STFU for the first timeI think my post wasn't free from flaw, but ultimately was a normal part of any relationship. I had a win, and rather than celebrate it with me, what happened? That's my cue to leave. Huge red flag guys. Take it easy | /r/askMRP | 14/09/21 01:14 AM
| -2 | STFU for the first timeUh maybe some part of me. Since validation seeking is a behaviour we all have here, including me. If you want to tell me you saw a little validation seeking in my post, just say so. But no, that's not what I got. I got some great comments that clarified my experience. I only really learn from dialogue. Tried it other ways. Doesn't work for me. You are the one levelling us so you look better. Contributing nothing and commenting here to prey on people who are still struggling to control their vali… | /r/askMRP | 13/09/21 11:51 PM |
| -3 | STFU for the first timeThat's not helpful. Posting here is and it's getting me results, helping me take action towards confusing ass concepts. Sure I might have to control my validation seeking behaviour while doing it, but so do you. And concealing it in your language doesn't fool me. You have to control that part of you too. Stop expecting people to suck your dicks and do whatever they tell you. I'm not a slave. I'm checking if shit is going good or sideways. If something new and unexpected happens I am also making … | /r/askMRP | 13/09/21 11:44 PM |
STFU for the first timeIt's hard to remember. It's like all I remember is going to sleep. I'm trying to keep track of my thoughts and between my own lines by posting. Maybe take a look. I was creating my own noise. It disappeared. Since then, because I like to turn everything into a practice, I was trying to quite that noise at will, but that just created more, quiter, more dense (physically draining) noise. To see this problem illustrated hilariously well, see the new Tom Holland film on Prime called "Chaos Walking".… | /r/askMRP | 13/09/21 11:14 PM
| -2 | STFU for the first timeYeah it's weird. It feels like I turned the key to my flat door and found an empty place. Now it's gone I realise how shitty the furniture was. That's nuts. That's exactly what feels like has happened. Like something deeper happened automatically. It's very hard for me to continue doing things without knowing exactly what is happening and changing. But I know I've been doing what I need to do and it's convincing me that I'm stronger and more capable and it's allowing me to STFU. Those are all po… | /r/askMRP | 12/09/21 06:39 PM |
Building FrameThanks man. I think a lot of this I'm struggling with is about self trust, responsibility and independence. All things I lost along the way. I can regain them somehow. Working on my mental, physical and combat strength is definitely helping. | /r/askMRP | 12/09/21 01:09 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - September 07, 2021OYS #2 I have a weak mind. The whole thing here where one guy has a thousand "she's" in his post and another guy highlights it comes to mind. My own dependent personality comes to mind. Strength comes to mind. I think it was downhill for me (even more downhill) when I listened to the likes of David Deida and John Wineland. They practice what can be safety termed "relationship yoga". It's a rush, I am not going to lie. For an addict, it was a high. Sure. But it's message isn't clear enough. The r… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 12/09/21 12:49 AM
Building FrameHey man, we all make mistakes. Let's tone it down a little. If I learn 100 truths about myself with a tone that basically says I'm a piece of shit, then I'll end up having 100 tear downs. I think where you're coming from was probably off key here. The content of what your saying here is great, but it's like a nice decoration, the real purpose being to get in a tear down. If that is whats happening, I think it's up to you to find out where that's coming from. | /r/askMRP | 09/09/21 06:52 PM
It's all your fault, wins included. This reminds me of a quote that applies to my life right now. It was Willpower's Not Enough by W&B, he's quoting some guy in saying, "if you're not laughing on your way to recovery, you're doing it wrong". I didn't pick up the book again. When I found MRP I saw this ladder that people had climbed before. My whole life I've imitated others in order to get results. The approach fit for me. I climb this ladder, get the results, then I'll have what I've been searching for. The problem there is that … | /r/MarriedRedPill | 09/09/21 05:43 PM
Building FrameThanks. I've got me a journal to OYS daily. I'm finding it pretty hard to look at my flaws. Probably the hardest thing I'm ever going to do. | /r/askMRP | 08/09/21 02:27 PM
Building FrameThat’s a satisfying definition. The scary thing for me about that is, it’s not necessary to be right. But one thing I think I’ve learned by being wrong is that if i am wrong about reality, reality frustrates my goals. If I keep goals at an edge, then I’ll know; I’ll have my finger on the pulse of myself and reality. Success or failure will tell me if I’m getting reality wrong, or if reality changes. So I don’t have to be right, just always ready to shift my mind based on whats true. I learn thro… | /r/askMRP | 06/09/21 09:49 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - August 31, 2021Yeah I am exactly like that. This concept blows my mind. Copied it to my master notes so I don’t lose it. I’ve never considered things this way. I’m seeing the actions I take differently. Instead of trying to change my head by changing my head, I could do something to shift my mind. It might have an internal effect. Maybe instead of working cerebrally, if I hit the gym regularly, I can show my mind that I can handle exercise without taking things too far. Rather than arguing and debating with it… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 06/09/21 09:04 PM
Building FrameLast thing. I’m glad you feel understood because it’s not a popular way of thinking. Thanks so much for saying it’s reasonable to lose faith. It means so much to me spiritually that I’m not the only one and it’s great to relate my experience. I’m finding your advice golden. I really feel you understand what I’m looking at in front of me and I’m going to run with that emotional frame. It agrees with me and I’m going to take your advice on wholeheartedly. | /r/askMRP | 06/09/21 06:28 PM
Building FrameAlso exactly. I can’t tell you how vulnerable it is for me to leave my mind and go off to the gym. It’s leaving the familiar and safe and starting to do some real learning. I am scared I’ll make a mistake, but now that I know I’ve learned all I can by thinking, I’m motivated. The carrot for me is I’m gonna learn some higher stuff that you can’t find in books. I’ll try not to; but if I break my bones doing something stupid, I’ll accept it. It’s worth it and the mistake will teach me something I c… | /r/askMRP | 06/09/21 05:58 PM
Building FrameI’m so grateful for all the comments, but especially for you engaging with me on a philosophical level because I hit a breakthrough writing my reply. I can understand other people and where they’re coming from strategically. But after engaging in it philosophically and in sincere dialogue, that’s really helped allowed me to get to a breakthrough. In general that’s rejected here, for better or worse, but it’s a philosophical need I had to satisfy and I couldn’t do it alone. It’s also helped me to… | /r/askMRP | 06/09/21 05:49 PM
Building FrameTwo things scare me about that. It’ll be rare for me to trust other peoples realities. See them more as delusional from this place. With a strong frame, I’m gonna be super certain and surrounded by yes men. It’ll be hard to question myself. If I’m going to really do this. I need straight talkers with strong realities around me. | /r/askMRP | 06/09/21 03:38 PM

Own Your Shit Weekly - August 31, 2021I notice that when I try to control my anxieties, they tend to snowball and get worse. I can sometimes welcome this when I'm fighting boredum. It's almost as if allowing worry to spin and get stuck. Oddly, it gives me distance from what I fear losing. Two things that help me deal with anxiety are: To get away from it, by paying attention to my outside environment, (which gets the hamster wheel amygdala to stop turning). To get into it by practicing letting go. Which paradoxically calms me and al… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 04/09/21 11:47 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - August 31, 2021OYS #1 Stats 29yrs, 10.5stone, 5'9", single for a year after 4 years of total domination, Intro I don't relate to everything in this forum, but enough that I'm here and ready to learn. Hopefully, I'm good to jump in. I've managed to allow myself to learn something today that's brought me to take part in OYS. I got off a phone call to the samaritans and, I noticed that I have a huge problem with learning. Listening, and learning, for me, is very vulnerable. I started to catch myself DEERing every… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 04/09/21 11:11 PM
