Perhaps I was not as clear as I should have been. My daughter did not seek a relationship. Her mother and biological father orchestrated the entire thing, both admitted that it was out of their own personal guilt. I am not trying to interfere. I have even offered to discuss it with a counselor so that my daughter is as comfortable with it as possible. I personally want my daughter to have the decision about her relationship with him. I do not even think consequences is the right word. As it stands now, a woman can have an affair, divorce, share 50/50 custody, and still receive the same child support that she would have received if the circumstances were opposite (meaning the man had the affair and the custody was more aligned with 90/10).
