You must actually get women then. If I don't put 1000% into getting a woman, I just won't wind up getting one. Someone once told me that if I stopped trying, I'd just wind up meeting women randomly. I tried for 2 whole weeks to not try and I ignored every woman I knew. I've never seen women so happy. After 2 weeks, I couldn't take how happy all these women were so I went back to my standard operating procedure.

For Women: How do you actually assess if a man is more wealthy before you date him? I'm not a woman, but I know a woman who is very open about only dating wealthy men. The way she identifies them is by the brand jeans they wear. Apparently, she is familiar with the brands of expensive jeans. I realize, some men will counterpoint the idea that there are wealthy men that don't wear expensive jeans. But I think from this woman's point of you, a wealthy man that doesn't spend his money isn't of any …

I'm also sick of watching people act like women are not also suffering from this loneliness epidemic. In case it means anything to you, I have been decently aware of the female loneliness issue. I feel bad for such women suffering from that. I will sometimes message one of them when I run into them. But they never respond. So, I'm doing my part in offering some online companionship. :-) Some men literally fuck holes in their bed ... ... ... Why is everyone looking at me all of a sudden?!?! mastu…

Many men depend on women to feel complete Not disagreeing with the post, but I just wanted to say that any man (or any person) who needs another person to feel complete or happy really needs to change that aspect of themselves, even if it requires therapy. That is absolutely the road to madness. Source: I used to be someone who needed a woman to be complete and all it did was keep me in depression for decades, which ironically kept women out of my life. Today, I don't need a woman to be complete…

OP, I will one-up you and say people should consider microdosing with mushrooms. Antidepressants (which I'm been on before) hide the pain. It's something a lot of people (like myself) can sense when on antidepressants. I'm not saying it's not helpful, relieving pain can be extremely helpful. But it isn't ideal. My experience with microdosing mushrooms is that it "melts the pain away". It doesn't feel like the pain is hidden or masked, it's just gone. Additionally, at least with my experience, it…

i doubt u do but every day i lose that empathy more and more as i see women continue to be stupid with this “game” And that's the part I got, which is why I said "Jesus, dude". My recommendation is to try to remember that while many women exhibit the issues you point out, there are many who don't and those people make sensible choices. It's very easy to get tunnel vision on the negative parts of life and people. I also lost my empathy once. And it just made me miserable and more isolated. Since …

That's the thing, I think the hypothetical guy will. As it is, there are average frustrated chumps heavily complaining when they see their female friend, whom they had a serious crush on, run off with some random dude. They are frustrated because of the investments they made in what they assumed was going to be an eventual payoff, which didn't payoff. I can't imagine how they would be if they actually did serious effort into changing themselves solely for a girl's attention and things didn't wor…

They know what he lacks and can EASILY give him a nudge in the direction with minimal effort. But society likes to pretend this is rude/impossible/fake even tho it def works and it's low risk high reward action My problem is what happens if the guy changes himself for the girl, but the girl still doesn't want him? This sounds like the road to insanity to me. Friendzoned guys really just need to find another girl. That's what I'd do.

Because younger women are usually less mature than older ones Completely depends on how you define "mature". Unfortunately, "mature" is a whiteboard term where anyone who comes by just throws on whatever they want the word to mean. All I can tell you is I have a few examples of women my age criticizing me, insulting me, or just being demanding on first dates when I don't even know them. Never happened to me with younger women. I'd call that a maturity issue. Disclaimer: I don't exclusively date …

You're getting used if you enter a relationship with a younger woman. She's not picking you because she actually likes you. It's for your money. She'll be lusting after younger hotter guys while she's with you. The problem with this argument is that it too much separates money and what attracts women, when those two are linked. I think if you take a look at women and their relationship to "status", you will see that much of the time, money is an important component to female attraction regardles…

I'd rather be alone than date another man. Sounds like it's for the best. If it makes you feel any better, I've refused to date men my whole life. Sooo.... high five. Men aren't some big prize for women. I don't think men ever claimed we were. If you can't provide respect, kindness, and companionship There are men who can. The issue is you women keep choosing a-holes like me, then blaming them. As long as guys like me get women, we're teaching the good guys they need to be like me to get women a…

the younger women tend to want money How many women are not attracted to traits that are attached to money or money itself? I'm not saying the entire sex is this way, but this is not age-dependent. I actually know a woman who owns a business to help men with their online dating profiles. Can you guess what she says is the ONLY thing she has to do for ALMOST ALL of her clients? She just has to make her men look more successful in their pictures. That's it. No rewording self-descriptions or adding…

When are us men NOT father figures? - We seem to have to pay for our dates to show our ability to provide. - We take the lead during dating. - We have the responsibility of protecting our dates. - Many women even seem to prefer men who resemble their fathers. These are all fatherly traits. The second we are men, we are forced to either adopt a fatherly vibe, or not be able to date.

you likely have nothing in common aside from sex. People keep telling me this and it keeps just not being true. This is just an assumption based on people's imaginations. I am an old guy. I DON'T exclusively date youngins, but I always wind up with significantly younger women than my age. You know why? Because I have nothing in common with women my age. What do guys do if they want virgin women but cannot get them? One thing I've seen happen with people who set their bar too high is that they become extremely resentful and start hating on the world for not delivering to them exactly what they want. I've seen this in men who demand virgins and women who demand the three 6s (6-figures, 6-pack abs, 6-foot tall). I think these two groups deserve each other.

Which would make him as valued to me, a woman, as a dildo. But then other women will see him as higher value if they see you two together and any men that find you the least bit attractive will also see him as higher value. I don't think OP meant for every single person on the Earth to see a man that is a hookup as high value. I think he meant that a lot if not most would. I have to agree with that assessment.

That can be horrible advice depending on the person. Many people have to actively engage their social/love lives to get any progress. If you are really good-looking, where you just walk around and people engage you, then that person can do what you say. Ever hear of the phrase "I never got married because I was focused on my career"? I have and it's never sad with joy and happiness.

I think there's one other way to kinda have confidence is to be desensitized to rejection. As soon as I get my living situation fixed later this year, I will start having to meet women again. But before I do that, I will start going to public places and randomly go up to people to say something ridiculous. I don't disagree with any particular point on the post. However, I did want to add this one twist that I have come to believe. Good looks affect a person's perception of intelligence, humor, and personality. In fact, I believe there is a study proving this. I think it's called the Halo Effect. So, in other words, if you are physically attractive, you are much more likely to be regarded as having a good personality. So, this is just another dagger into those of us lacking looks.

I would say the problem is the reverse: many women's standards are too high. There is nothing wrong with taking what's in front of you and appreciating it. In fact, that is the recipe for happiness. I do think there is something wrong with refusing everything in front of you and chasing some image or list a person has in their head.

reddits use of "sexual predator" I would go much farther with this and say people use that term both off and on Reddit to negatively label anyone they don't agree with. In fact, we are now a negative label culture. Everyone is always looking for the next negative label to put on someone so they can put them down. As if that's an ok thing to do. Talk about reading way too far into what someone is saying. That's not what I said at alllll This is my understanding of the situation: - you wish to change the behavior of a large group of men. - you wish to do so using social influence. Manipulation is to attempt to control someone by making use of something. The something = social influence. The attempt to control = attempting to force a behavior change. The someone = a large group of men. So, how is this not an attempt at manipulating the …

I would just like men to improve their behaviour so I don't have to sift through 100+ idiots to find 1 decent one, while also facing abuse. The world is full of idiots. We all have to deal with that. I'm not saying it's right, I'm not saying it's the way I think the world should be. I am saying welcome to the club. This would also benefit men, as women would become more active on the apps. This is what a lie sounds like because there is no way you could conclude this on behalf of all women.

If you want to fix online dating you have to separate casual sex from relationship seeking people. The funny part for me is that there is a separation for that. One group is called men and one is called women. /s Yes, I'm partly joking. But only partly.

men should stop complaining about their lack of success unless they are willing to support women. Well, let's change this around. When are women going to do something about all the gold-digging women and the women who only reject men based on height? If they don't do something about that, then women shouldn't complain about being treated badly. I've personally been used twice for money. I don't see one woman doing anything about that. It's not that I'm twisting your words, I'm filling in one possible result that you seem to be ignoring. It completely depends on the area people are in, but as a person (not even segregated to just being a guy), telling someone how to behave are fighting words. Well they are leaving in droves, most apps are 2/3 men or 3/4 men. You're going to need evidence for this. From what I've seen, less women get on there in the first place, which is because they get real-life dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 10:32 PM
1

Okay... So if all women leave the apps, what do men expect from the apps? I don't know. Which universe is this happening in? Which Spiderman does that universe have? Is that the one with Gwen Stacy? We are officially in fantasy land. This just isn't happening.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 10:31 PM

Online dating isn't more positive for women, that's my point - that's why we leave it and it's mostly men on the apps I don't think that's true at all. I think the narrative is being changed to fit your point. I have mostly female friends and most don't make it to an app because they get real-life dates. That's the difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 10:29 PM

Yeah but if you're not super successful on the apps, it baffles me why you'd do any of the stuff I stated Well, that's what I think is some of the issue. First, have to figure out if you just want to vent or want to understand the issue. If you just want to vent, that's fine. If you want to understand the issue, I think you have some questions to ask.

Sure sex is important but men are still influenced socially to a big degree. This in no way means it's time to try to manipulate these men using that influence. Manipulation is evil and it's sick. Only broken people use that tactic. It's ok to want to change the world by getting out positive messages but it's not ok to purposely find some pressure point for a person and begin turning those screws.

The power isn't entirely out of men's hands, and this attitude is part of why women are giving up on men more often nowadays You forgot a word here. SOME women are giving up on men. Well, if that's the case, men can't really complain about a lack of women on the apps or women being unwilling to meet. Absolutely not. While some men are caring and fun to date, these type of men overrun online dating. I feel like you are walking right by something really important here. When dating online and/or dating at older ages, mostly the cream of the crop has been taken. Mostly, only the crust is left. Yes, it sucks, but that's just the Bell curve in action. Start meeting men in real life is the best possible solution I can offer. To the more genuine guys, is there anything you think you could do to change this situatio…

Women sending cute selfies randomly, calling 2-3 times a day, constantly texting good morning and good night texts, ect. are all women striving for attention. Sadly, not once has this ever happened to me. And I'm an old guy.

To be fair, I think men do something similar. I think both sexes use mostly subconscious controls when it comes to dating. The example for men I'd use is when there is a woman that is extremely attractive either at work or in a circle of friends. I've seen the men line up for her despite it being clear that she isn't going to pick the much lesser attractive men in that line. It's tough to have an accurate self-image because we can only see ourselves in the mirror and not walking around in daily …

It's CRUCIAL for women. For men, like I used to be (250 pounds) it ain't as crucial. I would disagree on both counts. I think men underestimate the power of warmth and smiley-ness. I have seen this win over men without fail. That said, I am not sure how to teach a woman who does not have this to develop it. But women who had men standing in line to date them, and were not models, had this ability. As for men, I'd say looks are crucial. But being fat doesn't mean you are not good-looking. As a ma…

It literally doesn't even matter what those things are, if they're objectively productive and what most people would consider a valid/impressive use of your time. I feel this statement is extremely misleading. The beginning of this sentence sounds as if the possibilities are endless. However, by the end of the sentence, not only are we in subjective territory, but now you can't even be yourself, you need to conform to what most people think. Why should anyone risk their safety? If you're stuck with a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, why should anyone stop? If you are in the same social circle the chance of the guybreacting poorly to a rejection seems pretty low. Just as a counterpoint, I try hard to encourage my friends not to date each other. Do you think that is true? I think it is true. As a man (sorta, kinda), women are never nice unless they want something. So, if a woman is nice, I immediately assume she wants something. To be fair, I've gotten much better in the last few years assuming a woman is "just being nice" when she is being nice to me. I do find it interesting though that women often assume when a guy is showing sexual/romantic interest, that he's just being nice. People's assumptions can be very telling about the world…

This cute girl matches with me and starts off as very interested. This is the step on Bumble I never get to. And it's ironic, because the more you don't need attention from women, the more they give it to you. I played with this before. I once ignored every woman I knew for a whole month. I've never seen women so happy. After that month, I just went back to what I normally do. It was way too annoying seeing how happy they all were.

A guy who hardly has male friends and almost all female friends are often guys who don't know how to get a woman (so they just stick around in the friend zone), or they're gay. I have almost all female friends, so does this apply to me? Well, it did. I started out as one of those guys that would say to a female friend "oh, you look pretty today" and hoped that would spark somethi…

I see a girl having mostly guy friends as a positive. I take a girl having mostly female friends as a negative. It's a huge negative if she has no guy friends. Women with mostly guy friends will usually understand men better than the average girl and be able to get along better with men than the average girl. When I meet a woman like this, I know we will get along great even if it's not a love match. Women with mostly female friends are often pretty nuts. They've lived a life of not having anyon…

Hey! I love FDS! It ensures everyone gets to have a crazy cat lady living near them.

Someone already said this, but I will repeat it because I agree. Depending on how you feel about using "psychological warfare", try focusing on the least hot girl. I cringed when you said you focused on the hot one. First, it shows good character that you're interested in more than just looks. Second, it's just really nice to give her the attention for a change since everyone and their mother goes after the hot girl. I think this is such a positive thing to do. Would you love it if a cool girl g…

When it comes to women, the best way is to use their arrogance against them and ask them for their opinion on something. Basically, you approach them claiming "you just needed a woman's opinion". It should be something that hopefully won't start an argument, but something controversial enough so that you can explore both sides of the argument. We used to do this all the time. Worked most of the time. Then, during the conversation, I'd start laying down the humor.

One way to conquer it is to start talking to random people all the time, hot or not. Guys need practice at approaching to be effective.

The only thing I can tell you is that no woman has ever felt that way toward me.

I like this a lot. For years, women, therapists, the cops, and the law have been insisting I have X, Y, and Z issues. Maybe I'm not the one with the problem. Maybe society has the problem. After all, the heart wants what the heart wants.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work if you're ugly like me. I used to exercise 6 days per week. I always get the same reactions from women: avoiding eye contact.

Check the treadmills and spin classes. That's where the women folk hide. They run in packs.

Just thought I'd take a moment to rant. <rant>I always hated #3 and #4 about women. I think it's dumb. And unfortunately, those are things I have to accept since they are so ubiquitous.</rant>

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
