I was just curious if these rituals were perpetuated only by men. For example, you wrote: The fact is, many of these countries have a strict patriarchal cultures, and you'll be better off socially as a man than a woman. Maybe some men see it as a way of demonizing male sexuality and at the same time allowing women to express their sexuality freely. Women want to be able to be sexually liberated but also want to control men's sexuality. Why is it that sexuality isn't treated equally between the sexes?
