I believe that is part of it yes, but also that it was meant as awareness of the shit they get, kind of why there is a black history month. It's their way of saying "hey! We're here and kinda tired of being shit on" and celebrating who they are when in the past they have been made to feel ashamed. Men have their own fair share of problems and plenty of issues but generally they havnt been nearly as bad and thats why there isn't nearly as much support for men's day I think.

Well, to be more accurate it would be hormones in the teen age years then in adulthood surgery if they wanted, buuut all of that requires therapists and other doctors to sign off for, somthing which they shouldn't do if the kid is against it.
