My boyfriend is too. But I'm OK with it. He (early 30s) is growing out of it. It's a self regulating behaviour. It's his way to deal with the stresses in life. People regulate through different ways. I much prefer he regulates through gaming then through alcahol, drugs, partying or chasing other women. Once he has regulated himself he's more than willing to meet my own needs for his affection. He's also a smart capable man and once he's finished self regulating he does productive stuff I admire.…

I was 100kg at my max (and actively avoided the scale). I'm now 65kg. My life is better now because of it. I'm 172cm tall (not 169 like I thought I was). IMO 50kg on my own body frame would look terrible. And I think your deadline is unreasonable, loosing weight that fast IMO will not result in a flattering frame. I think I was around 90kg when I started doing the stuff that lead me down this weight loss journey. I got to 75kg within 8 months. I've kept that off for 2 years now with minimal effo…

As a 30F with an average face who USE to have an overweight BMI earlier in life (now I'm a healthy BMI) I disagree Loosing weight and otherwise focusing on my health definitely helped me get more male attention

Good question that I didn't think about until now. The main one would be navigating non romantic relationships. I've never been the best at them. I realised most my mentors in this field have been male. They've shown me their world and given (I'd call it masculine) advice that aligns with their world view and is somewhat applicable to me. Especially as I work with predominantly males in a masculine field. But I'm learning from experience their advice, however well intentioned, doesn't fully appl…

I agree. Females shouldn't force male spaces to change. I'm a female working in a male dominated industrial field. Originally in the office but a few years ago I started on the tools. I've come to see most males tend to treat females different then other males. And it's a good thing. How guys tend to treat other guys is not how I prefer to be treated. If I enter these traditional masculine spaces I need to work by the existing rules and not expect the space to change for me. I see the benefit to…

Good point. That's probably better advice. Learn how to mask and to see the subtle cues that somebody else is also masking.

I dunno if that will be any easier. I (29F) went on 2 dates on the same day with a guy who just gave me the absolute creeps due to lack of understanding social cues and his social behaviour around his work colleagues (the evening date was to a family friendly work social event). He was very successful in his career, his line of work was one that a ND would have the advantage in. He also complained about his ex wife in a way that sounded like he greatly lacked emotional understanding. Oh also he …

Time and stress management. I'd recommend sitting down and working out your priorities. Being relaxed when your partner comes home sounds like one of your priorities so write it down. Dual incomes are too, OK you'll have to work around the negatives to it. Work out which other activities take up your time and add to your stress levels. There is likely things you can just cut out from your life. Can you get creative and find other ways to acheive the same goals? Can your partner become responsibl…

I'm getting approached more now that I've worked on being more friendly, approachable, feminine and lost weight. But even then it's mainly guys outside my own age range. I do think it's a confidence thing for the guys. And to be honest I'm also more confident interacting with people I'm not interested in, which I'm actively working on. I'm 29. I've always had older "creepy" men hit on me. But now I'm having the too young guys (18-23) approach me and my even older feminine female friend. It's lik…

I have a habit of shutting off my emotions in the present. Then later reflect on events to process them, even then not really considering how it made me feel. Doing periodic "self checks" helped. A quick body scan almost? So asking myself what I felt right now in the present. Basic things at first like noticing if I was hungry or cold. If my heart was racing, if/where I was tense, if my tummy hurt. Then working on feelings. At first it took conscious effort and I couldn't do a self check when so…

I can tell you what helped me with this exact issue! It wasn't until after I'd known somebody platonically for long enough to feel comfortable around them then THEY'D need to initiate interest for me to actually go "wait I do now feel attraction to this person". It greatly restricted my opportunities to find a suitable life partner. And in 2 of those cases it wasn't always real physical attraction, which ends up leading to less physical intimacy and is unfair for the man. Now I have a rough idea…

IMO submission is something you give to somebody who will accept the responsibility that comes with it. But most people you encounter in your life are too busy living their own lives to worry about your needs. So you need to advocate for yourself. You can be pleasant and empathetic without letting others walk over you. Work out what your boundaries are and with whom. Learn appropriate ways to let others know they've approached your boundaries. Learn your needs and wants matter too and attend to …

IMO if you can get along with the ex wife this could work. As a mother she should be worried about any adults with a role in her sons life, which would include you. If you guys share different values on how you are to interact with the kid and she won't try to come to a mutral agreement then this can easily turn into extra fights you don't need in your life. Same goes for the relationship between him and his ex, as if she's putting him under stress he can't handle your own relationship with him …

Great advice. Wow your last paragraph hit home. I've never really considered future proofing for the possibility of leaving then re-entering the workforce. I picked a physically intensive male dominated industry. It's fine for the interim, and as females go I'm strong and fit enough right now to do ok. But if I was to have kids I just couldn't return to doing well in this job. I'd loose my fitness, would be 30-35 years old so likely not as quick to bounce back and because of the time taken off w…

I was on various forms of birth control from 18 years old till 27. I had sex with (all LTRs) 3 vastly different guys in that time. A skinny "bad" boy who viewed himself as a king/ruler/alpha, an obese soft nice guy, then a 6ft2 dad bod bearded guy who was 10 years older then me and naturally lead. I wasn't attracted to any of them till after they started pursuing me. The first 2 I was never really physically attracted to. Yeah before these 3 guys I too said a man being RP would rule himself out instantly. A guy who thinks sleeping with as many women as possible is a sign of success isn't the kind of guy I want to build a life with. 1 of these guys I've vetted out as his words and actions have implied he is that kind of guy. Although I could just be projecting my existing belief and he actually isn't that type of guy. He's said just as much to try to convince me otherwise. I can see how my post may be coming off a…

I told myself the same, I'd never date a man who identified as red pilled. Probably cause I didn't think a red pill man's goals would align with my own goals. But I agree, actions matter not some broad label.

I tried 2 different pills. I didn't have a sex drive on either of them. Then after having (what I now know is) migraine auras the emergency room doctor advised me to change contraception due to the pill I was on and the auras both being linked to a higher risk of having a stroke. Then I went on the implanon. Had that for 3 years. Whilst on it I thought it was great, I had a great sex drive with my then current partner and no/minimal periods. Due to a horrible breakup I ended up falling into a de…

No. I am single though so the husband part doesn't apply to me. There's usually many traits that I admire in a man who's been able to climb high in a given hierarchy. Like a desire to constantly improve and an ability to tackle hard challenges head on. I know it aren't easy getting to the top. But for a life partner? Their obsession to be the best usually turns me off. Or maybe that's just my own insecurities thinking I could never meet their expectations? I honestly feel more comfortable dating…

What?? Did you just say her tits aren't big? Dude really? Really? That's exactly what a fat ass does in that pose. It's fat with no ligaments, and hers doesn't have toned muscle. Source: somebody with a fatter untoned ass.

Not that you will probably bother to read and understand this. But here's why I'm 50/50 about her biometrics being truthful. And why I made my first comment against the guy saying she could loose 50lbs to go from "average" to a 7. I'm 65kg 169cm (5ft 7, 143lbs). That's a BMI of 22.8 in the upper half of the healthy range. Body wise I'd rate myself a 5, maybe a 6 against the broad internet, higher against the population of women in my own area. I would say this women has less fat than me, althoug…

Only a 5? So dead on average. Most of your rating is based on weight? Fair enough. I guess there isn't much else to judge. Her tits do make me jealous. No obvious deformities. Hair colour is easily changeable. Let's roll with weight. 5'5 125lbs makes her BMI 20.9 That's in the lower half of healthy. The average BMI of women in America is 29.6. She would have to GAIN over 50lbs to get to the average BMI. If she lost 50lbs that would bring her down to a very very unhealthy 12.5. Even if she lost 2…

For understanding of his social behaviour: Is he introverted? I am and also have social anxiety. That exact sort of interaction required during a longer holiday stay with a group of people who aren't my good friends is one of the most draining and overloading situations for me. I can handle shorter interactions OK, I can plan around them and make sure I have the "energy" for it. I can run off generic non offensive autopilot stories I've likely told a million times. I use to be like that. I didn't think about the natural differences between men and women. I expected both parties in a relationship to do 50% of everything equally. But I ended up finding out for myself a lot of the stuff RP theory mentions about gender differences. I do think a lot of acting "manly" is trying to lead. What has helped me is first the idea that everybody has their own strengths and weaknesses. In a relationship it makes sense for the person who has greater strength in and enjoys…

You shouldn't aim to be "normal" or associate it with being a RPW. Wanting to be feminine and in a male lead relationship is a fine goal if it brings you joy. But you'll just frustrate yourself if this becomes your only definition of normal. Realising I can better myself has helped me deal with insecurity and anxiety. I do it in baby steps. Challenging myself out of my comfort zone slightly. Then when I'm OK there I challenge myself a bit more. I don't expect myself to be perfect straight away. …

I went from 95kg (209lbs) at my brief heaviest to around 65kg (143lbs). I'm 169cm (5ft6) so that took me from a BMI of 33 (obese) to the healthy range with a BMI of 23. I've still got curves and have had guys comment that I'm a larger size women (meant as a compliment). My doctor is very happy with my weight. I lost this weight by mainly diet changes. I view being antisocial, in the context I used it here, as a person who prioritises their own direct wants and needs without consideration of the wants and needs of other people. There may be a better word for this, self-centred maybe? It's a trait I think does have it's place, as if everybody solely focused on the wants and needs of other people it hinders self improvement and achievement. In a RP context I view this trait as more on the masculine side but not as a "every male is XYZ" way, more…

Is resentment the word you are looking for? Once it forms it can be hard to love again especially if both parties are too proud to make the steps to heal the relationship. And sometimes we and our partner get triggered by "insignificant" things only because of past experiences. Which if not resolved builds resentment that the other partner may not understand.

That would be disheartening. But I think you'll still do well! We all go through hiccups in life and get frustrated when things aren't exactly going as planned. Take it as a life lesson, grow and you'll eventually find happiness in the journey of life again. Just a suggestion. Can you move into the childcare industry? Do you agree the original red pill theory and RP community revolved around male centric goals that did not focus on settling down in a LTR? Women hold the key to sex, men the key to commitment. As a guy have you thought much about women using RP theory for the goal of a happy LTR? With what you know of RP what advice would you give a women (who enjoys embracing her feminine softer caring supportive side) who is looking for a LTR with a complimentary man? I too would have a negative impression if the other person wasn't finacially independent as I couldn't and am not looking for somebody to finacially fully support, nor in today's age do I expect a man to. Having brought (mortgage) my own home at 23 and having had stable full time jobs since 18 (29 now) I know I come off as finacially independent if they asked the right questions. You have a very direct masculine mindset that's consistent in your other comments. IMO such directness is borderline anti social and the "body language mindless games" you complain about is the opposite. They both have their place. But IMO this extreme directness has it's place in the extreme masculine world of tangible results with little consideration for feelings. It's fine for the less social situation of 1 person (or a small group of like minded people) striving to acheive their own goals w…

I let them pay. But I usually go to pay myself, they tend to stop me doing it, I simply say thank you that's kind then at the end of the date say thank you for the [insert whatever they brought]. But this is usually over coffee so it's cheap enough that I don't feel bad that they spent their money when there's a probability I'll vet them not suitable. And as most places in town don't offer table service it's done at the start of the date and I make sure they have plenty of opportunity to pay. We…

I'm female and I get annoyed when people point out my faults, or they go to point something minor I might do out. But I'm great with indirect reminders. If I've already made the mistake I'm already kicking myself for doing it. I don't need somebody else to point it out, especially during the moment when I'm trying to fix whatever issue I caused and thinking of ways to prevent doing it again. I do laugh at my mistakes later. If it's before they THINK I'm about to make a MINOR mistake I also get a…

I'm in a similar boat. Down to having drunk cuddles trying to satisfy my needs. I've taken to meeting some of my physical touch needs in platonic ways. I greet people with a warm hug. I cuddle my dogs. In the right situation I'll rest my head on female friends/acquaintances shoulders (something I picked up from one of these friends). It all helps a little and it feels a little vulnerable in a nice feminine way. Still not as good as the real thing. But cuddles with somebody I don't have an emotio…

I view submission as trust. You trust your partner is intelligent and capable at making decisions, that whatever they are asking you to do is in the best interest for the BOTH of you (and sometimes just you), he understands and respects your limitations and on the off chance their decision has a negative impact they'll accept the responsibility to fix it. End of the day it takes burden off your shoulders not having to worry about whatever problem it is he is solving. However not all men are capa…

Wow I didn't think about the friends at work part. Come to think about it I am more tense around him compared to the other workers. Mainly because of this small crush on him. The time thing got me thinking too. He's actually taken some quite a bit of time to show me the ropes at work and has been very patient with me when he could be spending his time doing his boss duties and delegate my training to another employee. It's a smaller business so up to now I didn't think much of it.

Personally I purposefully disassociate the daydream with the concept I have of the person. That way I can still enjoy my daydream. But I tell myself it's with a figure loosely based on somebody I don't know well. And on the other hand my concept of the person can continue to form independently of whatever daydream I have of the fantasy figure. I tell myself it's disrespect to compare the real person to my fantasy person. Not because that real person isn't perfect, it's because my imagination can…

I'm going to have a wild stab in the dark here. My guess is in whatever society stoned men it was men who made and enforced these rules. I'd compare it to modern make-up standards where women are the ones pushing for it and are also the ones feeling pushed to do it. Not a male issue.

I'd agree. But what females have to accept with RP is pretty hard too and unlike the male predicament it doesn't come with the hope the future can be better. With RP females have to accept their past "mistakes" highly affects their future. Mistakes which modern society actively told them were OK to do at the time. Then we have to realise these modern views actually disadvantage women who want LTRs. And it isn't until ones looks drastically changes does one really realise the privilege they had/h…

Honestly I think it's just modern society and the internet providing easy access low consequence form of communicating. Wait... communicating isn't the right word, that implies it's a back and forth conversation where the parties try to understand each other. Why isn't sperm storage before a vasectomy more popular? It's semi popular with successful purpose bred dogs before they are otherwised removed (desexing, death ect) from the breeding pool. Medical professionals are pretty good these days at long term sperm storage and creating pregnancies from frozen sperm. I can't imagine storage costs are super high. And implantation costs are a minimal extra cost over the cost of raising a human child.

I'd appreciate your opinion to this concept I've been recently thinking of. Would encouraging more single income marriages help food and wealth distribution? I'm guessing you are still young? Constantly comparing yourself to others will just make you unhappy and will delay your self growth. Better off focusing on positive things. Think of your own life accomplishments. Set goals to accomplish more in the future and go achieve them, that way you have more accomplishments to be happy about. Little acheiveable goals are super important. But also malible long term goals on who you want to be in X years time. This will also help with being "boring". Every…

In my own life I wasn't made aware of the negatives of BC. BC was one of the few sex Ed lessons they focused on too. I had to figure it out first-hand. But honestly in today's society I don't blame the power to be's from prioritising preventing unwanted pregnancies over allowing a women to experience her natural feminine self. I do think vasectomies should be more common. The main negative can be worked around by collecting semen and storing it for future use. It's also a lot more effective then…

It's more my house I brought (mortgage) at 21 years old. I'm not stupidly rich or have a huge income, but I also don't have school dept and high rental returns mean I have no cost of living. Highest gross yearly salary was $76,000 (AUS), plus my rental income on top. From 18-24 I was really strict with my money. It made for a semi boring life and some regrets as I gave up opportunities to form memories with friends. Now I've found enjoyment in spending money. I still do it wisely. Like investing…

But being stuck in that mindset isn't good for his growth or his relationship with you. Some of your examples sound like conformation bias and that's worrying. What's the time frame you have in mind to find a husband to provide for you? Realistically how many suitable men are there in your area who want the same lifestyle and have a similar timeline as you? Wait what? So you subconsciously treat "hotter" women better (BTW I agree on the halo effect) but at the same time you don't respect them? But you don't respect them because you aren't (due to your hand of cards life gave you) physically attractive yourself and not anything to do with how the woman got physically attractive? And if that's your lifestyle OK sure, it's not the only lifestyle for happiness. Chances are if somebody like you did want to live on a partners income you'd be chasing the miniscule percentage of men out there, such a small percentage that also have their own desires in a partner that you'd likely could not land one. That's nothing to do with RP. But that's a terrible financial choice. What the heck does one get out of a 10k ring?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/22 09:30 PM

RPW says he should commit (a ring) before doing all the wife duties for him. How did he get obese? He's got a stay at home RPW wife attending to his dietary and emotional needs. She vetted him beforehand to rule out a guy stupid enough to not appreciate the food she provides for him, and she made sure he was physically attractive enough for her desires. Again RPW don't discourage dual income. Nor do they say their ways are the only ways to happiness.

Even the male RP idol Kevin Samuel addresses this. A smart women who doesn't want to pay the majority of the bills after bearing children needs to work out what income she needs from a man in order to live the lifestyle she wants. The RedPillWomen sub the OP references in other comments actually talks about the importance of an active ongoing bedroom. I also notice your post is heavily based around the female being a stay at home wife dependent on her husbands income. That's not specifically RP. Male RP advice doesn't even focus around LTR. A healthy longterm relationship. Cause that's actually getting rarer these days. I (28F) recently started agreeing with the main points of RP theory. That men are the gatekeepers to commitment and women to sex. That most men value youthful feminine features in a partner and women broadly like a partners character and status (which can improve with age). And the women who for whatever reason are into casual sex are able to enjoy the higher % of males. Judged to whatever criteria the women chooses…

Maybe a better take would be telling young women interest from males for casual sex doesn't mean much. Take away the cultural acceptance that the act of casual sex should be validating for the ego. There's so many more self pleasing activities in the world then casual sex with people you don't have a connection to. And just an overal society focus on mental health, as IMO many females seeking casual sex have holes in their life they are trying to fill (ok I went to change this to something that …

Wow that's a lot to process! Sorry I did skim read it. I'm no expert at this stuff either so don't take my word as gospel. I don't think open relationships are in line with the goals of RPW. As your example shows it just brings unnecessary headache. Almost 4 years ago I considered going ahead with my then partners suggestion of an open relationship. Back then I thought it would be OK. Looking back I'm actually really glad it never happened. Love brings on strong emotions. And IMO you need to hol…

What makes you think I think all men are "sex chasers" without any self respect? What sort of manipulation are you talking about? This is the red pill women sub. Have you taken a good look around? The take here is for females to find a long term partnership that benefits both parties. Saying that the physical act of sex is an important factor for most male partners to feel respected and desired, more so then it does for females. Do you deny this? I've certainly found it to be the case with the g…

Isn't it the same as anything in life? People don't often desire what's freely given to them (extreme example oxygen). If you desire something you go weigh up the effort and risks required to get it. Both parties take risks when there's sex involved. Evolutionary speaking females are risking more for sex and the RP notion that women find less pleasure from the stand alone act of intercourse whilst males value it more makes sense to me and reflects many of the relationships I've been through. Plu…

We'll they are probably at home not chasing, thinking about or missing sex then. It's their life I won't judge the individual. But it does make me wonder if they have had a major negative experience that cancels out the idea of the positives of sex. Then the thought of low testosterone also comes to mind. And how modern society may play a part. Then I think evolution and how mutations that result in constant no sexual desires would have never survived more then one generation.

Quantitative Reasoning. I like that word, I'll add it to my vocabulary. I'd like to add to your point. With less children being raised in happily married stable families there's going to be even less kids growing up prioritising marriage in their lives and/or having a head start on the skills to make a marriage work. I am very glad alimony doesn't exist in my country and overall child support laws aren't as extreme. But if I ever was raising a boy I'd make sure he understood the risks, the large…

I kinda agree. But it seems society has pushed most men away from dating with the explicit goal of getting married. Let's think RP wise. Lets guess 30% of guys are acceptable possible husbands in terms of everything aside from his CURRENT dating behaviour. 30% being modest, cause RP says the majority of ladies chase the top 4-10% and ladies should be more realistic. From this 30% how many are actively dating with the main goal of finding a wife and thus prioritising showing off he's a great part…

But I also think you need to have a healthy relationship with food to come off as a HVW. No point in dropping the weight off fast by methods you can't maintain. And food is amazing to enjoy. There's plenty of tasty unprocessed foods out there that can easily incorporated into a healthy diet. When I avoid carbs I personally find joy in tasty fats and strong spices, and treat myself to dark chocolate and a bit of honey or whole fruit. Although technically right now I'm back on the carbs and feelin…

It did help me. But I've also put in the effort to be more friendly and warm, and put more effort into my grooming and style. The weight loss started before my RP journey. I lost 30kg (66lbs) from my largest size. But I prefer to say 20kg (44lbs) as it's going off a more stable weight of 85kg (186lbs) I was around for the past 8 years. 169cm (5ft 6), took me from an average BMI of 29.8 to 22.8. I've been around 65kg (143lbs) for 6 months or so. I'm 28 now and think I look much more attractive th…

Sounds like he's not necessarily worried about spending the cash just more worried about feeling taken taken advantage of. I'd suggest just an open conversation to put his mind at ease. I like the percentage of income suggestions mentioned in other comments. And possibly throw some budgeting in there if you aren't comfortable spending XYZ% of your income on dining out, with the expectation he too will drop his percentage to match yours. But if dining out makes you two happy and you can afford it…

I'm just brainstorming here. Diet was my first thought. Whilst forcing physical activity isn't RP providing healthy food is. Look into keto and intermittent fasting. Run it past a respected qualified doctor who supports keto/intermittent fasting first as you should question all medical advice from unqualified strangers on the internet. But anecdotally it has worked wonders for me; reversing my prediabetes, fixing my high cholesterol levels and I lost 25kg in the proces with minimal effort once I…

Yep the guy from my recently ended relationship was like this. He genuinely enjoyed his work. Often working till stupid o'clock to get more ahead. He'd work weekends. And his "day off" was spent doing paperwork for his business. Whilst he was super sweet and caring. But unlike OPs partner he just didn't have enough spare time to fill my need for quality time. At first I was OK with it. I'd compliment him for being such a hard worker and I'd work around his work hours. Offering where I could to h…

What do you want from dating? Most 18 year olds in modern western society aren't looking for marriage, it's OK if you fall into that category. If I could give 18 year old me advice it would be go figure out who you are, who you want to be, what you want in life and what you need to work on to get there. Whilst avoiding shorter term relationships/situationships/FWB as casual sex is not worth it. Then learn how to find the qualities you want in a male whilst being realistic about what you can comp…

A few things. Seeing unhappy "independent" older women who trash talk all males. It made me realise that life would not make me happy. Learning about how children really do need a present primary caregiver to meet their needs and to grow up into strong adults with the skills to tackle and be happy in this world. With huge consequences if they don't. Learning about the importance of nutrition and how our modern western sources of food values profit over everything else. Made me realise more time …

I've just come out of a short relationship like that. Before this relationship I would have agreed with you. Now not so much but I'm still reflecting on it all. I went for potential and drive to succeed. Plus his field of work was in a similar field to my own (I'm in a male dominated industry). I could help him in ways that a random woman off the street couldn't. But looking at it the success of his business is his main goal right now in life. It's his main enjoyment and being successful at it i…

I don't have a super high N count but I'm definitely not a virgin either. I've had 4 sexual partners since turning 18 (28 now) all who were relationships. I did go through a stupid young phase as a teenager thinking casual sex was cool. Luckily that didn't last long and even then for most of it I stuck to the same FWB. I actually side with your arguement. It's fine for people to care about N point. But I disagree on your points. I'll add 2 of my own that side with your arguement. 1- I've actuall…

No. Cause there shouldn't be a need. If a boyfriend or husband saw a need for it I'd be highly concerned there was other major issues in the relationship. A quality wife does not need to be tracked or micromanaged. A husband confident in his abilities to provide, support and love does not need to fear his wife doing the wrong thing. What does being Christian have to do with it? In my 13 years of Christian and Catholic school education I was never made aware of any part of the bible that said a b…

Damn that's a hard one. If you have the opportunity consider a second doctors opinion, as there is a little bit to the antibiotics debate and maybe just maybe your first doctor is a little too antibiotic happy. For instance antibiotics kill beneficial gut bacteria and modern science is only just starting to understand just how important this bacteria is. Some doctors are still in the habit of prescribing antibiotics as it's the easy "solution". Do you really need to bring it up with your husband…

I don't feel bad about it. I might even say being a virgin would be a disadvantage where I am. Adult female virgins in my country are super rare, even rarer still in my particular area. Religion isn't a big thing here. Unless they are recent immigrants but those families daughters tend to marry within their own ethnicity or the daughters choose to integrate with the main population and behave like the other girls. Modern feminism and the casual take on sex is the norm. Most young girls aren't co…

Maybe we should get rid of existing laws and create a "pick a prenup" system so couples have to choose the most fitting option when they get married? I personally am fine with prenups but at the moment some people see it as taboo to think about the "what will we do if we split up" when you are about to declare to each other you'll stay together forever. Also many people still stay happily together without the formal legalities of marriage. So I wouldn't say no marriage equals being single foreve…

In my journey in trying to be more feminine I've realised a lot of the anti-feminine things I use to do just aren't necessary for my happiness. I wouldn't necessary call them masculine things as most aren't positive traits for a male either. E.g. I use to be the person at work who would correct my workmates when they did something mildly incorrect. It wasn't my role. And it probably did more damage to my working relationships then it helped change the behaviour of the other person. My own workda…

I can understand your view. I'm not worried about his son at all. Helping where I can with a step child would still fill my desire to support and nurture. I've spoken to the son over the phone and he sounds like a kid I could happily get along with. My last partner (broke up 3 years ago) also had an existing kid, although he had 50/50 custody in the same town so I saw a lot more of her. A 2 year old who I adored spending time with and looking after (her own mother had to approve of me first but …

I'll keep your advice in mind. I am taking the opportunity to vet him and take things slowly. There's definitely a bunch of things I do admire about him. Not meeting my need for quality time factor however was a deal breaker. But he's not a mind reader so I let him know. He's actively trying to meet that need now and made 2 long term changes at his work to free up more time in his life, which was something he said he wanted to do for his life in general before we started dating.

Kinda but to me the joys I think about with kids I could get elsewhere without having to deal with the fears I've always associated with them. So in the current picture I have of my future I see myself just as happy with or without kids.

As I'm still on the fence about it it's really not much of a sacrifice. Yes I want to be in agreement with whoever I end up with on if we want kids. Just at the moment I don't have a preference. The joys I could get from children I could fulfil in other ways without having to overcome my fears. What can I do to help decide?

I better explain the context. Although my original post is about my general stance on having children. His question was raised after I expressed for the 2nd time that I need more quality time together to feel appreciated and I wasn't sure if we were on the same page to what our relationship is (these 2 times are the only demands I've made, plus once I slightly pushed for him to lock in a certain date he was hesitant on). We hadn't had a proper conversation of long term goals for our relationship…

Yes focusing on my decision is what I'm trying to do. I guess I'm worrying I should probably take a stance soon. So whilst vetting I can vet for a partner with the same view. Just as I'm doing with many things that I do already have set views on. If I'm going to insist on making the decision for myself I don't want to be with any guy for x amount of years to finally make my decision and find it's the opposite of what he wants. And if I'm not ready to take a stance soon should I hold off on tryin…

I get what you are saying. But do you think I should have a stance in general? I'm far from ready to say if I want kids with him. He just wants to know if I want kids in general. Is it fine to stay on the fence? I guess up to now my approach has been vet for the right man and on the kids matter go with whatever option he wants cause I'd be happy with either option.

Hi! 28F here. I think the topic is great. Honestly the video was hard to watch as you mostly talked about the broad RP views of masculinity instead of specifics within our schooling system. Here's my thoughts on the topic. 1) Why do we have a teacher gender imbalance? School teachers seem to be fairly underpaid both in my country (Australia), the US and most of the world; Nordic countries are the first exception I could think of. This doesn't encourage many masculine competitive males from pursu…

28f just new to RPW so don't take my opinion as gospel. I view intelligence as a wide range of things. But let's focus on your interest in political topics and keeping up to date with tech in a RPW way. I'm personally working on not creating unnecessary conflicts in my romantic relationship. My bf has other priorities in life then dedicating the time to properly research these topics and me talking alot about a serious "problem" would put the stress on him to fix that problem. His interest in de…
