that did look swedish :)

Okay so what if he's not the best? If she never tells him (which she won't) then he'll never know and if they have great sex they will both enjoy it and be happy. How does the potential scenario that she had better sex before then affect him? He can not know, and she chose him for a multide of reasons - good at sex included. Your forever partner does not need to be the best you ever had as long as you love sex with them and enjoy it

I don't understand. I (a woman) always split the bill on dates and when I've slept with guys on the second date let's say, it's always been because I'm attracted to them and because I want to. Why don't you just also do that? Or if you suspect they only want sex from you and you want more, why don't you wait until you meet someone who also wants commitment or until you see signs that this guy wants to commit?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/25 08:00 AM

Exactly! I think some dudes here only notice those traits in people who are abrasive and assholish, not in people who are nice, and then come to the conclusion that behaving like that is too scary for them so they start smearing everyone who does. I've met plenty of people with those personality traits, hell I have a lot of them, and only about one of those people I'd actually classify as a bad person.

Thank you! I've been back and forth on this for a long time with people here. Being authentic, or unapologetic, extroverted, honest, taking up space and flirting even when you risk doing it with someone who isn't into it are just traits. They alone don't make someone a bad person, and so many dudes on here seem to think that "yes, yes they do. Bad people do those things so anyone who does those things is a bad person". If he is completely physically repulsive to me, no amount of money could make him attractive. If he's neutral attraction-wise but has enough money to pay every time we go out or buy us nice vacations it would make him slightly more attractive, but not enough that it would make up for bad looks/personality - and I'm not a very materialistic person so I don't really care about that. Honestly yeah this is the most realistic solution. Although for me personally and most of my friends (25 ish year olds) it's not STDs or pregnancy that keeps us from doing it more often, but the risk of just bad and unsatisfactory sex with potentially a guy that is disrespectful or dangerous. And I feel like teaching people how to be a good lover to people they will not be forming a bond or relationship with will be hard to do and harder to motivate lol

I'm a woman who has no interest in fairness in this case. But I've lately interacted with commenters who complain about how unfair it is that only a select few men get to experience casual sex, and say that this gap should be evened out so it's not just the average woman who can engage in casual sex. For that reason I am curious about what their realistic or implementable solutions are to "fix" this.

Has there been a study done on "amount of pussy school shooters get"
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 03:27 PM

Oh I share her opinion, that would not happen. We would not have casual sex. Mostly because approaching someone like that for casual sex is psychotic lol, which is why she specified first sentence "be a trustworthy acquaintance" not some rando on the street. But yeah no even if my friend did that it would not happen unless he was attractive to me
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 02:53 PM

In response to this woman commenting you said "Never ask a fish how to catch fish, ask the fisherman" - I'm assuming you mean don't ask women how to get women, ask men. The OP specifically asked for women's opinions so your comment doesn't make sense, as he in this situation indeed did ask the fish how to catch fish. Let the fish speak

No? Plenty of school shooters, mass murderers etc. did not have nice outgoing personalities or were weird, introverted, asocial. You can be respectful of others while still being unapologetically you and being outgoing, flirtatious or approaching others. Those are not traits that only a bad person can posess, and again, if you started acting this way I don't think you should call it "acting like a bad person" since they're not harmful or disrespectful behaviours.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 02:25 PM

As a woman leaning slutty who generally agrees with your comments, I lol'd

But did you call your wife a bitch and threaten to beat her? Or become more criminal? Or did you just take up more space, be less apologetic, take more chances and be more openly into her? A lot of these comments I feel equate being a bad person to being offensive in terms of being more approaching, taking initiative, being loud/making jokes that not everyone would love. This to me is not a bad person, it's just someone who is authentic and doesn't care if others get offended, which I'm sure lot…

Most women are probably unaware of the red pill ideology though? It's a fairly online thing, and usually adopted and discussed by men, not women. So most women wouldn't use it to justify their own behaviours, since they're not aware of how the red pill talks about them

Let's say this is reality: If the average man wants casual sex and the average woman does not - then let's say 90% of men will do it, and 10% of women will - then those women will get to pick put of so many men and choose the men that they're so stupidly attracted to that the risk of getting pregnant, an STI, raped etc. is worth it - i.e the hottest dude. What do you think the solution is to "make it fair for the average man"? What do you propose? How should society change to make the sexual exc…

I've not changed my position much but I have become more empathetic towards male struggle in dating, and more aware of this lie that "women don't care what you look like as long as you're nice" that is allegedly spread.

You kinda still should tho... if my friend who I think is great never ever gets asked out, approached, has never been in a relationship or even had a chance at one, I still expect her to treat men around us well and not be a raging bitch to them. Sex/romance are not, or should not, be the condition you need fulfilled from the opposite sex to treat them nicely and as people.

It's really the best, you can pick out the hot people you want! The only downside is the quick realization that quite a few hot people are pretty boring :')

I've never heard that? Plus, I feel like a lot of guys are not as unsuccessful in dating as they seem on here, and depending on who it is you're approaching you might go for some hotties - in which case they are less likely to have never had a woman be into them. In either case, going on a date and feeling out the vibe of the guy is the best way to see if he's desperate :)

I feel like this has been posted before and was equally disliked then? As a woman who often makes the first move, being a woman is as much as a passive "setting up a trap" as you want it to be. (In my case, not at all, I'm never approached by anyone in public so this is either a shit trap or just not how the world works lol). I feel like this is true, and while I do recognize that men are absolutely generally expected to be more active in dating/approaching, asocial men and women will have more odd interactions because asocial people are harder to read, harder to get close to, harder to interact with in general than very social people.

Nope, there's something eerie about dating a robot regardless of how human it seems. Like eating human meat, even if it was lab grown and ethical it would feel wrong.

Of course muscles are attractive but it's not the only thing. You don't need every hot quality to be hot, like being short is a non-issue if you have a nice face and are charming (to me, and clearly a lot of other women around me who are dating and having sex with men their height).
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 11:23 AM

Exactly. I've worked many a shitty low paying jobs, paid rent, failed classes, made friends, been in long term relationships, been through heartbreak, fallen out with family/friends, looked for apartments, been on exchange and lived in a country where I didn't speak the language, etc etc. There are experiences that, while not exclusive to 18+ year olds, a lot of people haven't had at that point and that change you a lot as a person.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 02:09 PM

Or... it's because a lot of guys (especially on here) really want women to fuck them specifically, but not fuck any other men. So they value women's sexuality highly, as long as she only shares it with him.

You have to be open to doing what therapists suggest for it to work, just like you have to be open to doing the physiotherapy a doctor recommends you - just going to one is not enough. What is your solution to the difference in acceptance in women’s standards? Women call out other women for their hypocritical standards? Men do it and don’t ”reward” hypocritical women with their time, money and penises?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/25 05:19 PM
1

… no because people often say that women’s standards are too high (1) and (2) women outside of the internet often date men who are within their own league both looks and height-wise as you can see by looking around you at couples on the streets. If their standards were accepted, people wouldn’t be complaining about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/25 05:17 PM
2

I agree, it is weird when there’s a huge difference and women completely exclude guys who aren’t a foot taller than them, but OP keeps bringing up ”women wanting to date taller men when they’re short themselves” as an argument to call women hypocritical, as if men need to have wide hips and big tits to want a woman with those things lol
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/25 05:16 PM
2

Yeah and that’s stupid. Except that everyone prefers successful people, men and women both, but men on average are higher earners and have lower standards for attraction to women so it’s easier for women to get. But the ”women wanting tall men but not being tall themselves is dumb and unfair” thing is just… looking past biology. I’d say most men would prefer and are attracted to a woman with some hips and boobs but it’s not like the guys themselves need to have wide hips to desire that in a woma…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/25 05:13 PM

Which social phenomena is that? Easier access to more people, i.e a wider pool to choose from and compare to, than before dating apps when you had to settle for dating someone withthin your friend/social circle?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/25 11:20 AM

In other news, I tried windsurfing twice this week and I really recommend it if you're in a place with nice weather!
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/25 09:16 AM

I'm still pissed that there's not been a realistic and implementable solution suggested to the "women are only attracted to 20% of men" thing because what do the complainers want women to do about it? Date men they don't find sexually appealing out of pity? Genuinely?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/25 09:09 AM

That deep craving you're talking about is called being horny. Wanting deep bonds with other people is something you can receive via parents, siblings, family and friends. Wanting affection can be satisfied through hugging family, friends, getting a massage, a pet. Is it different to getting it from someone you're also having a romantic connection to? Yes. Will you die without a romantic connection? No. The specific desire for a woman to enjoy your penis is not a need. You can call it whatever yo…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/25 05:49 AM

And considering how so many guys on here bring up that male friendships are less deep than female ones, for example, because men simply prefer it that way both biologically and socially - I feel like men would be way better equipped at dealing with the treatment she received than women would. As a woman who always had very close friendships with other women, having my friends act towards me the way I see the guys around me act towards one another would probably also make me depressed.

Even at 25 years old 18 year olds are kids to me! I’m in my last year of uni and the new people who just started their first years have done nothing yet in their lives which is what it should be like. /r/PurplePillDebate17/08/25 07:30 AM

They're better at that because they're hot, most likely also reckless about showing their interest and flirting etc. and not good enough for a long term relationship. There are plenty of objectively good looking men who are so boring, unflirtatious, unenticing and dull that women don't want sex with them. Yeah because based on this sub a lot of the male loneliness is "no one wants to sleep with me". Of course feeling lonely without a partner is one thing but if you're lonely and there's anything you can receive from a romantic partner that would make you feel less lonely (emotional support, someone to give a new perspective, a hug or listening ear, company etc.) then I would start with trying to get that from your friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 06:34 AM

Yes? I feel like you're misreading me on purpose, there doesn't need to be anything more to it but that's just what it is. And here you have hundreds of dudes arguing that insecurity is actually not the reason for why they don't want to be with the girl who has slept around - but that it's actually insert reason that absolutely is insecurity. Source?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 05:55 AM

Of course not but the point of the OP was literally just that some preferences are out of insecurity and avoiding triggering said insecurity, and that people deny it? I have my own insecurities for why I have certain preferences and I can still agree with the OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 05:49 AM

Yes, but claiming that the reason you don’t want a woman who has been with many men is not because of insecurity, is stupid when can just go ”yeah it’s because I’m insecure”. I’m sure plenty of men don’t want their partner to have slept around because they themselves didn’t do that and they want to have a shared view of sex and its sacrality - but I’m also sure plenty of men want a virgin partner because they’re terrified of being compared to her past lovers and being seen as worse in bed.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 06:01 PM

Oh they don’t need to overlap at all. Being attractive can be anything from being spontaneous, outgoing, risk-taking, warm, comforting, physically fit and hot, confident, mysterious, funny, inviting etc etc. Being a good partner is being loyal, being empathetic, generous, committed, caring, uplifting, efficient, communicative etc. You can have any combination of those traits - lots of hot people are terrible partners, lots are great partners and hot to someone else but not to me, or both a good …

Men and women both and equally, put up with bad unattractive behaviour to be with otherwise hot people. I'd argue men do it more if anything since a higher libido would entail putting up w more bs for a chance to fuck

We all lust over other people, or most do, unless you're on the "when I'm in a relationship I don't notice anyone other than my partner". But men as grown adults are responsible for their own behaviour and shouldn't be so shit. And especially for their kids’ sakes! Why are some dads so blatantly uncaring about things that regard their kid’s lives? Why do you not know their teacher’s name? The child must have said it a million times in conversation, and surely you’ve spoken to them before. Why don’t some dudes know the names of their children’s best friends, their own child’s birthday, their kids’ allergies, likes and dislikes etc?…

Can you imagine though the commotion if there actually is something seriously wrong with the child and they die or get lifelong consequences of their sickness, and the woman didn’t take the kid to the hospital? Children are pretty fragile in general, and I’d argue society looks down a lot more on women who put their kids at risk than they do men.

Literally. My cousins called my aunt at 2 pm when she was out to lunch with my mom (for the first time in 6 months), because they were bored and hungry and their dad was still sleeping. At 2. The youngest is like 9, and the man does not work a night shift. Get up and take care of your kids.

The children of single mothers have horrible track-records in life. The children who were abandoned by their fathers you mean? Yes, that does leave a bad impression on a child. Besides that, seeing as the single parent is the one who stays and knows that no one else will be there to pick up the slack for them, I don’t believe single parents neglect their children unless the parent is somehow ill. Men and women should both, in my opinion, go above and beyond for their children. Kids are a thing y…

I see, I thought you meant dating as in a relationship. Yeah I'd be casual with someone I don't see a future with who is also involved with other people, but at that point I'd call myself single
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/25 10:43 AM
11

This is one of the main reasons why I will not be having kids lol. The men who truly seem to want kids with all the responsibility it comes with are few and far in between, and even those who are so positive about it seem to quickly let their wife take all the resonsibility on her own. Hard pass!
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/25 07:36 AM

No, women don't want to be in a relationship with a man who is dating other women i.e cheating. Dating in the beginning I'm sure is fine
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 10:42 AM
5

Yeah so they think they can change him hahah, that's dumb but sure. Some people are like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 09:19 AM

I've asked you like three times now, would men want to date a woman who doesn't find him sexually attractive? Yeah of course women complain when men say they're monogamous to them and then turns out they're dating multiple women, but just because you're a hot guy doesn't mean you're a cheater or a player - as there are plenty of hot men who want a relationship with just one woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 09:18 AM
2

No they probably downloaded the app because they're curious about what people are saying on it lol, as it is widely talked about. Like if a celebrity gossip app was created you best believe people would download it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 09:15 AM
-1

Are the women he dates looking for a relationship though? Or just want to fuck him/looking for a fling or something? Because in that case, monogamy isn't really the nr one priority especially if he is hot enough
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 09:11 AM
7

You're not more virtuous than women because you find more women fuckable like what? And I didn't contradict myself - I want to date a man I'm attracted to. I'm mostly attracted to short men with long hair, when looking at my past dating history, so I don't need a Chad. But I do want to be attracted to who I'm dating, and I do not believe for a second men want to be with a woman who doesn't find them attractive physically - which is what you're asking of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 09:10 AM
9

Exactly! Good answer. My answer would be the exact same for a woman who is too much of a people pleaser.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 08:47 AM

That and - why is it that women are to blame for a group of dudes who date multiple women simultaneoulsy without telling them? Apps like that, while stupid, just seem to contain women who are surprised at finding out they dated the same guy, not women who willingly date the same man as other women at the same time
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 08:46 AM
4

I mean yeah, they could. I wouldn't recommend it, because I wouldn't want a sexless relationship, but would most men want to date a woman who isn't attracted to them?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 08:28 AM
7

I'm not american, first of all lol, and second I don't know any women who are dating men they know are dating other women. And if that's the case then it's on the dudes who are then cheaters and are dating multiple women without informing the women of that. And there's no proof of women dating the same guy? And again - if they are, they're most likely not doing so willingy and knowingly...
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 08:12 AM

Yeah, well is that surprising? Even biologically it makes sense for women to not have lower standards for who they would fuck since men have like 10-60x the testosterone of women and are infinitely more horny...

The more attractive anyone is the more lenient everyone else is with them, and that goes for the whole world in pretty much every situation.

Yeah of course it's a lie, though personally it's a lie that I never hear repeated in real life. Why has it been accepted as the truth though? How would personality matter more when you can't see it at first, and obviously it does matter more in a relationship since being hot just gets you a date while personality gets the person to want to stay.

Less money in his pocket? For me, a man paying for a date gets him no different treatment than if he didn't pay. I'd think it was nice of him, or depending on the vibe I might get worried he now sees our date as transactional and expects more than what is usual for a date, and then the date would proceed as usual. Hence why I don't usually "let" men pay on a first date. In my experience it doesn't prove the person will be generous with money when actually in a relationship, and I would prefer we…

Love this question. The two men I've been most attracted to in my life have been completely unconventionally attractive - shorter than me, not muscular, curly long hair below their shoulders. I agree with you, and I think this view is healthy (and normal probably outside of the internet), but on here I see a lot of posts about how if a woman isn't immediately dripping wet at your physical attraction you should move on because "she will always be fantasizing about the Chads from her past". It's unfortunate.

I didn't call it that, people use lizard brain as a metaphor for the biological urges we have that drive us to act in ways we can pretty much attribute to a very base level animal instinct. Wanting to eat fatty and carby or sweet foods, getting adrenaline rushes of fear, seeking out dopamine, biological drive to procreate with people who fit their typical "sexual dimorphism" well - aka women with small waist, wide hips, big boobs or men with body hair, wide shoulders, slender hips etc. Surely yo…

Never. Hookups were because the guy was hot, and I wanted to have sex with him. I've never wanted a relationship with someone I hooked up with, and I'm not a manipulative schemer so I didn't do it to get something else from them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/25 06:16 PM

Okay but... you don't want that - you want a hookup. Or casual sex. And they want a relationship, which you know you don't want, but you keep spending time with them anyway - similarily to how one would when they want a relationship - and it's on them to not want a relationship with you?

Physical appearance wise, without talking to him a guy is either hot, not/neutral or I can't tell (very rare category). Then with people I talk with they can become attractive based on their personality/how they act even if they were sort of neutral before, and they can become unattractive based on personality/how they act even if they were hot before.

Same :) I always approach because I'm never approached, and when I give it as a suggestion to friends who struggle in dating they always say it's too scary and they're too scared of getting rejected. So men and women don't approach for the same reason probably. On top of the men and women who just don't approach because they think the other person should do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 10:54 AM

Sure, but I also don't hear it anywhere on social media whenever I'm on it, except for in this forum. So I'm not constantly hearing about it was my point
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 10:51 AM

Agree. Some people it just doesn't feel good with and it's not just in the moves, it's more. The vibe, the rythm, how much you can get into it. It's not just attraction and moves, there's something else but I guess it's hard to put words on.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 09:06 AM

I don't hear it anywhere except on this forum actually. The guys around me who are single date a bit and it seems to be going well apart from the general difficulty that is finding someone you're compatible with, I don't use instagram that much and my algorithm is more food and fashion/crafts based, and that's the extent of my hearing of this. Huh? I've never seen that happen, and it seems like divorced men more often kill themselves than divorced women. So why would this be true? Women generally have closer and more friends that they can rely on after a breakup. Not saying women can't go that route but the women I've seen get dumped definitely ended up growing as people and getting into better relationships afterwards.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/25 01:57 PM

Yeah of course! And for him it probably feels super exciting, but because I don't share the excitement or interest in the hobby at all (and because I don't like eating animals) the first thing I see is a dead animal and the second, if I try to think about it from a different pov, is excitement over the hobby.

Sure, but when both parents work it's a bit odd for either of them to leave the other parent alone with the kids for one of the two weekend days if it's as often as every week. I totally see if it's every once in a while, but if it's often I see why women wouldn't like that.

Science has proven time and time again that you can get all necessary nutrients on a plant based diet, with only one supplement needed - B12. Seeing as B12 is supplemented to livestock too since soil is often depleted of it, I don't see the issue with just eating the supplement yourself.

You didn't say in general, you said no woman would ever do that. Of course women don't generally propose, both men and women uphold the notion that men should propose. But there are still women who do propose.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 10:26 AM

None of my friends date the type of men OP described either, so I can say women also actually have taste and aren't into cookiecutter people. I doubt your friends would turn down the chance to hookup with a blonde model with curves though, regardless of what they say their type is.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 09:26 AM

So men who like fat women would turn down a chance to hook up with a model hot skinny girl? Get real. Everyone likes hot people.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 09:25 AM

Okay so then we agree, women want tall dark and handsome for flings and hookups just like men want slutty, curvy and bubbly for their flings and hookups. Because these people are hot and have no other defining traits like personality, values etc. needed, but for long term relationships men and women both prioritize other things as long as they themselves are attracted to their partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 09:24 AM

Ah but you see, men only like women with huge asses and boobs - just take a look at porn! That will tell you what all men want! I'm gonna throw up this is so stupid. Who would have guessed attractive people are considered attractive, and woah also who would have guessed people still date other people than those that are 6'5, have millions, and have huge boobs.

Yuuuuup, there's nothing more abundantly clear on this sub than the message that "women should never have been with someone they found more attractive than their current partner". How are they supposed to do that by dating men they find "somewhat attractive", what man would want that
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 04:54 PM

I'm not, and my friends are not. And no other women I've met or engaged with have hated short or bald men or insinuated they are unattractive. You just did though :/ and I've heard lots of other men on here make the same claims. It sounds like you guys are not as supportive of other men as you think.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 07:59 PM

Wow, that's such a hateful view of other men. I don't think that negatively about other women, unless they're terrible people. Maybe you should work on that. Of course both short and bald men are capable of being attractive and wonderful partners to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 07:56 PM

Do you believe bald or short men are unattractive and unlovable?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 07:50 PM

Nope, you asked if my friends' relationships are all the same and I told you they all have in common that they're long term, both partners attracted to and love eachother. Other than that there are tons of differences. :)

Some men also like chubby women but wouldn't turn the chance to date a model away

/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 02:44 PM

Do you mean the same in that they're all happy, long term relationships wherein both parties love and are attracted to each other? If so yes, they're the same and the men are being treated the same
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 02:39 PM
1

Yeah by looking at the women around me and the men they're in long term relationships with, they look extremely different - tall, short, white, black, hair, no hair etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 02:10 PM

Nope, being with a man I'm attracted to and mesh with his personality is not settling - being with someone I'm not attracted to whose personality I like would be, but I would never do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 01:38 PM

If she is happy getting gifts only on her birthday once a month I don't think she'd care. If she wants it more then, well yeah. As long as a man ticks my boxes and I feel like he loves me, cares for me, is excited about me I don't care what stuff he did for his exes.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 12:27 PM

Yeah the people in this sub are not happy lol and are bitter that they didn't have one night stands in their 20s. It's abundantly clear how angry lots of men here are at women for having had sexual experiences with men the guys themselves are jealous of. I got told I'm whorish and unattractive here because I am usually the first to ask guys out, and then the person thought it was confirmed (that men do in fact think I'm whorish) by the fact that I haven't been proposed to yet by any of the men I…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 12:18 PM

All true. Whining about how women "settle for men they aren't as attracted to as the chads they fucked in their youth" and simultaneously whining that women want to date hot men - we can not win lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 12:14 PM

I mean "the game" is just wanting to be attracted to the man I'm dating. No man ever would settle for a woman he isn't attracted to so why would I or any other woman do that?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 12:12 PM

Very true, being just hot and nothing else is more appealing to men than to women. As a dude you generally need more substance to have success with women

The photos are not professionally taken, they're just taken to highlight the good things and to look good. So many guys use selfies that seem like they didn't even try on their profiles, which is baffling to me because why wouldn't you want photos where you look your best rather than a from-below angled selfie of you at work?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 07:17 AM

It can for sure, but in general selfies where you know you look hot seems more arrogant than if someone else took the photo

This guy gets it. Gym selfie flexing shirtless feels self obsessed and shallow, beach volley photo feels like a carefree and social guy who "just happens to be hot" even if it's the same guy in the photos. Dating apps are all about marketing yall

I'm sorry if you thought it was something else but what did you think it was that makes people hook up? Being hot and flirty, being non-threatening and available are the non-negotiables in an encounter where you don't find out anything about their personality or values, and it's based on literal reproductive biology lust. If you're known for being good in bed that might make women curious enough to look past looks. But I'm almost 100% sure men's view of hot and women's are not the same, based on…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 05:45 AM

Yeah, on this sub especially the general sexlesness (this is what it seems like) makes some people think women only choose their partners based on hotness and willingness to date. Not personality compatibility, shared interests, dreams, goals, values, experiences, fun, humor, family dynamics etc etc etc. Makes me really worried about what the dudes actually think about their girlfriends and why they chose them...
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 09:37 PM
17

For sure. In my own experience and from talking to my friends about it it seems like more men want to turn the hookup into something serious than the other way around. My friends who do have casual sex are pretty clear on the personality incompatibilities they have with their hookups, and don't usually want more than sex from them.

No I don't, with both my ex and my current boyfriend we fucked on the second date and I dated both of those guys for years hahah, but I see your point. I however also think it's reasonable to want to take it slower when you're looking for a relationship both for men and women. Sex does increase the feelings of closeness and affection, even when there's not a lot of actual compatibility there and when you're looking for a serious relationship, you may want to hold off on sex during the first whil…

What a huge cope for women not wanting to sleep with men they're not attracted to! Maybe it feels like a reward to you but it's not given out out of pity or as a reward for behaviour, people just wanna fuck other people and get fucked lol

I've never heard anyone claim they were more attracted to their past hookups than their romantic partners, so until there's proof of that I will stay doubtful. But I wouldn't be too surprised honestly, the risks of casual sex for women are huge - assault, unwanted pregnancy, STDs, plus the high risk that the sex will be less than great you kinda have to be stupidly horny for the person to get over those things. And seeing as the whole driving force of the encounter is physical attraction and you…

Women are attracted to hot people, as are men. I never cried about women being attracted to hot assholes but a hot person can be physically attractive in spite of having a bad personality, they're not mutually exclusive. I never said sexual attraction is only based on personality, and yes it is a lie that needs to die hard that women will fuck you as long as you're nice - women want to fuck hot people, just like men do. But some women do care more about personality, as evident by going outside a…

The issue with this mindset, that women shouldn't want to sleep with hot assholes because they'd be "rewarding them with pussy" when that's not how it works at all. Sex isn't a reward you give people, it's an act you take part in/experience you share and in a hookup you give to each other just as much as you take.

Is he hot enough for a hookup? Hookup. Is he hot enough for a hookup and also a nice person to be around who shares values, goals, and hopefully interests that I actually enjoy talking to and spending time with? Relationship. ETA: for a hookup he has to be flirty/somewhat more uninhibited or social. A shy hot guy is not gonna be as attractive for a hookup as a loud, outgoing hot guy.

I didn't even say you can't try - people can be attracted to you without giving a sign, so go ahead ask out whoever you want. But people do generally want to be asked out by those they're attracted to, doesn't mean they're offended if someone they're not attracted to tries, jesus.

Yeah it did because everyone is on it now instead of going outside and experiencing the real world, where in these scenarios OP wrote about happens about 1/100th as often as the internet claims it does.

"not that attracted" doesn't mean you put in more effort. I can find a gorgeous man hot as shit and still just wanna be fucked and not care if he gets off or not as long as I get mine, as can and do many other both men and women. I don't, because I'm not a selfish lover, but if I did it wouldn't have anything to do with my attraction to the person

I've asked this question a million times and been downvoted for it just as many times. Some people don't have close friendships/relationships with family like that and feel that sexual intimacy enriches their life so much that a romantic relationship adds more to their lives than friendships. Got bored of the conversation/didn't feel that excitement that maybe talking to friends or other guys gives. Sure, but our biology is still prevelant and doesn't change over just a few thousand years. It's the reason men have a higher sex drive and are attracted to more women, it's the reason women are choosier of physical attributes - like every other sexually dimorphic animal on the planet. Expecting people to logic their way out of that is unrealistic.

I didn't say that, but if he finds it impossible to be attracted to anyone other than super models, yet finds physical attraction too important in a relationship to settle then there's not much I can tell him. By looking at the men my friends and acquantainces date, I can confidently say that women are attracted to a wide range of men, most of which are by no means models or the "top 10%".

I don't think women's standards are too high, as long as there are people to meet them. Yes they do. Women, by default of biology, have it easier because men need to throw out a wider net for procreation while women need to be pickier due to the risk and investment of their procreation. Women may find it hard to find a suitable partner, but have an easier time in general getting dates, while many men have a very hard time even getting a first date. "They don't know what they're talking about." Surprising :)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/25 02:55 PM

But then why do we need to call the qualities feminine or masculine if both sexes can be both? There's no need to group them together, and the distinction between work titles is important because they entail different roles, responsibilities etc. that have actual consequences in the workplace. Ik it can be tempting to see things from a traditional lens, but there's really no reason to do so.

To me, buying is worse. Until I see you being forced to do so, you are not a victim if you are buying while people who sell across the world very often are. "Do you blame the drug dealer or the addict" - drug addiction is not chemically or biologically the same as a sex addiction, which most people who buy sex in fact do not have. If they did I would have more sympathy, but as that is not the case, buying is far worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/25 10:18 AM

Because you don't get attention from the opposite sex you see any attention as a privilege, when women explicitly say the sexualization and attention they've received since childhood sucks and they don't want it. And because you haven't lived their experience, and mostly because you are unhappy with your own situation, you can not possible believe they're being truthful.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/25 10:15 AM

If it doesn't matter who does what, why don't we just call the qualities what they are? Nurturing, decisive, emotional, rational, strong leadership, desire to compromise. Why name it masculine or feminine at all if it has nothing to do with gender roles? And eastern philosophy and western psychology both are rife with gendered language

The issue was that people happily assume women are fine dating men they're not attracted to and then get upset when women are in fact not fine with that, but would never assume a man would want to date an unattractive woman. The scale of what is attractive being smaller for women doesn't change that women also want to be attracted to their partners. So what does the scale matter? And it could be attributed to biology just as well

You completely ignored the fact that they're most likely lonely and attracted to women. So when a woman comes along and gives them special attention, they might think they might have a shot with her? I'd argue men and women who watch porn equally contribute to an industry that famously treats its workers quite poorly and adds to the sexualization of women. From a feminist perspective I don't think who watches it matters as much as the outcome - more money and attention to the industry, and a worse view of sex for both men and women. Women too can have their minds hurt by porn and develop bad habits and mindsets around it.

The word love has even more meaning now than ever before since we now choose our partners freely, not based on need for financial stability, based on need for house care or childcare, etc. We pick based on who we like, so love has its true meaning now. So instead of trying to make friends as an adult, they're going to complain about all these reasons that are out of our individual control and claim they are what stops them from just meeting some people at work, through hobbies, through other friends? If that's your mindset, that you are now completely a victim of your social circumstances, yes it will be hard to make friends. If they recognize that it might be hard but there are ways to meet people (which there 100% is), and maybe talk more to…

It's not a humiliation ritual, it's just a nerdy guy'd dream of getting the hot girl despite being completely incompatible with her life and really not attractive. Leonard would be hot if he stopped being such an insecure doormat but other than that, the show is completely unrealistic. As it is a show.

That's such bullshit. A man would never date a woman he finds unattractive, yet women are often told to "see past looks and see him for his inside instead", me and all my friends have at some point in our lives. Only dating people you find attractive because you're biologically inclined to spread your genes whenever you can - so you find more people hot, is not "being kinder about appearance", and it's not a virtue either. Looking past appearance would be, which men do not do as literally no man…

Apart from the fact that men are generally more likely to be treated and seen as a threat by the general public, women have social life on easy mode because they make it easy for each other. Every situation I'm in socially - work, school, conferences, parties, gym classes, neighbours, etc. women are talking to each other in one way or another and are open to that. Most men it seems are not open to that, and if they were - social life for men would be easier.

It's not wrong for men to reject women on the basis of their emotional and mental health. It's also not wrong for women to reject men who consider women that have been through hard times, or have had previous sexual experience damaged, and by god I hope they do reject those kind of men. Especially hope the young women do

That is so pathetic, I'm sorry. Allowing yourself to be walked over by someone who doesn't respect your wishes is better to you than living a fulfilling life single with hobbies, interests, work, family and friends? Humans in relationships aren't as easily exchangeable as you think, because we value people with our emotions. If you're in a relationship, you usually like the person and are willing to make some sacrifices to stay with them. The average man can absolutely behave in a way that's hea…

Because women still want to fuck the people they marry, they just also want to deal with their nice personality traits and do both of those things long term? RP presents "alpha fucks beta bucks" as douchy guys get pussy and nice meak men have to pay for everything to keep a woman interested since she just settled for him and doesn't actually want him, when that's not an accurate representation of the world at all.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/25 01:40 AM

Do you think that could be because they are far more famous and have been around for 10+ years, while Sabrina's song literally came out a week ago? Or because the lyrics are more aggressive and violent?

I don't think onlyfans is feminist, it's just more equality-driven because women can choose what they post themselves and they get all the profits themselves, than for example on pornhub. I don't hate guys who use it but it feels to close to a parasocial relationship for me so I don't want to date a man like that. And I doubt a man would want to date a woman who spends her money chatting with a Henry Cavill look alike who flexes and jerks it on camera lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 10:14 AM

I can only speak for myself in this. I don't want a child because it's just not a life I want and I don't really enjoy kids until they're adults - but the second main reason is just how unfair the biological burden of pregnancy, breastfeeding etc. is on the woman while the man literally just had to nut - at least now that both parents work. And I've yet to meet a man who makes up for that unfairness with his amazing treatment of his pregnant wife/taking care of everything during and after.

Yes! But you said women have no incentive to change as long as men are chasing them - why would women change if men stop chasing them - according to my anecdote won't women just continue having their high standards but only look for those guys and ask those out themselves then is what I'm asking?

There is! I believe sex is an act which you either consent enthusiastically to because you want it with that person, or you don’t do it. Paying for sex means that person would not have sex with you for free (willingly and enthusiastically) and requires something in exchange to put up with it. That is not a view of sex that I wish my partners would hold, and it is important to me that we share this view of sex as something both people are in on happily, enthusiastically and not in exchange for money. So then why doesn't he date someone who he has a sexual relationship with instead of dating this woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/25 05:46 AM

Because their relationship is romantic and is set up from the beginning so that sex will be a part of it in the future. If he thinks it's important to have a romantic relationship that includes sex from the start, why doesn't he just go and do that instead of this weird set up of being in a romantic relationship but then having sex with others on the side?

I'm just saying that if you're looking for a partner for life and this one has everything including being great in bed, but maybe some person was slightly better, I don't think it's a problem to settle in that aspect of the relationship when the other qualities are far better than what you could have hoped for in a partner. If someone values their partner being the best they ever had above all other qualities then yes, settling for less will make you unhappy, but I think most people are happier …

/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/25 01:17 AM
2

Nope. Communication is also a fundamental building block of a relationship, that doesn't mean you need to date a clinical psychologist specializing in open communication for couples for the relationship to be good and not be "a betrayal of yourself". I still don't understand what you mean by the compromising thing, do you think being in a relationship with someone you like is a compromise? Would you rather be with someone you dislike? I don't get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 02:25 PM
1

For whom is the woman liking you a compromise? The man being liked or the woman liking him, who is compromising? Nowhere in any of these comments was it suggested that the woman being married to a man who isn't the best she's ever had sex with goes around and tells people that. That could be something she keeps entirely to herself, so I don't know why you're adding so many assumptions to this scenario. In fact it was literally written in my first comment that both people treat each other with lo…

All I'm hearing is it's fine for men to settle in some aspects for women but women should find everything about the man she's with better than anyone she's ever been with before, and that is ridiculous. If a man is committing to a woman in full, yet she is not offering her absolute best back, there's an incongruence. You just said the man is probably settling in other regards, so then they're both not offering their best - aka they're on equal footing. A person can have wild sex with someone whi…

Yeah maybe 2nd best in one aspect, but 1. there's more to a relationship than physical attraction that she is likely not settling for here, and 2. considering how much men complain here about how hard it is to find a woman, it can't possible be that men all get their ideal perfect woman? Everyone settles in some way, I don't see why that is such a terrible thing as long as your partner treats you in a way that makes you feel loved and appreciated? Bingo. But just like how lots of men want a woman who hasn't slept around out of fear of STDs, being compared to her past partners, incompatible views on sex as recreational fun vs as a way to connect romantically and show love, being judged for his lack of experience etc. there's lots of women who don't want a man who has slept around for the same reasons and those women most likely would want a man with little to no sexual experience.

What do you think are the other reasons for men's QOL being lower than women's? And I think yeah, a lot of people complain about not being able to find a partner and I think it is partially due to both an increasingly self-absorbed general society due to social media among other things, causing people to not see themselves in a realistic light - but also, I'm not sure most women want to marry the same man they hook up with. I personally don't care about earning more but I want someone who earns roughly similar to me or at least enough to live the same kind of life as me so we can do fun things together. I don't want to provide for someone financially because to me that's what a parent or caregiver does, and as long as we're both healthy and able I want us to be equal in that regard. I don't want a man to provide for me either, hence my take on this.

I don't know to what extent other women dislike or like men who modify a lot of of themselves, but I think both men and women prefer people who don't present themselves as having modified themselves. I don't think it has to do so much with only liking natural and innate traits though, as it does having ideas/prejudice about what people who have acquired those things are like. I think men want sex with women more than women want sex with men because men have 20 times more testosterone than women, and a reproductive system that makes them fertile all the time - not just once a month. I also think the emotional intimacy part of relationships is less of a driver for women because women on average have more emotionally intimate and supportive friendships with other women, than men do with other men.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/25 09:54 AM

Women, like men, are not a hive mind. I’m 90% sure the women who want men to be more emotional are not the ones who claim they get the ick when men are emotional and open with them.

The red pill ideology is inherently antifeminist, so if he actually says he adheres to it then he just would not be a feminist. I'm sure you're right about some points but I have to ask - how can you overvalue or undervalue things in attractiveness? Attraction isn't a list of boxes you check, it's just a feeling that is hard to rationalize or explain. I've felt intense attraction towards men taller than me, shorter than me, white, brown, young, old etc. I don't look at the physical qualities of people and rank them, and then pick off of that - it's just there or it isn't.

I will say, on dating apps absolutely women will reject men for stupid stuff because we get swiped on more --> more options --> whoever has more options can be pickier, of course. If you know there will be someone who checks more of your boxes who will swipe on you then you might as well look for them. I think men would be doing the same thing if the roles were reversed and women were not picky. From an evolutionary/biological perspective women need to be pickier because there's more risk in rep…

Yeah of course, but just because one party gets hurt more doesn't mean there should be legal consequences for the other. Relationships are always risky and you always risk getting hurt one way or another. Being dumped, death, cheating, divorce, or needs going unmet will always hurt one person more than the other. That's kind of the thing with a relationship, and if you choose to be in one you choose to take that risk.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/25 11:18 AM

Oh no are you one of those people who think it's the responsibility of those outside the relationship to maintain the fidelity of said relationship. What? The repercussions are the end of the relationship and your partner telling anyone you're an untrustworthy cheater - "ruining" your reputation as a partner. Most cheaters don't want to be found out or served divorce paper because they want to have their cake and eat it too. And the reason people don't get married is that there's no reason to be except love and tax benefits - maybe not even that, or different benefits, depending on where you live. Do women around you say that they don't care if their partner is physically attractive to them? Because that is not the experience I have had with any woman I've met - all of them value looks in a partner. Not more than personality, but they are absolutely also visual creatures
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/25 09:24 AM

Based on spending a fair amount of time on this subreddit I'd say this is the case for most RP men (at least here): They grew up thinking being nice will get you a girlfriend because of the "women are not visual creatures, men are - women are more attracted to personality" thing that's been going around since the dawn of time I guess. They think of themselves as nice people, maybe other people tell them they are too, and they still get no play. Then they find out men who are abusive, mean, misog…

Point, blank. We do not need to have these long counter-arguments to the OP and whether the men who complain about this would like the women who have no dignity and sleep with men who hate them. It just comes down to "mean men are getting sex, while I'm nice and am not getting sex. I want sex: these women should sleep with me instead."

I answered the question though didn't I? I said size matters to me, too small is not good and too big is not good - average is nice. So no, bigger is not better. You claim men want the truth yet every time I or other women say this we're called liars, so which is it?

Sure, but your claim was that it's not offensive, and it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/25 07:00 AM

It is offensive, there's no way around it. It's like getting an STD test in a relationship and telling your partner about it but claiming you don't think they cheated, it "just happens in some cases so I had to know". You can still ask but it is always offensive to insinuate your partner cheated and that you don't trust them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/25 06:46 AM
4

Sure. But I feel like a barely 20-year old dating a 40-year old, regardless of gender, is not really comparible to preferring a certain height or weight in a partner, for obvious reasons.

Not being disgusting doesn't equal attraction. That's not what the question was about
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 05:42 PM

No - being a loser or not depends on other qualities and behaviours, but some of those may correlate with not getting women.

I see your point, and I think your right, I think our perspectives might be different. For example, I grew up where university is free for everyone, you even get paid a small sum every month as a student.

I'm rarely talked over or not asked things back by other women so I find it hard to imagine that situation. In high school sure, but now as an adult I find most other women are eager to talk to new people? It's absolutely harder to get into the group than it is to stay in it, but isn't that incentive for dudes (and women) to be more inviting to others?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 07:50 AM

Why do men ignore other men in social situations when women, according to your comment, don't exclude other women but ask them for a coffee after the class etc? Why don't guys work to include other guys in their social circles in these situations, and ask them out for a beer or something after the class?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 06:36 AM

Absolutely valid to feel like kids bring you happiness, but if your entire life purpose and happiness is dependent on having a child you are shooting yourself in the foot. There is and can be more to life, but a lot of comments here insinuating a man's life is nothing without a family feels like self-inflicted unhappiness when they could just decide that's not all there is to their life.

I answered maybe to that, and that's because I stereotype men who seek out jobs like police officer, military, security guards etc. (pretty much any job where you'd carry a weapon) as a person more inclined to violence. I don't want to date violent people, people who engage in MMA or other types of martial arts and so on because I'm not a violent person and violence turns me off. I'm 24, studying at university in a friend group who are all in the same master's program, and this is what we all do outside of work/school. We live in a northern European country with good work life balance. I don't think any of us have a sheltered life style, but our age and not having kids is probably the biggest factor in living the life we live. I really don't feel like the things I listed are signs of a privileged lifestyle though, especially since they're done outside of work/studies.

A man who is nice, respectful, fun to be around will never be considered disgusting just because he’s a virgin or doesn’t have regular sex. A guy who is socially inept and crosses boundaries, is boring, is outright sexist or in general has a lot of negative qualities and doesn’t get sex will be considered disgusting, yes. Not because he doesn’t get sex, but because he is not a nice person to be around.

Unless there’s any research done on a larger scale than anecdotes that proves women at large would choose to partner with men who are mean, ugly, etc. as long as they have money there’s no backup for your claim. They have to be physically attractive, relatively normal (non-violent, not a liar or extremist, not stupid) and fun to be around. Compared to a long term relationship they don’t need a nice family, they can be religious, their views on children/future commitments don’t matter. This: Decent looking women are almost never actually “single”. They may not be official with someone at any given moment, but there is ALWAYS someone in the wings. Someone buying them drinks or dinner. Someone they maybe hook up with once in a while. Of course attraction is implied? I’m very confused about what the problem is, being physically attracted to your sexual partner or potential sexual and romantic partner is not a high standard. If the men they’re physically attracted to aren’t nice, honest or able to provide for themselves then yeah it’ll be hard to find someone. Especially since on this sub it’s very clear by men that being settled for by their partner in terms of looks is not something they want or would be fine with.

In the modern world men pay child support for children they take part in creating because women, just like in the rest of the animal kingdom, can otherwise (and do) leave a woman with a child and full responsibility when she didn't create it alone. In a modern society that doesn't work, and those who create children should be responsible for caring for them. I wouldn't say that makes women's lives SOOOOOO much easier, the best alternative would be that forced child support isn't needed because n…

/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:26 PM

Men also get help from the state? Men in poverty, men w illnesses, men with disabilities, men without jobs etc. Should they also not get help until they prove themselves worthy to you by finding a relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:17 PM

Aah yes, that will fix the issue of men feeling undesired and unwanted by their peers. "No woman wants you, but here you go dear, here's a robot that has no concept of attractiveness you can put your peepee in. Do you feel less lonely now?"
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:15 PM

It is. And I strongly believe with the difference between how women engage with other women as a group vs how men engage w men as a group, that if all the men moved out of the cities the women would rather band together quite well and start dividing all the manual labor among themselves, than move out of the cities to bear and raise the children of angry men.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:12 PM

Exactly! Whoever sacrifices the most, has the highest risk and puts the most effort in the actual procreation, (and has the shortest fertile window) will ultimately be the choosiest with their mate. That makes sense for the whole animal kingdom, not just humans.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:04 PM

I've never seen any effort to retrain men to be less physical though, so I'm not sure what you're referring to? I feel like it's a pretty commonly reiterated and accepted thing that "men are visual creatures". I know both me and women I know have been told to look past a man's looks to focus on his personality when dating, but I've never met a guy who has said he's been told to go for a woman he isn't attracted to because she might be nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 02:35 PM

This is the core of this subreddit, and the answer to your post title is "yes, you are right, being upset is an okay and acceptable way to feel about that". This sub deals with solutions to that problem though, which starts the conversation: "how do we fix this issue?", that very quickly and very often ends up in "how do we force women to "retrain" what they're attracted to or date men they're not attracted to so men won't be without romantic relationships".
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 01:55 PM

This ranking system isn't valid in the real world, either I'm attracted to the person or not and the people I've been attracted to have all been very different. The main thing they had in common is they were from the same country as me and around my age. The attraction wasn't based on a list of qualities, but chemistry, vibe, if we laughed together and liked each other's looks. Stuff that isn't quantifiable.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 06:07 AM

Except for the highly romantic things on this list I could do, and do do, all of these with my close female friends and often - and it gives me a ton of joy. I'd say even more than with a partner, if not just on the same level. What would make these activities for you more enjoyable doing them with a woman than with your close male friends? No? I don't hang out with "modern men" who are bad people so I don't really have a lot of pet peeves. The men I know are great, and normal people. If there was one thing I wish was changed and that is a bit of a pet peeve is that men's friendships are very different than women's, and rather then creating space for more emotional bonding between men which would likely decrease feelings of loneliness and reliance on female partners for emotional support, a lot of men refuse to do that.

I’ve always done the approaching, I think that makes more sense honestly. Women clearly are more ”picky” than men, for good and bad so getting to choose completely is good, and I like choosing who I actually want rather than ”oh he likes me so I should give him a chance”. I’m not sure if OP thinks this will solve the issue of a lot of men supposedly not being chosen, as women still will choose men they’re attracted to in person.

If first choice means ”the person he currently wishes to date” then yes, I want to be that. If first choice means an unrealistic ideal of a person that doesn’t exist, then no I don’t care if I’m that.

Exactly! Lots of people on this sub treat attraction (especially female attraction) as if we all have a list we check things off of and then go ”aaah 9/10 checked, that equals attracted”. No! ”I’m not feeling it and don’t care enough to do anything about it” or ”you’re just not hot to me” can apply to anyone regardless of looks. Either it’s the looks or the personality or something else not hot, why OP would be so keen t hear that though I don’t understand…

don’t feel like it’s beneficial to me or him for me to also give him a list of insults on top of that. Exactly that, and if someone told me they didn’t wanna date me - unless they’re a close friend I really don’t need an additional reason. ”I don’t want to” is more than enough, I’m not gonna beg someone or expect someone to tell me what they think is wrong with me, that is so weird.

Every woman I’ve met in real life is fine with coffee dates or prefers them, except for one woman who thought it was too low effort. Yet on instagram I hear the ”coffee dates are not dates” crowd screaming, so my conclusion is that I’ll keep listening to the women who don’t complain about coffee dates online lol.

Disagree. Some women want a man who is assertive - being assertive =/= being mean, it just means the other person doesn't have to bother choosing and people are in general lazy so most people, men and women, do want someone else to choose. Lots of men also describe their ideal woman as someone who "knows what she wants and asks for it" aka assertiveness. Women's primary reasons for being attracted to men is looks and personality, same as men's reason for being attracted to women.

Yeah please. And for the women who do reply here, it's a lose lose situation every time. Say you like big dick and get told "at least you're honest about it"/get called shallow - say you dislike big dick and you get called a liar.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 02:50 PM

Or - the women here are different than the ones on female dating strategy, so their preferences are different, and you just love big dick so much that you can't imagine anyone feeling differently than you?

I'm not a woman who claims size doesn't matter - I do think it matters. Too big hurts a lot and I'm sure too small has it's own issues. I will say though, that out of 8 experienced penises - three have included bad experiences. One of which was below average and couldn't get fully hard, two of which where above average and caused me to bleed all over my bed (one) and gave me intense pain to the point of having to end sex after 30 seconds (two). The five penises within an average span (5.8 inches…

I didn't even tell you to feel bad for them lol, you claimed that no one tells men with too big dicks to just not use their dick, and I informed you that they in fact do say that. :)

This dude you're replying too will never be anything other than insecure lol, and no amount of comments will change how much he envies and thinks about huge cock. I get it though, as a girlfriend of a bd man it is not all sunshine and rainbows - it's a lot of pain :')

Hey again dude, you're gonna hate this but I have in fact asked r/bigdickproblems multiple times about what to do when the dick is too big and many if the suggestions have in fact been "use mouths/fingers instead and don't force penetration". Do you not see how many below average men are dating above average attractive women out in the world? Just out on the street? It can't be that all those dudes have a million dollars or massive dicks, most likely they have nice personalities.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/25 05:36 PM

The "average" when taken in a MASSIVE group doesn't say much about the individuals you're actually interacting with in daily life. I bet your sweet ass men have all kinds of preferences on a group-level, but when you ask about it in real life they schew from the average. And I'm not gonna tell them they're lying because that's not how an average works, that everyone gave the same answer and then go around and lie about it.

I'm pretty open about what I find attractive on here I'd say. I like a tall, muscular man but I've found many short, non muscular men equally attractive. I prefer a 5-6 inch, average cock. 7 is pushing it and 8 hurts. I've been unfortunate in that the person I've clicked the best with on every other plane has a big dick that hurts me, but luckily his other qualities make up for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/25 05:30 PM

And why are they doing it? :D supply and demand my friend. If porn-watchers enjoy more and more depraved porn, porn-makers (female and male actors, and mostly male directors) will continue to make depraved porn because it earns them money. Considering majority of men watch porn, majority of directors, distributors, creators of porn sites are men, and majority of women do not do porn, I'd definitely say it is an industry driven by men and the interests of men.

But you can't know "the looks" until you try, as women like different looks, and can overlook "average looks" for someone who approaches in an interesting, or respectful or confident or whatever way. An average guy can increase attraction level by approaching in an intriguing way - just as a conventionally attractive guy can become unattractive if he approaches in a douchey, sleezy, boring or shitty way.

No, it's told that men who are lonely and want a girlfriend to stop feeling lonely should invest time in making their platonic male friends more emotionally supportive instead of relying on only a girlfriend and sex to feel that. It's for sure true that men don't talk to their male friends about emotional issues or open up as much, and from being on reddit a lot so many men say that they just wouldn't share their feelings like that with other men - just with their wives or female friends. Aka a relationship. Being okay without sex when you're single is because the alternative is bad/mediocre sex that is risky, with someone you don't know and who there's no intimacy with. I didn't say that, I think women have very varied standards - some want someone rich, some don't care about education or money as long as the person isn't borderline homeless. Varying standards about physical looks etc, about life goal compatibility. I just said that men wouldn't entertain a woman he isn't physically to sexually attracted to and the idea that women should is then stupid.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/25 08:18 AM

I'm sorry, are we at the point where we fault women for not wanting to date a homeless man?? I am fairly certain that very few woman would date a man on the brink of homelessness, regardless of how hot he is. Not because of social status but because he is homeless.

Unattractive = men I am not attracted to. I have dated men who look completely different from eachother though, short, tall, dark skin, light skin, arab, european, skinny, muscular, broke students, working men, glasses etc. They were all attractive to me but I can't give you a list of qualities that explains my attraction to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/25 04:21 AM
5

Okay sure but then men are getting a partner they find hot and women are not? I can't see how that's good for either the man or the women, and as has been made explicitly clear on this subreddit, men absolutely do not want their partner to settle for them or find other qualities about him what makes him a good sexual partner. It has to be physical attractiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/25 01:26 AM

"Unwilling to consider a different perspective" well if dating unattractive men is the perspective then absolutely you're right, that will not be considered - as neither men nor women want to date people they're not attracted to. So again what is the solution?

This is always what I'm saying and what this sub fails to produce - what is the solution to the problem that men have a hard time dating? Women lower their standards and date men they find unattractive? No (also, men don't want to be settled for). Men become more picky and raise their standars, decreasing the options for women who then won't be able to be so picky? No, obviously not gonna happen, especially since men don't want to limit themselves more in dating. No one can give me a realistic s…

But if the men that these women seek, those that are objectively of higher dating value than she is, also pick those women - then clearly they must be of the same mate value? Since they both chose eachother? Otherwise the man would not settle, or the woman would not accept being settled for?

So should or shouldn't women be honest about what attracts them? To get other traits to rise. And if we should, then taking into consideration that women are in fact not a monolith and do have different preferences (and not all do consider a 6'3 220 lbs muscled man in finance with massive confidence, huge dick, lots of money etc etc. the end-all-be-all when it comes to finding a partner) - how do we convey this when we are accused of lying whenever our type strays from this ideal that's been sta…

So then it is true? Looks do matter and a woman has to be attractive for a man to want to date her, men just have less problem finding women that are physically attractive to them. I agree the problem is that women in general find fewer men attractive than the amount of women men find attractive but I don't really see a satisfying, realistic solution to this problem. I don't think it's shallow at all to base attraction mostly on physical traits and I can almost guarantee you no man will date a woman he is not physically atracted to, even though he will miss out on a bunch of great people. Being attracted to who you're dating is pretty much bare minimum for men and women both. But looks also determine if women are dated? Men don't date women they find ugly, never have and never will. As a society though we're just honest about it meanwhile we've made up this lie that women are fine dating ugly men as long as they're nice or confident or successful or whatever. We're not! We should start being honest about it - both men and women want to date people they're physically attracted to, and that's fine.

This is pretty much my exact reasoning! Now I'm also in a monogamous relationship but if I wasn't and on some off chance I clicked better with a guy who's trans than with any cis guy I've met before - and the dick wasn't an issue, I would be open to dating him. But I wouldn't seek it out.

Why is it an unpleasant side? The people who have the more options will be more picky - men are less picky in who they date so women in turn can afford to choose. If it was the other way around men would be able to be more picky. Exactly, and seeing as both men and women want sex with people they find attractive in some way I don’t need that explicitly stated, it’s just mentally added when people say what they like as it is a minimum. Not necessarily hugely conventionally attractive, just that they like what they look like. If a man tells me he likes the women he sleeps with to be for example assertive and clear about what she wants, and that’s a turn on, I assume we’ve already passed the threshold of physical attraction…

Well maybe, in a lot of cases they are ugly too though and the women still stay. But don't you think "mean bitches" also have some allure that makes the men stay with them in spite of them being mean or abusive? It does feel physically better for a lot of women, as it does for men - but yeah it's also just biologoy and horny hormones that makes it so alluring. Doesn't excuse not using proper contraception on both parties tho when the risk is as catastrophic as unwanted pregnancy!
