Spot on! My NVX ruined our last Christmas together. Bought him some awesome gifts, and I didn't even get a card. 💔

In reality, they're not tough guys - they're complete cowards. They only abuse people around them that they deem as weaker, mostly women and children. Abusive men and women know what they're doing. Funny how they can hold their tempers in front of bosses, co-workers, and cops.

I don't really understand the question. I never said "my" man, I said "a" man, as in a hypothetical situation. I don't mean that I would want him to be violent - it's more of a quiet confidence. 💗

I went through this with the NVX that I comment on the reg about. He apparently had an Asian fetish, and would always talk about how they only weighed 80 lbs. He even showed me pictures, and was blown away that I commented on how beautiful she was. I guess he imagined I would collapse on the floor, in a pool of insecure tears! 🤣🤮🤡 I decided to give him a taste of his own medicine, and I casually mentioned my ex was not only 6 ft tall, but had beautiful auburn hair down to his waist. (Which was t…

Not saying it doesn't happen, but I've never been envious of another woman because her date is tall. I'm short, and prefer short men. As long as a man carries himself well and makes me feel like he'd be protective of me if we encountered someone "off," I'm good! 🙂

Infidelity was involved (she confessed after a solo trip), but there are always other factors, of course. He and I were inseparable as young adults. Wish I could have talked him out of it, and the rest of the family feels the same. 😪

It made me feel like a thing instead of a person. And HE told me about it, like it was just a normal thing to do. 🤮🤡

I made the colossal mistake of sending saucy (not nude, but private lingerie pics) to above-mentioned ex, and guess what he did? He showed his friends, his neighbors, and even his brother. 🤡🤮

Oh, I wasn't groped un a car, but know plenty of girls who were, and it didn't lead to anything good. 🥴 21 is a perfect age, because you're old enough to know what you want, and young enough to experience it with gusto! 😃 It will happen. Just don't force it with someone you're uncomfortable with. Wait until it feels right!
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/22 11:41 PM

I'd rather be a virgin at 21 than be groped in the backseat of a car as a teen tbh. 21 is a good age, because you're a young adult! 💗

Understandable. However, the only way to suss out the bad ones are to give it time. Bad ones are never bad at the beginning - if you move the relationship slowly, the mask drops. A bad guy is a bad guy. They make promises they won't keep, they play games, and probably have a harem of other women on the side, which you know nothing about. They're dramatic and exciting, but is that worth crying yourself to sleep at night? ETA: This goes for bad women, too!!

No, don't lie! The right woman would be flattered you chose her, and if it were me, I'd be extra loving, patient, and gentle. Who knows? The woman in question might be a virgin, too?

TW: suicide I had a younger brother. He was 2 years my junior. I always told him when he was dating to try to date the most down-to-earth girl he could find. Sadly, that is not what happened.. After 20 years married with a big house and 3 adorable kids, (I hope this isn't TMI), he took his own life because he couldn't live up to her impossible standards. I'm only mentioning this for the gentleman out there. Please be wise when you are picking a life partner, make sure your values align. Don't go…

I think that both men and women need to need to level up and improve themselves if they want to attract a certain man or woman. Just to be clear, I'm not talking about looks or wealth necessarily, although I realize there are certain women and men that want to want to attract those those qualities. I guess what I'm really trying to say here is that there are dozens of ways that we can all improve ourselves in the dating sphere that have nothing to do with looks or money.. Hey, my son's about your identical height. He's had two girlfriends, and the third is now his fiancee. All three women were gorgeous, kind, and smart. He met them all online, but not on dating apps. 🤴🏼 Don't lose hope! I'm the same height, and prefer short men. 🙂

Hmm. The man that treated me the worst in my life was 5'6" and bald. Plus hardly any income, too. I absolutely adored him, and to me, he was gorgeous and perfect! After a few months, I began to be insulted, demeaned, triangulated with his ex, and I was super-good to him. D-bags come in all shapes and sizes! 🥴

Time and observation (plus stressful life events) really separate the good from the bad. It's easy to pretend when everything's new and peachy.

Oh, I agree with this. I've dated/married very attractive men, and some less so. The less-attractive ones tended to treat me like the "mean cheerleader who wouldn't give them the time of day in high school" after they got comfortable. I used to model in my day, but always suffered from a lack of self confidence. Bad dudes can smell insecurity from a mile away. 😟 It was sad, because I never treated any of them poorly or lesser-than. I showered them with compliments, paid as much as I could on dat…

I took a long time writing a letter like this (and tried to keep it sorta-positive so that he'd read it). Much time and effort. Guess what happened? The next time I saw him, he took my letter and mimed like he was wiping his ass with it. 😟😳 Give these guys the same energy they give you, ladies!

YES. Ladies, be very slow to open up to a man. There are some things they never need to know - leave that for your female friends/family, or a therapist.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/03/22 07:48 AM
8

Oh boy, this too! Plus a minefield of triangulation: John doesn't like the fact you're three years older than me (53 and 50, 🤢). The ex was able to afford a brand-new car, plus texting and calling her just to drag me, even with blatant lies. The utter temerity of this broke, bald, 5'6" 🤡. (I thought he was adorable, actually, but his meanness turned me the fuck off!) I was able to go off my antidepressant, migraine, and stomach upset meds when I finally had enough.

That really was an insightful reply. I appreciated it!
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/22 12:49 AM

Exactly. However, later he admitted that he was the one who was dragging me to her, and he was making up outrageous lies, like telling her I smoked, gambled, and did drugs (I don't do any of those things). It crushed me that he did that, but I realize he's not normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/22 08:30 PM

Thank you for your reply. If I had to do it over again, I would have spoken up when he suggested that we all three have lunch together, but I guess her boyfriend wasn't invited?? He would not entertain me doing such a thing - he just wanted to stir the pot. The most pathetic part about this is that none of us are kids. We're all in our 40s and 50s. I hadn't dated in a really long time, so I didn't get what was happening for a long time.

Oh yeah. My ex got off on the whole triangulation thing!
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/22 10:39 AM

I agree! My last relationship ended because of this. My ex and a woman broke up over a decade prior, no kids. It took me quite a while to catch on, but he'd text her while we were having lunch, and even late at night when we were in bed. She even asked to speak to me one evening, and told me that he'd been saying horrible things about me behind my back! He convinced me that she was just trying to break us up, which stupid me believed at the time. One morning, he told me she was coming over, and …

Trigger warning: I have trepidation about posting the following story, but I think it's important given the nature of this man's hatred and disrespect to his wife, who brought his own son into the world. In about 2001, I was married to a LVM. We were married for 13 years, no kids together, and at the time I had one teenage son from my 1st marriage. He came home one day, chuckling about the conversation that had gone on at his work at lunch time . He was an electrician and worked in construction,…

The scrub I just tossed would do this constantly. I've never seen a man who's 50 that possessed less emotional intelligence! At first I would be cool and attempt to "educate" him on how hurtful and inappropriate he was being, then I started grey-rocking, until I got so (silently) fed up, that I began waxing wistfully about the qualities some of my exes had, that he lacked completely. I knew what made him insecure (height, hair, and income, as usual!) I played with him like a cat with a cockroach…
