13	How do you guys feel about circumcision? Infant Genital Mutilation is wrong. If there is a genuine medical complication that requires circumcision to correct it, then it is no longer mutilation. 1	FDA's guidelines on safe consumption of tuna (given its mercury content): "Currently, there are no guidelines for people who aren’t women of childbearing age, nursing mothers, or children" Don't the default guidelines of the FDA (forgive the ignorance, UK here) contain information for that? As in, the default guidelines say "only eat x amount". 6	Reading the responses in this thread is making me sick to my stomach... FGM = Female Genital Mutilation Type 1a = a form a FGM that is comparable to male circumcision. There are varying types of FGM (e.g removal of clitoris being type 1b). There are 4 types in total. They all fall under the umbrella term of FGM. Also. I'm not saying that circumcision is equivalant to FGM. I do believe that MGM is equivalant to FGM, where MGM would also have varying types. Those 3 categories (if we assume the "childbearing age" is primarily aimed at the potential pregnancy) are mentioned as they have different physiology to the "default" (for lack of a better word). You've acted as though PWC is saying "FGM is the same as circumcision", they've not. The comparison of MGM being similar to FGM is fine. However the comparison of FGM to just male circumcision isn't right. It would be like comparing all crimes against women to just assault against men. It doesn't work.
