Respectfully? I don’t get it. You’re dating for heartbreak by concealing your truth for longer. Tell him how you really feel about finances since that’s the biggest reason for divorce and it’s better to now than later that yall weren’t compatible to begin with.

I got married to the guy and was in a similar situation like yours when we started dating. I did give it up. It was uncommon for me and as for him, we are now unfortunately divorced because of a lot of unresolved childhood trauma from his side including self harm. Learn from me; take your time vetting someone and understanding them before spreading it all out. Literally.

Wouldn’t it be better to be alone and love yourself than be with a superficial man? Sorry but that just sounds straight up misogynistic. Idk if you’re aware but make up was originally invented to you know, get a man to get in our pants. Does that mean I stop wearing make up? Ofc not. But from how OP is talking, sounds like she is coming from a place of insecurity that others put upon her instead of her genuinely wanting this for herself. But to each their own I guess, that’s just my two cents.

Honestly. I don’t think you should try to find love elsewhere. Find it inwards first. How can you love someone else if you’re not even willing to love yourself?

Hey I get it. I’m going through a divorce and as I’m speaking it is ripping my heart apart cause I’m remembering things. We need to remind ourselves that the person we fell in love with. Is (or in your case might) not be the person we end up being with after years for example 2 in my case. And that if worst case scenario happens what you would be more happy with. Don’t blindly trust someone like I did. Trust is earned over time so yeah.

My exact same thoughts and this is how I ended up getting divorced. Don’t be me Girlie.

Take it from me. I married someone at 22. Thought he was the love of my life like you. Even similar character traits as I read the post fully. Let me tell you that we are going through a divorce. If you have great parents please cherish them. The way he treated my parents was such a dick move. If I could go back in time I’d have chosen family and I feel like your dad is right. You attract what you believe. Don’t have a scarcity mindset. There’s enough people out there. He ain’t the only one.

We got married after 5 months. Now divorced after 2 years. Don’t let time fool you.

The cons outweigh the benefits. Make a pros vs cons list and find out yourself. It’s a no brainer.

Yep. And remember. The right person that is meant to be will certainly understand. Otherwise they clearly ain’t the one.

I agree. Had I not done this after my second breakup (both relationships lasted 2 years) I wouldn’t have been able to find myself. Soon after loving myself and the new lifestyle I created for myself and showing up for me and finally learn to be selfish and choosing myself in a healthy manner… That’s when my husband came around the corner. At the time had no idea and we started off as friends who soon started dating after a week since it felt like I was talking to my other half. He apparently als…

My partner had a similar issue until he met me. Pretty sure it just means you haven’t found the one yet. So perhaps focus on your hobbies and taking care of yourself. Loving yourself until that right person comes along

I suggest individual therapy. I used to think the same way, until I found out it’s not a thought pattern but actual PTSD caused by him cheating over and over again and saying he won’t do so again. It’s an effect of constant betrayal and feeling like you’re allowing it to yourself and degrading yourself. If not, try to write things down that you want in a partner and sit with those thoughts.

It’s not about attraction. It’s about feeling comfortable and safe with someone. We started of as friends and the attraction didn’t come until dates later.

Me and hubby went through hell. My last ex cheated on me. When I tell you that me and hubby are loyal to eachother and that love exists. You need to realise and sit down with yourself about what you want and truly think about how much you value yourself. What is your worth? So low that you accept cheating. I’m sorry but start by looking at it for what it is. I’m in no ways trying to be hard or mean. I’m just trying to be the big sis who is saying please open your eyes before it’s too late.

And this is how me and my husband operate too. Can so relate with the last few sentences to the T! It makes me happy to know and see that we made it girlies and truly got blessed! 🥹

I fully agree. Same here and don’t want kids either. But yes it definitely is the energy that gets them. Pretty sure mine is happy as long as I’m not nagging lmao.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
